So excited! This comic inspired me to start learning sign language, I'm still learning but yesterday I actually had a very basic conversation with a deaf person :D
This made me sob, We all have our own challenges, for me personally I have one arm, ive been like this my whole life, born without one. throughout my childhood i was taught and taught myself to do many things, like play Xbox with my foot, and work with my dad on the ranch, some people would call this a “birth defect” but personally i view it as a special uniqueness and a fun challenge sometimes, for example if i see a closed waterbottle i could open it in so many different ways people with two arms may not even think about, maybe using my teeth to unscrew the cap by clamping down on it and twist with my hand, or just holding the bottle between my thighs and opening it with my hand. I refuse to get a prosthetic arm because it would take away that fun challenge aspect of life. We all learn to overcome or adapt to our differences and thats what makes you and me and every single person out there special! Embrace what makes you different
