Trauma is forgotten so easily, my best guess is that it will claw its way out or it will literally just rematerialize when Riley is faced with something that reminds her of the accident
My guess is that if Riley gets triggered, Trauma will pop out of the stains and puddles she left behind on the Emotions and HQ. Or something along those lines. I mean she arrived via Memory Tube so who knows what else she can do?
genuinely loving this take on trauma "I protect her from the things that she's already seen, and I'll protect her from all of you" seems VERY FITTING also fantastic work, i know this stuff has GOTTA be hard to draw
It IS hard to draw but its SO fun! To see the fruits of my labor come together so beautifully after days of agony. Its SO worth it~ And thank you! Trauma was very hard to script for, I went through 5 rewrites.

It's sorta of something that people would call: "romanticizing problems that are more complex than what people think" but I'm not that smart on the subject to understand since I did go through some trauma in my personal life but I can't remember that much of what happened before

The fact that she's so obviously the villain, but yet, even still, wants to protect Riley just like everyone else does! Such a complex character that reflects trauma well. Trauma isn't meant to hurt you. It's your brains way of protection. But all it does is force you to never forget.
EXACTLY!! Trauma is a lot like Anxiety in a way, trying to protect Riley in its own morbid way, but Trauma takes it to the extreme as a defense mechanism. But Trauma loves RIley just like anyone else. She's just....scared ;;

From the beginning, I knew that Fear would be the one to save his friends. Of course, he didn’t do it alone-he had help. When the mysterious Riley embraced Fear, we expected a kind and gentle presence. But what we encountered was far more sinister: an entity with plans to take over headquarters. When it promised Fear that it would "take care of his job," it shattered him. Yet, in the end, Fear wasn’t paralyzed by fear as usual. He found the courage to stand up and fight back. He had cowered at first, unsure and overwhelmed, but he soon realized that he had to fight-not just for himself, but for his friends and for Riley. It was a moment of true bravery, showing that even the most fearful can rise when it matters most. And Lastly, for some reason, when the entity appeared as an ink-like slime, I almost thought it might take Fear as its host, like Venom. It was a strange thought that crossed my mind when it embraced him.
I've seen far too many infection and corruption AUs with Inside Out, so I wanted to take a different angle with what Trauma DOES to our brain and emotions. Thank you by the way for this brilliantly written analysis comment!

I like the fact that Trauma hugged Fear. Not Anxiety, not Sadness, but Fear, because HE was the one who created her. Or maybe this is exactly what Fear needed at the time of the accident - for someone to hug him and calm him down (I don't blame other emotions). I also noticed that when Fear cries and repeats, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I failed," Trauma is getting stronger, so maybe she's directly dependent on Fear. OMG I JUST NOTICED!!! At 6:27 When Trauma attacks Anxiety, her words are colored in Fear's color.❤❤❤
Oh I didn't notice! Those are cool details! So maybe until Fear accepts he failed and until he gets over with what happened, Triley won't be defeated! (Well you can't actually defeat or eliminate trauma but you can make it weak I guess)

It seems strange that Trauma is able to reflect the other emotions a little, like Embarrassment and Ennui but others she just acknowledges and moves on.
Trauma has a certain feeling towards each emotion, I will flesh more of this out later, but honestly Trauma was just trying to properly greet the Emotions.
I love the design for Triley, she starts out like some kind of genuinely sweet character, her expression is similar to that of an unstable fluid trying to take shape, so she FORCES an expression to communicate, and then reveals her true form, a monstrous abomination similar to Riley but mutated from her subconscious fear of the truck that nearly took her life, glowing yellow like the truck lights she saw before everything went *black* And another thing, seeing both parties being so determined to be good, and yet screwing up such a crucial detail is so heartbreaking All of them are right, but they're wrong in how they're doing it Triley is right, Riley does need her, she needs Trauma to help her work through PAST bad experiences, like an endlessly helpful therapist Trauma helps with the past Fear with the present Anxiety with the future But they're burying trauma, which never works, because trauma always comes back and it only gets more painful when it inevitably does I really hope this was the intention, otherwise this is just a detail I pulled out my luscious rear end But seriously, I really LOVED this part, and I especially loved Triley just stepping over Anger like he wasn't even there
This WAS the intention, exactly! This is the beginning of the story where the Emotions think they are ALL doing right by Riley by uniting against Trauma, supressing it, but they WILL learn that is NOT how you deal with Trauma! Thank you so much, I loved working on this part!

