    The formula for easy copy + paste!
    *EXPENSES (Put in B2 of your Main Dashboard)*
    =SUMIFS(Expenses!$D$1:$D, Expenses!$B$1:$B, ">="&$A2, Expenses!$B$1:$B, "="&$A2, Income!$B$1:$B, "

      hi!! google sheets has this really cool function that let's you type the formulas in english even if everything else is another language. then all i had to do was change income and expenses to the word i used in my language. hope this helped :)

      I think the problem is that the name in the code has to match the name of the sheet on google sheets. for example, if you named the income tab "money in", "income" it won't work, only "money in" would work.

    FOR EVERYONE GETTING THE ERROR MESSAGE, while copypaste the code.
    MAKE SURE THAT INSTEAD OF EVERY COMMA YOU PUT A SEMICOLON.
    MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHANGE THE WRITING "EXPENSES" WITH THE NAME OF YOUR OWN SHEET.

    my neurodivergent brain was going brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr for like 30 minutes watching this, and i mean that in the literal best way possible. i've been making my own income spreadsheets for things like summer jobs but i was trying to make a new one for income and expenses now that i'm in college but i could never make it look nice enough so i turned to youtube and im so glad i did. i was also pondering on a way to add photos of receipts but i really wasn't getting my hopes up about having that option integrated into my spreadsheet so when i got to the point where you added a question on the form for receipts, my jaw LITERALLY dropped and i went to start making my own system following along with the video. thank you so much for this omg

    I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your exceptional kindness and dedication. Your detailed explanations, user-friendly formulas that can be easily copied and pasted, and in-depth guidance on creating the spreadsheet have been invaluable to me. This is, without a doubt, the most remarkable spreadsheet I have ever come across! While I may not be an Excel expert, I have a basic understanding, and your video has provided immense help with the parts I struggle with. Words cannot adequately convey how appreciative I am for the time and effort you invested in creating this video. You have most certainly gained a devoted subscriber in me! Thank you sincerely for everything you have done!

    Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial! Definitely gonna be more conscious about my spendings. :')
    Just an idea for a future video: It'll be cool if you included a section on your savings and investments- basically anything that you can do with the money that doesn't belong to the income or expense sections. For example, after your gross savings, you have a column for say 10% of your gross savings that you put aside for investment purposes. Then another column after that with your final savings for the month/year. But don't forget the other income categories that come with this- interest, dividends, etc.

    I was having issues with the income formula but someone here said to rename it and change the Income on the formula so i changed it to "I" and the formula as well and it worked ! after that i just changed the name back to income and it kept the formula it just renamed itself
    thank you for the spreadsheet this will be very useful!!!!! i just wish i knew about this from the beginning of the year

    @debbbag would you recreate this each year or expand it to accommodate for ongoing input? I tried to make a copy of my last year but ran into the issue of the income and expense forms generating responses to the same place. I was hoping I didn't have to start from scratch again, I'm probably just not thinking hard enough but I was curious what you do for multiple years? Also, thank you for this building this, I've used it for most of last year and it really helps to show actual spending habits and where to make changes.

    Hey, that's one of the most useful budget trackers I have come across on youtube. Its super simple and easy to use and manage. Just 1 thing, I would like to point out here is that if there could be a way to manage your Credit cards through this tracker because you use the credit cards in a month and then you repay those from your next month's income and then again you can use the same credit card in the current month and so on. So basically, how do I manage the recurring payments? Please help me on this. Thanks a ton Deborah. You are the best!

    Is the formula not working for you? Check for spelling and typos! Make sure that the name of the tabs and the way you spell the categories is correct. I accidentally put a space when naming the ‘Income’ tab after the last -e. Obviously I didn’t do the same in the formula, and therefore it was giving me errors.

      I had the same issue on the Income Dashboard sheet where only the first category was showing blank and the other two were working. I found the issue was in the name/header, there was an extra space after the name but not on the form name. So the formula was looking for Category 1(space) instead of just Category 1. Once I took away the space it worked fine. Hopefully this made sense and helps!
