- The Time of Terminus - Season 4 & 5 of The Walking Dead - Those Who Arrive Survive - (as BBQ)
Terminus was one of the better arcs The Walking Dead had, especially the splintered journeys beforehand.

I say with a heavy heart that our beloved seven aka dog has passed way. RIP Seven 2015-2024.
RIP Dog
Man, that's so sad. The good one's always go too soon.
Loved the Terminus arc. This is the kind of thing I would like for future TWD, Tales type seasons that focus on groups or places or individuals to tell more of the story..
In this kind of situation there would be a lot of Troys, orchestra conductors, feral crazy people, taxidermist, cannibals, governors, Negans, Wolves, but there would be all kinds of stories of survival, not all would be rational.
I Think This Was When The Show Peaked
Me too. I wonder if the backstory of the residence of Terminus will ever be told…
Most people do.
Agreed
In the beginning of season 4 when Daryl bob are going on a supply run In the car Daryl goes through the radio and hears terminus on the radio.
Oh yeah... the Terminus storyline was outstanding! I almost forgot how good it was!! To finally realize the truth about the cannibalism... and the way they actually did it like it was normal, no big deal. It was horrifying! Thx for the look back James! What an arc it was!!
Carol's " coming out" party,,,,
I enjoy you going through these older episodes like this, there is one scene in particular I often re-visit sometimes as I find it soothing in a way, is after the hospital and they're on the road / they need water and a storm arrives. Darryl leads them to a barn, and Rick tells some childhood stories around a campfire of sorts inside the barn during the thunderstorm.
This was peak TWD for me, the scenery, environment, the survival of being on the road, the dehydration and despair before the rehydration of themselves.
In a way I think that storm essentially rejuvenated the characters, from that episode forwards all of them seemed to have their own new direction or purpose in life.
The Terminus arc is so great. Short but handled so well. S5ep1 is one of the greatest episodes
TWD was so fire back then!
Season 5 episode 1 was Melissa McBride's all the way
Definitely one of my favourite arcs too. Now I want to go rewatch it! 😂 🧟♂️🔥
It was a very good Interesting Story Line 😊🤔😲😊👍👌🍁
RIP Seven 7
This was like the highest time of the group, and when Negan & Co. came along they hit the lowest of times, but I think that's why Negan was so bad to a lot of viewers.
Yes Glenn's death was bad, let us not forget Abe eithert, but Rick & Co. always got out of troubleup to that point. They drug it out too long and it hurt the show. RIP Dog.
Awesome time in the show. .. good job
Can we finally put to rest that The Claimers were the ones who took over Terminus for a moment before it was taken back by Gareth & his group. How else would Joe the Claimer know about it? Obviously cause he escaped…
sorry - but that is not how it went at all - The Claimers DID NOT take over Terminus prior. That was another group - the last of them was still locked up in a container - Rick & Glenn let him out then he died
@@TWDExplained Yeah, he looked like a Claimer to me...
@@TWDExplainedwant if it was Randall’s group.
ahhh!! Now you are on my fav. Yes I love this arc!! I always think of Twilight Zone episode To Serve Man when it comes to Terminus. I can't say I enjoy Terminus part but I love what Carol does and when they are brought back together at end of No Santurary. I have watched this back half after they leave the prison so many times I can't even tell you. Only episode I can't watch is The Grove. It is just too much for me. I usually watch the last scene with Carol & Tyrese but rest I skip. I love the scene where Carol tells Tyrese about killing his girlfried. I thought that was brave of her and what a heart Tyrese has to forgive her. I don't know if I could of done that. Daryl & Beth episodes are my fav but I love all of rest of it too because you find out so much about all the characters and it effects all of their Journeys as they go forward.
yeah that scene at the table when Carol tells Tyreese and just everything, all the emotions and everything - just really good.
@@TWDExplained I just remembered that scene with Rick & Carl when they 1st get to that house after prison. Carl thinks Rick has died & Rick starts making those sounds & Carl thinks he is walker & almost shoots him. Wow! I really could go all day. So many great moments in these episodes! Something that has always stumped me is why Sasha left Bob to go it alone. That has never really made sense to me.
probably just plot writing - Sasha didn't want to go to Terminus - but ended up finding Maggie
@@TWDExplained That whole thing seemed weird. Salsa finding Maggie too. I didn't really get impression she didn't want to go to Terminus. I figure she wanted to go hoping find her brother. Well that would explain why she would break from group. You could be right!
@@carolinecraft2713 I'll have to rewatch - seems Maggie left them because looking for Glenn could endanger them - then Sasha wanted to hang back but Bob was going forward to look for Maggie - but it was Sasha's sidetrack that found her (and in need of help). End of 4 and right after Terminus was one of my favorite parts of the series also. That reunion with Carol was awesome - then right after Rick & Carl find out Judith is alive. Awesome times.
GROSS QUESTION
Did Glenn, Maggie, Shasha, Bob Rosita, Abe, Eugen and Tarra eat???
They went in it was all nice and cordial...???
I think probably yes... That's why they didn't hesitate when Shasha shot the dogs...
Rick looks at her, rubs his fingers like he does, and then starts gathering wood...
She tells Tara don't think just eat ....
I did a short on that once - th-cam.com/users/shortsqRSedikuePc
I think they did
- Mary did say 'Let's get you settled - and then we'll get you a plate.'
so maybe 'settled' means to herd them into the train car and they never got a plate?
@@TWDExplainedThen why give Rick and Carl a plate in the finale?
@@brianachim2670 that is the clue that makes me think they DID eat it
@@TWDExplained Same lol! The writers completely forgetting they made Abrahams crew, Tara and Glaggie cannibals offscreen.😅