My theory is that he lost since his rage wasn’t FLAMING! In the first one, we saw that anger’s flames isolated him from it, since it grabbed him by the legs. But now, anger was just sizzling, so we may have someone who could be able to suppress Triley???
I find it amazing how you manage to juggle all of the emotions so well. Having 9 (10 with Triley) characters in a single scene, it can make it easy to just relegate a few to the background, but you manage to give everyone little moments here and there. It feels really organic, and I love it. Also, love how Triley mirrored Anxiety's desciption of her and Fear's jobs. Fear is the present, Anxiety is the future, Trauma is the past. Except, the past can't pose an active threat to you anymore. Any valuable lessons that can be learnt from past dangers is done with fearful or anxious memories, not trauma. Love the spotlight you're giving Fear, and eagerly await part 4! (no pressure)
I grew up as a HUGE fan of group stories like Digimon Adventure with big teams, and I also used to write a My Little Pony comic (dont ask lol) and I had to balance a lot of characters there too. I HATE seeing characters get sidelined while some have SO much spotlight, I do my best to give EVERYONE a say/key moment. And thank you! Writing for Triley can be very hard but its also fun to explore what trauma DOES to our memories and how we carry ourselves from it.
God this must’ve been so hard to make but it’s GOOD I love the symbolism of the headlight eyes, and even just how you animated and drew the movement of trauma here, you COOKED, take a well deserved break you’ve definitely spoiled us
This was the hardest thing I have ever made in my life : D And thank you!! The headlight eyes were very fun to toy with since Kingdom Hearts was a huge inspiration for this story, and the yellow eyes kinda look like the Heartless ;) Thank you so much for such praise ^^
I love that her eyes look like the headlights from the car, also she seems to hold her shape poorly when she’s not emotional but when she talks to joy it seems to focus her enough she looks more like Riley
I like how Trauma/Trylie mimics each of the emotions when you meet them, except for Disgust, Anxiety, and Anger, apparently getting angry with the first one, she greets Anxiety but then ignores it, and with Anger she seems to want to get along but then gets discouraged.
I'm so blown away, you're an amazing writer! Everything about Triley's character is perfect, the weird way she moves, the shards of the shattered memory in her leg looking like the broken glass from a car accident, the way she still wants to protect Riley- but unlike Anxiety, it's clearly in a completely destructive way with no positives. She's exactly what a VILLAINOUS emotion would look and behave like in one of these movies.

Trauma is not us, as the emotions so amazingly say, but they do take over us. Look like us. Pretend to be us so our other emotions will fall for it. And the fact that her eyes are the same as the headlights on the car....AMAZING. I love how harmless she looks at first. Small and little. Just another Riley. Until the emotions let her in. Then she becomes huge and monsterous.

I didn't expect it to come so soon, you're a machine! Honestly, I was hoping you'd take it slower, but you've pleasantly surprised me by making things straight to the point, making it clear that Trauma isn´t an Emotion and that she's here to REMAKE Riley, even if she has to suppress the other emotions against their will or get rid of everything she thinks makes Riley "weak". Luckily the emotions have managed to stop Trauma from suppressing all of them, and they've managed to suppress Trauma for now, but we all know that the only way to get over trauma is to confront it, and I mean a gentle confrontation, something violent only makes you lose control of yourself, but it seems that Trauma and Riley aren't ready for that yet, so I guess it's okay for now, at least until Trauma learns not to be so violent lol. I liked Trauma, making it clear from the beginning that she has nothing against any of them personally (If anything, she felt bad for Fear because she knew he felt bad for technically failing at his job (Not his fault in my opinion)), but she has a job to do, and she's willing to do anything to complete it even if it means hurting herself, Riley, and everyone else. All of this seemed to me to be a mix of a metaphor about how to not let Trauma define us and suppress our entire identity in order to create a false sense of security and control and how Trauma completely changes your psyche almost turning you into a different person by breaking the control panel (But being the same person, Riley could still feel from the broken pieces of the panel), but at the same time each character being their own person and enjoying a story with these characters. I admit that I have no idea what's going to happen in the future, but I know I'm going to love it (^///^) Thanks for doing this even in difficult times, always remember to prioritize your life and health first, have a good day

Art is my happy place, I just LOVE to create! And I have more ideas in mind for this story~ Im glad you caught all the metaphors and symbols I tried to depict with Trauma!

