      My brother and I (lovingly) parodied it FOREVER, after we saw it. I remember being ten or eleven and for the first time, I almost cried from laughing.
      We still look on Keisha Knight Pulliam's "BABAAAAAY" as a particularly humorous moment in our childhood. This has to be my favorite #CosbyShow moment.

      Best musical gag of 80's television. I still wonder how many takes that required, seeing as IDK how, with Rudy's part, ANY of them kept a straight face! Not that Anna & Russell had to!

      Agree 100. This show was an integral part of my upbringing, and Cosby's personal life can't take that away. I am not the one to condemn a soul for what stains my conscience. I could spend an eternity in Hell for all my vices. TCS will always live on beyond Cosby as a man, that's how great it was and still is.

    This scene proves that The Cosby Show was more than just Bill Cosby's vehicle; every actor was essential to it's success and shouldn't have to suffer and have their legacies tarnished (and incomes lost) by the alleged crimes of Bill Cosby. The show should still be on in re-runs and be available on Netflix etc. There's a difference between Cliff Huxtable and Bill Cosby.

    • @tommyt1971

      +Jerome Holloman Cosby Show may not have addressed racism in a direct sense but they did have some subtler moments by having an international cast -- Rudy's friends were always from diff cultures, not just black.

      +tommyt1971 Thats where the cosby shows Spinoff A different World comes in. A different world has a lot more subject matter. They addressed racism in the "Cats in the Cradle", and "Pride and Prejudice." It was also the first show to talk about "AIDS", and they a fantastic job, talking about it.

      lolol...funny thing is that y'all people actually think bill did that shit, the "higher ups" did a great job of fooling the outsiders to turn against Cosby and did a phenomenonal job of tarnishing his legacy. If people just woke up and knew the behind the scenes crap that those people were cooking to destroy Bill. But that's the way of this world. smmfh

    • @e.michelle2424
      @e.michelle2424 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Christian Banks I am with you. Think about it: Bill was hardly the most handsome man out there, plus, even though he had a few films, he had nowhere near the success that would have made any of those women crawling to his hotel room. Quaaludes were the Ecstasy of today. Everyone had them and it wasn't a party without it. Had this been any other Black actor I would have believed it. But Bill Cosby? No one messes with a geeky comic unless there is some serious money involved...

    See this right here? This could not be duplicated on Broadway for any amount of money or with any talent. The feeling and choreography in this dance was too spontaneously real, so much of a true family affair. This whole scene was worthy of a Primetime Emmy all by itself...

      I remember this well. A month before The Cosby Show came on, NBC was solidly in third place among the three networks, and family-oriented sitcoms were dead. The pundits all said that The Cosby Show would suffer a quick death. Within a month of its debut, it was #1, and remained near the top for its entire run. NBC quickly became the most watched network on TV as other shows tried family sitcoms (and many of them succeeded too). Saying that this show was big is an understatement; we were waiting for a show like this, and The Cosby Show delivered BIG.

    This still makes me smile. I know, he has been accused of being a serial rapist, and I hear so many people saying that there are lots of women saying that he hurt them. If that happened, it is truly sad, but I don't think the man should be convicted because lots of people said he did something; that is NOT how our system of justice works.

    • @godofwine77
      @godofwine77 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Gillian Andersen Exactly. At least 3 women, including the first woman, has admitted that they lied. Shame they want to tarnish a man for a moment in the spotlight. Today people have even less shame than they did before. He still hasn't been convicted or charged. His show is still funny to this day, and I appreciate him giving the world a positive example of a Black family that did not exist to the mainstream in 1984 for people to appreciate even today

    • @Mascherina1964
      @Mascherina1964 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gillian Andersen I agree. What a shame, though! These allegations have ruined his legacy and the recent unsealing of the documents arising from his civil suit with Andrea Constan have further undermined his integrity and, indirectly, his work. We still don't know for sure if he committed these acts. If he did, what was he thinking? Did he not realize he was hurting so many people (ex. the women, his wife, his children) and his work. He'll be 78 soon and I suspect that we'll be hearing about his death in the near future (this has to be very stressful for him!) and, like Michael Jackson, we'll remember him not only for his work, but also and perhaps evern more so, for this scandal.

      +B Pray your comment make me want to cry. I thought about Michael Jackson and how he was accused and when he died look who was saying "oh it's so sad Michael is gone.....". I know bill is up in age it's a matter of time before he pass and I wonder what the media will say about him.

    • @Mascherina1964
      @Mascherina1964 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will be hard for the media, upon Bill Cosby's death, not to talk about the scandal, and I think it will be a long time before people will look at his achievements for what they are.
      What a way to end a career and to ruin a legacy! What was he thinking, the numbskull?
