    I'm a 15 year old girl and I was born with a condition that didn't let me hear anything. I got cochlear implants when I was 7. I still remember the day crystal clear to this day it was like a whole other world so thank you so much.you actually had me tearing up because you nailed describing how it actually feels to be deaf.i had a interpreter at school and everywhere I went. It felt like I had no privacy. @pine kat audios .This truly meant the world to me. It feels so good to know that myself and others like me are being seen. You are a true blessing ❤

    This was well done. Must be sad not being able to hear anything well or at all. Must be so lovely hearing someone react to sounds for the first time, especially when they have a cute voice and laugh like Kat. Very nice to say all of that stuff at the beginning, shows how much you do and how much you care making these audios. So sweet, lovely job Kat. ❤️

    Although I have never had the need for hearing aids I did get the chance to test bone conducting hearing aids thanks to a uni professor. Could of course just be that I wasn't used to it (or that they normally would be implanted), but I definitely noticed the "background noise being a disturbance" thing because I couldn't tune anything out. It was really hard to focus on anything. Quite the learning experience, I couldn't imagine how it is to actually use them.
    Great audio btw, so wholesome and fuzzy.

    I wanna thank you for the message in the beginning, it's so kind of you to want to learn and research into things and not wanting to misrepresent things. I'm not deaf myself but the sentiment hits home with other things that I experience and it makes me oddly happy to hear that you care. You're so sweet and I hope you have a great week 🫀

    Hey, Kat. You continuously post the most compassionate and loving content imaginable. I absolutely love these audios! Also, I think audio is a great example of your VA skills. The 'trying to laugh' and the 100% genuine sounding laughing... it's just great :-) And I love how all your audios are gender neutral :-)

    I dated a deaf girl. She hated that i treated her normally, aside from making accomodations for her being deaf. She had cochlear implants but didn't use them because if she used them the deaf community ostracized her. The deaf community hated me because i could hear and considered her a traitor for dating a hearing person. She had to pretend to be born deaf to be fully accepted in the deaf community. When she told people we were just friends cuz she'd never date a hearing person that cut me deep.
    My best friend was born and raised in a hearing family and started losing her hearing. Most of the deaf community wanted nothing to do with her because she could still hear albeit barely. Basically like the person in the video who got the hearing aids. She never had a problem with the hearing community, only the deaf.
    I learned the deaf community is larger than we think, it has value, and does NOT like diversity.

      This exact same thing happens when "trans" people decide they've made a mistake and de-transition. Or lgbtq people dare to question anything about the narrative, including rather hormones are safe for 5 year plds. Or a fat person loses weight and the fat "community" turns against them
      These victimhood groups cannot stand when victims decide not to be victims. They see it as an attack because their entire identity is wrapped in being a victim, without it they dont have much.
      Its a cult like mentality
      Deviate from the prescribed thought and you will be punished. Question the prescribed thought and you're an apostate who shall be shunned

      Jesus…that sucks…imagine already losing your hearing…something you’ve never been without…and instead of finding a safe heaven and learning how to live with your new disability…you get rejected just because…you were born normal…it’s like high school all over again…getting rejected just because you are different even when you fit in…this world sucks ass…sorry for the language

    Even tho I’m not deaf but my mom and my brother are so I always have understood the pros and cons of being deaf or having very poor hearing, it’s really nice to finally see deaf comfort videos, idk why but it’s just hits different for me since I grew up with no one knowing about hearing aids and all that shit

  • @dragonfye1
    @dragonfye1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I was born hearing impaired, i can kinda hear under my own power, but NOT WELL. I will NEVER forget getting my first hearing aids when i was 5, i had never heard my parents voices properly, i had never had a book read to me without my mother signing, i had never even experienced simple ‘life ambiance’, It’s really such a magical thing to have those simple opportunities returned to you.

      I’m glad you found new things you could enjoy!

  • @fredsuper6792
    @fredsuper6792 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

    Since you mentioned that this was a request and that you enjoy looking into different ‘communities’, I thought I might give a request. I fee a bit uncomfortable doing this and want to make sure I don’t sound expectant/demanding. I just am a detailed person so I make a detailed request. I really don’t care if I don’t get exactly what I want, or nothing at all.
    I got diagnosed with a tic disorder called ‘non-epileptic seizures’ last year (technically I was given two names for the diagnosis, but I forgot what the other one was. It was mentioned that the two names describe the same disorder). Anxiety/stress/worry is a very common cause for tics, which becomes a viscous cycle when your tics cause said anxiety. I’ve searched for videos/audios with a listener with tics, but I really only found one.
    If I could make two specific requests; 1. For it to be a ‘comfort’ video with not only the tics themselves as a focus, but also insecurities surrounding the tics, specifically 2. ‘full body limp tics’. Basically, all the skeletal muscles go limp and your stuck lying on the ground for 10-15 seconds (normally). I personally have a lot of this type of tic and often struggle with feelings of weakness, uselessness, the necessity to be coddled (I need to do certain things and others pay extra attention to me because of my tics) and an inability to protect and care for those around me. I think the feelings should be self-evident, but I’d be comfortable explaining more if anyone is curious.
    During these episodes of insecurity I often also am concerned of people being near/touching me just in case one of my flailing/punching tics hits them. It would be nice if something along those lines was mentioned, specifically the listener literally or verbally pushing the speaker away (probably near the beginning).
    To anyone who read this far; congratulations! Have a cookie for your efforts 🍪

    • @PineKatAudio
      @PineKatAudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You are always welcome to make requests, and this is a good idea for a topic! I try to keep the audios pretty broad so that the most amount of people are able to feel included in them. So I don’t know how specific I could be and have it still feel like it covers a lot of variations of tics that people have, but, I really appreciate these notes! This helps a lot and I can definitely do a comfort audio on this topic 💕

    Hey, I loved this. I'm blind, and I've seen your blind listener ASMRs. I was wondering if you could do one comforting a blind from birth listener that doesn't want a cure. I was bornb blind, and it's all I've ever known. It's a part of me, and I'm not ashamed of it. I hate hearing people say they feel sorry for me, or that they think I'll see one day. I'm happy the way I am, and I hate that I'm made to feel ashamed of my condition. Hope this is OK🥰