This is honesty one of the best Dan made Inside Out side stories ever. You captured every character so well and what they’d do in this type of situation. Having an Inside Out 3 with Riley going this any traumatic event leaving only Trauma, Fear, and Ennui to run headquarters sounds like an interesting concept.

Comment spam section 1--Triley and how great she is--part 3. 10:09 I LOVE this frame so much. Not just because it's inredibly well drawn, which it is, but also how much the line packs a punch. "I AM RILEY NOW." It shows how easy it is to let our trauma take over...to let it become us, to let it make us do things we wouldn't normally do.
Hehe, I admit- it was also slightly a reference to my favorite line from one of my favorite horrors, The Babadook. "YOU ARENT MY MOTHER" "I AAAAAM YOUR MOTHER!!!!" I figured it would be perfect for Trauma since it DOES try to take over our identities.
i love how genuinely self-destructive riley's trauma is, though i can't help but feel like the only reason the gang "wins" this one is because they manage to repress riley's trauma before it can repress all of riley's emotions for her. keeping in tune with the themes of the movies, maybe... maybe one day, trauma will finally calm down enough that riley's emotions (and by extension, riley herself) can come to terms with it and they can all move on from it while never really forgetting.
Trauma can be a problem child of the mind, VERY hard to cope with and control- but perhaps with the right “coping mechanism” ;) Riley will find a way to overcome this

And I love that Triley isn't just supressing it, she's KEEPING it. Just like with actual trauma. Keeping it hidden until anything scary happens. Anything similiar to the bad memory. Very clever!

I love that you managed to keep the emotions’ personalities!! Your art style is so goofy and great when it needs to be! I love how you managed to make feel like something that would be official! It has the same idea as the inside out analog horror but it’s just more funny has so much more character other than the characters just not doing anything important and just living in a zombie apocalypse thing

I just got this in my recommended, and I have got to say, the way that you draw the characters, THE ACTION POSES, as well as keeping so true to their character ceases to amaze me, the story telling, the choice of music, your take on trauma and how it might look like, man this is so beautiful, I had to comment because I never felt so excited to see something in a while, well done, I love your work.
Well, this was certainly a very well-done storyboard. Trauma made for a very haunting enemy, all things considered, but also a very relatable one. After all, we've all had wounds, physical, mental, and emotional, that can end up controlling our lives if we aren't careful. Riley's Emotions have put up a valiant defense of her from Trauma, though not without sacrifice(RIP Pouchy), but I suspect that Triley is not yet done. We still have a lot to do from here on out before we finally make peace with that horrible night, since that is really the only way to handle Trauma. Thankfully, Riley has her emotions, her family, and her friends to help her through it. Speaking of which, will we be getting the Firehawks at some point in this story? Here's hoping Val stops by at some point to wish Riley well and cheer her up.

Okay, first of all, you managed to make the 'emotion' of trauma feel like some sort of eldritch demigod, which is fitting, and second, considering what trauma is, I get the feeling that all that black goo Triley left everywhere is gonna be a way for her to remanifest.
Boy do I love this series! The plot, the art, THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS! The main thing I look at in any movie or artwork is the facial expressions, and these do not disappoint! I can practically hear the voices in my head. I love these! Phenomenal job! However long it takes, it'll be worth waiting for the next instalment. Also, poor Pouchy!
Poor Pouchy indeed but I can assure you this isnt the end for him or Triley ;) And I adore doing facial expressions, they are the most fun part of the process IMO cuz body posing can be very tricky for these unique variety of designs due to their shapes. Thank you so much, you honor me ^^

Ennui wasted no time getting her revenge on Anger lmao. How strong is that jar? Wouldn't it just shatter as soon as it hits the bottom? Whatever happens, they 100% aren't getting rid of Trauma that easily. You definitely deserve a break, 1000+ drawings in under 100 days is insanity. You know honestly I really loved how their team works, pretty much being a different emotions, but always worked together like making them unstoppable. Plus I really loved their facial expressions.
This was yet another masterpiece in a trilogy of masterpieces (Yes, I know there’s more, but 3 still equals a trilogy!). The only reason I can’t see this working in an actual movie is because your hand-drawn style is way better. The Inside Out Movies are already beautiful, but the highly-detailed expressions you’ve been displaying peaked in this one. I hope you have a good break!

