The pundits all said that The Cosby Show would suffer a quick death. Within a month of its debut, it was #1, and remained near the top for its entire run. NBC quickly became the most watched network on TV as other shows tried family sitcoms (and many of them succeeded too). Saying that this show was big is an understatement; we were waiting for a show like this, and The Cosby Show delivered BIG.

I replied because they moved 300 miles away and only call us around holidays, never remember our birthdays and only show concern when we fail. My momma laughed and said she loved me.
