      I love this dress, Tamara. Very feminine and ready for Spring. Definitely very happy with the boxes of gorgeous clothes and fun treats every month with the Virtual Doll Convention (VDC) subscription box from Rachel. She just spoils us.

    Tamara I like this dress better than the white February dress. The dress is one of my favorite colors, in facts I wore a sweater this color to PT this morning. The pleats are so flattering. You have such a gift for designing.Stay well and safe. From Tennessee

    Great pattern! My skills are rusty right now. I had to start again a couple three times. But I think it's working this time. LOL Getting those top portions just right is hard for me. I found stretching and rolling the fabric helpful. One I got my technique hammered in, I felt better.

    Tamara, I love that this pattern is so close in style to Grace's white dress in the February box! It'll be fun to see which of my "stash" fabrics will look the best! Thanks for another pretty pattern!🥰

    I love this dress. I made it for my Glamour Oz doll (I added a cuff to the sleeve and pushed up it as a 3/4 sleeve since her limbs are so long!) and she looks LOVELY! I always end up handsewing sleeve caps and princess seams but it went together really well! Loved the lining.

    Excellent as always ! Thanks for taking time to do this. I notice you chose not to stab yourself with the straight pins. I think I'll try that. I seem to assume that bloodletting is part of the process, but perhaps not!

      Oh how true. A little stab ensures the perfect project every time. :)

    I've noticed that you went back to your older sewing machine. Any reason why?

    • @DesignsbyJude
      @DesignsbyJude  ปีที่แล้ว

      Up to now I only had space to have one machine out at a time. Yesterday I found a way to get them both set up and have been sewing with the new one for a current pattern I am working on for the Smart Dolls. I forgot how much I enjoyed the needle threading and cut feature on the newer machine. :)

    I think it's really unfortunate that you're finishing these designs using snaps instead of zippers. Zippers finish a dress off so nicely with the perfect fit and clean look.
    I'm wondering if the reason might have something to do with the fear of "sewing zippers?"
    If so, that is just silly, as you have proven repeatedly in your videos.
    Not to mention snaps look awful and just ruin all your good work! 😔

    • @DesignsbyJude
      @DesignsbyJude  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for your comment. I agree that zippers do make the best finish. The dress could easily be made with a zipper by adding 1/4" to each back opening. Anyone can learn to install a zipper well with a little practice.

      @Designs by Jude Hi there. Thanks for your quick reply! I'm always so impressed and grateful that you take the time to both read and reply to my comments. Well I imagine everyone's comments!
      I know only too well how easy it is to install a zipper, I learned it from watching your videos! So thank you for that.
      I had found it somewhat tricky...to say the least!
      You can read and reread instructions on sewing but the truth is there is nothing like having someone show you how to actually do it, and while you're not quite here with me your videos are a pretty good second!❤️❤️

      @@examplelife1567 Even after sewing for years, I am constantly learning new and easier ways to accomplish the same results. I am a visual learner and seeing the steps sinks in much more quickly for me.