I love this story. This is so good I can’t even consider this a storyboard or concept, but a mini series. Trauma is like venom from spider man. They should hire you because this is single-handedly better than lots of Disney movies, even though they hire professionals. Next part you should have the triple dent gum in it somehow lol.
....You just made me realize I didnt get to put Triple Dent Gum anywhere in this part and that makes me sad lol The Heartless from Kingdom Hearts were a prime inspiration for Triley, but I can see the Venom references lol

Man, I AGONIZED for DAYS about Triley's line of dialogue here explaining who she is and what her motives are. Im so glad I picked the right phrasing! And that pose was SUPER fun to draw, I love drawing the more wild frames

Destroys the console, preventing any other emotion to fight back. Preventing anything at all. Corrupting memories. Breaking everything in sight. All showing how much Trauma can destroy you, and in another situation, even cause a psychotic break. I love the cutbacks to Riley as she destroys things. Subtely showing Riley's sheer terror.
Destroying the manuals was a way to show that Trauma F's up how you think about things and process life moving forward, and destroying everything so that its "still there" but it will NEVER be the same. And I only wanted to cut to RIley and not her parents cuz I do NOT want to draw them again lol they were way too hard.
Oooooh I _love_ the way that Trauma/Triley and all of her goopy residues are a darker more complete/filled in black than even the darkest parts of the other emotions!! It invokes a feeling that if this character was animated in the film style, she would be smooth/liquid like oil or something while the other emotions still have their fuzzy/particle look. Also I really like the music choices in this one? Particularly the song playing when Trauma starts breaking the controls. All and all another great part!! I’m so glad I randomly got Part 1 in my recommendations… I have been subscribed ever since!! (Hope all is well with you, considering the hurricane updates and everything)

Dude, at first I thought Triley was just another Emotion that just appeared, but its just a Whole Mass of Traumas And damn... even I thought that Riley outside would just have an Empty Look in her eyes in a moment, like a Liveless Puppet with no Strings Phew... but this AU here, was amazing to see, all the scenes, each Drawn Frame you literally said that probably killed all your Markers and Pens, and how this story went to the very end And now, you deserve that rest Bats, see you in a bright future for more cooking with this AU of Inside-Out!

That was crazy!! That trauma was nice at first, But it turned out that trauma was bad, and.... very creepy!!! Also it liked Ennui! (I'm so jealous of Her) (First Ennui's fate in that trauma, then it Befriended it, and now she and all the others got rid of it)

2:25 Considering that Trauma has broken glass in her leg here, I feel like the crash caused a significant amount of damage to her legs… Riley likely had to get surgery to get her fixed up from the crash, especially to get all the glass out of her legs. The way Trauma or Triley also splats around, like a creature made of ink, could also represent what normally happens to a person when they get hit by a truck at high speeds. Splat. Additionally, after the events of the storyboard, this likely foreshadows that Trauma will be back *very soon* to wreak havoc on the other Emotions and on Riley. After all, Riley does play ice hockey… lots of bright, light luminous indoor lights… and a ton of moving your legs. Trauma is going to have a “field day” with that.
Oh yeah nah sadly Riley is in a sport that involves a lot of crashing into people, bright lights…and penalty/goal horns that blare. She’s gonna have a LOT to overcome. And yes, Riley’s leg was fractured in the accident (as noted in part 2) and Triley’s glass in the leg mimics the pain

I finally had time to watch the whole thing before commenting. Holy crud muffins, it’s great! :D I love how you portrayed trauma with her head tilts, and movements along with the black ink substance. Idk if you did this on purpose but I notice trauma’s eyes look like the headlights of the truck that hit Riley. I love the build up with how Triley was kind of creepy to full blown ravaging the head quarters. The artwork is spectacular, you got such dynamic poses with the characters and you kept the characters looking like the actual characters! The consistency is crazy! Poor Pouchy, got volunte-told to sacrifice himself for the greater good XD I love the dynamics and chemistry (not romantic chemistry) between the characters. It feels so believable and fun Thank you so much for working on this project, it’s been a blast watching it through

Ok, I love the low five that Ennui and Envy had Because Envy can't reach for a high one 😂 ...ok, Trauma does _not_ like Disgust. In a way, she seems to almost... copy the other enotions. Strange. Ok yeah, now I see where she's going towards. Oh goodness... But wow! I did not expect fully fledged fight scenes here! Very good work! "Trauma builds character" yep, there's the unhealthy coping mechanism. Yo, this ending bit is going swell- NOT POUCHY 😂😂😂😂 This might've helped things for now, but... bottled up trauma? It represents the damage that trauma can do to the brain, having broken the console, representing dulling of emotions, and tore up the manuals, representing how it forces rash decisions without using rational thought first. Like when you die, your brain searches your life to find an answer to this whole new thing happening. For seven minutes.

