This was such a great show for so many reasons, a one of a kind. I remember watching these with my mom 😊and it became a staple at our house every week. She’s long since passed away, but I’m still watching it with her in spirit. All the later Cosby drama was so unfortunate, because it should never take away from how great this show was and the actors that gave it class.
@@brandonallen3808 Not really. I can still enjoy the show for the way it was written and how these actors made it feel like a family. But, it does always sour the overall legacy of show, which is sad. It was a classic.
Considering how well 'Night Time Is the Right Time' went over in the previous season, doing a follow up made sense, and I wouldn't be surprised given how much fun the cast had last time that they'd agree to do something like this again.
I have to admit I liked this one better. What alot of folks didn't know at the time was that it was the "Audition" Song for The Jackson Five in 1968 at Motown. I heard folks were stunned when they saw Michael perform and who could blame them. Now from what I heard Michael's Estate "Owns" The James Brown Catalogue.
His dad lived just walking distance from my house growing up. He was there signing autographs in 1987 when the Cosby Show was hot! Even though I liked his character, my true crush was the guy who played his friend, Cockroach. lol
AMEN!!!...classic tv at it all time best....The idea/concept is one the thing...the execution is very much another.....The choreography n rehearsal involved to bring this off flawlessly!!! KUDOS to all.
They only thing they didn't do is bring out the cape to put on Theo's back like they do with James. The girls had the juking and jiving moves of the band right on.
Also when James Brown was "Making His Bones" at The Apollo Theater in the 1950's, He Threw his Hanky to a Woman and she threw it back and he "knew" he had some work to do.
It was a time. You had to have been there. Damn shame what emerged about who Bill Cosby really was, but these memories are etched in time, in experiences, and will always be a part of us.
Cool thing is that there weren't that many comments about Bill Cosby (his issues), it may have been his name on the show but many others on the show contributed so much to entertaining everyone.
This is Black lives, Black Families and most importantly Black Love ❤️ This is who we are as a whole. Bill Cosby fan for life, and Michael Jackson and Mo’nique, Dave Chappell, Katt Williams and any Black artist 👨🎨 the industry has tried to destroy because they refuse to play by their standards and insisted on elevating our people to another level.. It is time for our people to go where we are appreciated and valued
@Gregory-of9lo Yessir. Our people. We are the real Americans the *copper colored* people 1828 Webster dictionary defines *American* as copper colored people. Dwight man is RELENTLESS is trying to destroy our people
All of the episodes were beautifully done and very much with taste, class and sophisticated performances. Never a disappointment! Miss this show, we could use some inspiration today l!
Theo KILLED it! LOL

The Greatest family show ever on television, hands down!!! Miss those days...it was all we talked about the next day in school 😅😅

Yo Theo and Rudy did the damn thing here 😂🤗🤭🤣💁🏽♀️
This had to be soooo much fun for the actors! Put a smile on my face.
Cosby ability to recognize talent and create roles were ahead of it times.
Theo and Rudy with that sweat rag is hilarious😂
I promise you James brown was cracking up when he seen this episode
I wouldn't blame him lol
Talent.
Lets bring talent back to television.
That was too cute...little Rudy!
I remember this! Nostalgic, indeed!

Do you find it hard to watch the show knowing the drama happened? Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

@@mduncan28 That's good to hear. Like I said sometimes I can overlook it sometimes I can't. Depends on how I feel and which episode is on too.
Exactly Right!
Don't think I ever realized how hard Theo killed this one. haha. He was all in.
Considering how well 'Night Time Is the Right Time' went over in the previous season, doing a follow up made sense, and I wouldn't be surprised given how much fun the cast had last time that they'd agree to do something like this again.
Yes. Too bad Phylicia didn't get to participate again. I think she was pregnant at that time, and she probably wasn't up to that kind of exercise :)
I'm from the UK and I grew up on the Cosby show, happy times
Me too!
One of my favorite shows. Absolutely love
Another classic Rudy killed it
A classic episode!
I dont have enough thumbs up to give this clip. Awesome performance.
When this take was filmed MJW's handkerchief was missing. It was an ad-lib for him to grab the one from Bill Cosby's jacket.
Now that you say that, you can see him looking for it 😂 love this fun fact
Lol that’s amazing
Brings smiles everytime
Rudy was so funny using the handkerchief!
Always one of my favorite scenes 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Absolutely love ❤️ those classic Cosbys... 🥰🥰🤣
Some of the best TV period
Ok they did that especially Theo and Rudy
Get it Rudy!😂😂😂😂
I still love this show.
No matter what you think of Bill Cosby, his show was the best one on TV at that time.
Because I lived overseas, i was glad my children could grow up with this family and general hospital ❤

I hope that's true.
And so began my childhood crush on Theo...

It doesn't matter what he did in his private life , this is gold !
Really
you can't stay mad at the Cos !
This can be gold and yes it still matters what he did in his private life
@@mlongpre100 Somehow I doubt it. Would you laugh in their shoes? This was about the kids, not him
💯 Dr Huxtable is a gem. bill Cosby served his time. Plus his sentence was reversed
I hope my son has children and do something like this for my birthday or anniversary. I would LOVE this hahaha
I got to give Bill props on this one ,he had to be ON Q to get them James Brown grunts on point for that song , and HE DELIVERED ,THEY ALL DID LOL.

Wonder if the real james brown saw this and what he thought of it?
He said yes and love what rudy did ❤❤❤❤
They only thing they didn't do is bring out the cape to put on Theo's back like they do with James. The girls had the juking and jiving moves of the band right on.