It's sorta of something that people would call: "romanticizing problems that are more complex than what people think" but I'm not that smart on the subject to understand since I did go through some trauma in my personal life but I can't remember that much of what happened before

I LOVE trauma's character. The fact that she's so obviously the villain, but yet, even still, wants to protect Riley just like everyone else does! Such a complex character that reflects trauma well. Trauma isn't meant to hurt you. It's your brains way of protection. But all it does is force you to never forget.

From the beginning, I knew that Fear would be the one to save his friends. Of course, he didn’t do it alone-he had help. When the mysterious Riley embraced Fear, we expected a kind and gentle presence. But what we encountered was far more sinister: an entity with plans to take over headquarters. When it promised Fear that it would "take care of his job," it shattered him.
Yet, in the end, Fear wasn’t paralyzed by fear as usual. He found the courage to stand up and fight back. He had cowered at first, unsure and overwhelmed, but he soon realized that he had to fight-not just for himself, but for his friends and for Riley. It was a moment of true bravery, showing that even the most fearful can rise when it matters most. And Lastly, for some reason, when the entity appeared as an ink-like slime, I almost thought it might take Fear as its host, like Venom. It was a strange thought that crossed my mind when it embraced him.
I've seen far too many infection and corruption AUs with Inside Out, so I wanted to take a different angle with what Trauma DOES to our brain and emotions. Thank you by the way for this brilliantly written analysis comment!

I like the fact that Trauma hugged Fear. Not Anxiety, not Sadness, but Fear, because HE was the one who created her. Or maybe this is exactly what Fear needed at the time of the accident - for someone to hug him and calm him down (I don't blame other emotions). I also noticed that when Fear cries and repeats, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I failed," Trauma is getting stronger, so maybe she's directly dependent on Fear.

It seems strange that Trauma is able to reflect the other emotions a little, like Embarrassment and Ennui but others she just acknowledges and moves on.
Trauma has a certain feeling towards each emotion, I will flesh more of this out later, but honestly Trauma was just trying to properly greet the Emotions.
I thought it was because of a trauma response called mirroring
I love the design for Triley, she starts out like some kind of genuinely sweet character, her expression is similar to that of an unstable fluid trying to take shape, so she FORCES an expression to communicate, and then reveals her true form, a monstrous abomination similar to Riley but mutated from her subconscious fear of the truck that nearly took her life, glowing yellow like the truck lights she saw before everything went *black*
And another thing, seeing both parties being so determined to be good, and yet screwing up such a crucial detail is so heartbreaking
All of them are right, but they're wrong in how they're doing it
Triley is right, Riley does need her, she needs Trauma to help her work through PAST bad experiences, like an endlessly helpful therapist
Trauma helps with the past
Fear with the present
Anxiety with the future
But they're burying trauma, which never works, because trauma always comes back and it only gets more painful when it inevitably does
I really hope this was the intention, otherwise this is just a detail I pulled out my luscious rear end
But seriously, I really LOVED this part, and I especially loved Triley just stepping over Anger like he wasn't even there
This WAS the intention, exactly! This is the beginning of the story where the Emotions think they are ALL doing right by Riley by uniting against Trauma, supressing it, but they WILL learn that is NOT how you deal with Trauma!

I find it amazing how you manage to juggle all of the emotions so well. Having 9 (10 with Triley) characters in a single scene, it can make it easy to just relegate a few to the background, but you manage to give everyone little moments here and there. It feels really organic, and I love it.
Also, love how Triley mirrored Anxiety's desciption of her and Fear's jobs. Fear is the present, Anxiety is the future, Trauma is the past. Except, the past can't pose an active threat to you anymore. Any valuable lessons that can be learnt from past dangers is done with fearful or anxious memories, not trauma. Love the spotlight you're giving Fear, and eagerly await part 4! (no pressure)
I grew up as a HUGE fan of group stories like Digimon Adventure with big teams, and I also used to write a My Little Pony comic (dont ask lol) and I had to balance a lot of characters there too. I HATE seeing characters get sidelined while some have SO much spotlight, I do my best to give EVERYONE a say/key moment.
And thank you! Writing for Triley can be very hard but its also fun to explore what trauma DOES to our memories and how we carry ourselves from it.

I like how Trauma/Trylie mimics each of the emotions when you meet them, except for Disgust, Anxiety, and Anger, apparently getting angry with the first one, she greets Anxiety but then ignores it, and with Anger she seems to want to get along but then gets discouraged.
I'm not sure glaring at Disgust meant, expect to say it's to hint at her true unforgiving nature.
I'm so blown away, you're an amazing writer! Everything about Triley's character is perfect, the weird way she moves, the shards of the shattered memory in her leg looking like the broken glass from a car accident, the way she still wants to protect Riley- but unlike Anxiety, it's clearly in a completely destructive way with no positives. She's exactly what a VILLAINOUS emotion would look and behave like in one of these movies.

Trauma's character design is also so clever! I love the fact that it shows that trauma is a darker version of ourselves. Trauma is not us, as the emotions so amazingly say, but they do take over us. Look like us. Pretend to be us so our other emotions will fall for it.

Honestly, I was hoping you'd take it slower, but you've pleasantly surprised me by making things straight to the point, making it clear that Trauma isn´t an Emotion and that she's here to REMAKE Riley, even if she has to suppress the other emotions against their will or get rid of everything she thinks makes Riley "weak".
Luckily the emotions have managed to stop Trauma from suppressing all of them, and they've managed to suppress Trauma for now, but we all know that the only way to get over trauma is to confront it, and I mean a gentle confrontation, something violent only makes you lose control of yourself, but it seems that Trauma and Riley aren't ready for that yet, so I guess it's okay for now, at least until Trauma learns not to be so violent lol.
I liked Trauma, making it clear from the beginning that she has nothing against any of them personally (If anything, she felt bad for Fear because she knew he felt bad for technically failing at his job (Not his fault in my opinion)), but she has a job to do, and she's willing to do anything to complete it even if it means hurting herself, Riley, and everyone else.
All of this seemed to me to be a mix of a metaphor about how to not let Trauma define us and suppress our entire identity in order to create a false sense of security and control and how Trauma completely changes your psyche almost turning you into a different person by breaking the control panel (But being the same person, Riley could still feel from the broken pieces of the panel), but at the same time each character being their own person and enjoying a story with these characters.
I admit that I have no idea what's going to happen in the future, but I know I'm going to love it (^///^)

Art is my happy place, I just LOVE to create! And I have more ideas in mind for this story~ Im glad you caught all the metaphors and symbols I tried to depict with Trauma!

This is honesty one of the best Dan made Inside Out side stories ever. You captured every character so well and what they’d do in this type of situation. Having an Inside Out 3 with Riley going this any traumatic event leaving only Trauma, Fear, and Ennui to run headquarters sounds like an interesting concept.
Im so grateful people are considering this project to be Inside Out 3 and people see how much I love to have these characters interact properly! Thank you ^^

The dripping was more to show how "unstable" her form is but yes, it does leak and stain on things where its not wanted.

i love how genuinely self-destructive riley's trauma is, though i can't help but feel like the only reason the gang "wins" this one is because they manage to repress riley's trauma before it can repress all of riley's emotions for her. keeping in tune with the themes of the movies, maybe... maybe one day, trauma will finally calm down enough that riley's emotions (and by extension, riley herself) can come to terms with it and they can all move on from it while never really forgetting.
Trauma can be a problem child of the mind, VERY hard to cope with and control- but perhaps with the right “coping mechanism” ;) Riley will find a way to overcome this

I just got this in my recommended, and I have got to say, the way that you draw the characters, THE ACTION POSES, as well as keeping so true to their character ceases to amaze me, the story telling, the choice of music, your take on trauma and how it might look like, man this is so beautiful, I had to comment because I never felt so excited to see something in a while, well done, I love your work.

Well, this was certainly a very well-done storyboard. Trauma made for a very haunting enemy, all things considered, but also a very relatable one. After all, we've all had wounds, physical, mental, and emotional, that can end up controlling our lives if we aren't careful.
Riley's Emotions have put up a valiant defense of her from Trauma, though not without sacrifice(RIP Pouchy), but I suspect that Triley is not yet done. We still have a lot to do from here on out before we finally make peace with that horrible night, since that is really the only way to handle Trauma. Thankfully, Riley has her emotions, her family, and her friends to help her through it.
Speaking of which, will we be getting the Firehawks at some point in this story? Here's hoping Val stops by at some point to wish Riley well and cheer her up.
The Firehawks, Bree and Grace and possibly someone else WILL show up in this story. I want to show what the right support can do to fight against our traumas. Thank you so much for the praise!

Boy do I love this series! The plot, the art, THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS! The main thing I look at in any movie or artwork is the facial expressions, and these do not disappoint! I can practically hear the voices in my head. I love these! Phenomenal job! However long it takes, it'll be worth waiting for the next instalment.

You know honestly I really loved how their team works, pretty much being a different emotions, but always worked together like making them unstoppable. Plus I really loved their facial expressions.
This was yet another masterpiece in a trilogy of masterpieces (Yes, I know there’s more, but 3 still equals a trilogy!).
The only reason I can’t see this working in an actual movie is because your hand-drawn style is way better. The Inside Out Movies are already beautiful, but the highly-detailed expressions you’ve been displaying peaked in this one. I hope you have a good break!

I love this story. This is so good I can’t even consider this a storyboard or concept, but a mini series. Trauma is like venom from spider man. They should hire you because this is single-handedly better than lots of Disney movies, even though they hire professionals. Next part you should have the triple dent gum in it somehow lol.

Did I mention how much I love that she literally, literally, destroys Riley's mind. Destroys the console, preventing any other emotion to fight back. Preventing anything at all. Corrupting memories. Breaking everything in sight. All showing how much Trauma can destroy you, and in another situation, even cause a psychotic break.
I love the cutbacks to Riley as she destroys things. Subtely showing Riley's sheer terror.
Destroying the manuals was a way to show that Trauma F's up how you think about things and process life moving forward, and destroying everything so that its "still there" but it will NEVER be the same. And I only wanted to cut to RIley and not her parents cuz I do NOT want to draw them again lol they were way too hard.

Oooooh I _love_ the way that Trauma/Triley and all of her goopy residues are a darker more complete/filled in black than even the darkest parts of the other emotions!! It invokes a feeling that if this character was animated in the film style, she would be smooth/liquid like oil or something while the other emotions still have their fuzzy/particle look. Also I really like the music choices in this one? Particularly the song playing when Trauma starts breaking the controls. All and all another great part!! I’m so glad I randomly got Part 1 in my recommendations… I have been subscribed ever since!! (Hope all is well with you, considering the hurricane updates and everything)

2:25 Considering that Trauma has broken glass in her leg here, I feel like the crash caused a significant amount of damage to her legs… Riley likely had to get surgery to get her fixed up from the crash, especially to get all the glass out of her legs. The way Trauma or Triley also splats around, like a creature made of ink, could also represent what normally happens to a person when they get hit by a truck at high speeds. Splat.
Additionally, after the events of the storyboard, this likely foreshadows that Trauma will be back *very soon* to wreak havoc on the other Emotions and on Riley. After all, Riley does play ice hockey… lots of bright, light luminous indoor lights… and a ton of moving your legs. Trauma is going to have a “field day” with that.
Oh yeah nah sadly Riley is in a sport that involves a lot of crashing into people, bright lights…and penalty/goal horns that blare. She’s gonna have a LOT to overcome. And yes, Riley’s leg was fractured in the accident (as noted in part 2) and Triley’s glass in the leg mimics the pain

I love how you portrayed trauma with her head tilts, and movements along with the black ink substance. Idk if you did this on purpose but I notice trauma’s eyes look like the headlights of the truck that hit Riley.
I love the build up with how Triley was kind of creepy to full blown ravaging the head quarters.
The artwork is spectacular, you got such dynamic poses with the characters and you kept the characters looking like the actual characters! The consistency is crazy!

Trust me, I had an entire BATTLE planned but I ran out of time ;; Some things I was gonna do were things like Anger's fists clashing with Trauma in a barrage, Envy landing on Triley's head to try and pull her hair, and Embarrassment straight up SUPLEXING Trauma but I simply had no time!
And yes RIP pouchy but I assure you this isnt the last you've seen of Triley....or Pouchy XD

It represents the damage that trauma can do to the brain, having broken the console, representing dulling of emotions, and tore up the manuals, representing how it forces rash decisions without using rational thought first. Like when you die, your brain searches your life to find an answer to this whole new thing happening. For seven minutes.
