Koffi is lovely! He has such a wonderful demeanour & didn’t hesitate to pick up the cost of the party costs. This is a great experience that I’m sure he will remember ❤
The extra cost was small for him. The idea of the shopping was to teach him how to budget. Every episode has the rich kid do some shopping and some cooking for the family. Kofe is lovely though and pitches in with no complaints.

I hate that they made him do everything,was he the maid for the weekend?They could have helped him go through some of the challenges lile baking,you cant expect every poor person to know how to bake let alone a rich kid🙄.Its like they just wamted to make his weekend as horrible as possible and he pulled through ❤with a smile on his face

Beautiful soul, why wouldn't they treat him better. I'd probably do something he enjoys but also show him beauty, color, texture can be found in art. No one should make him clean because of their bitterness in what he represents to them. 🤨🙄
Ya know I have to keep reminding myself the premise of this show. However sometimes the things that come out of the mouths of some of the "skint" adults mouths just floor me!!! Like come on people yes these kids are very privileged, however they had no more choice being born into their family than you did!!!

I think there were too many dynamics diluting the message that was intended...but Kofi was a trooper...i appreciated that he was respectful through it all.

I agree. He stays home to look after their youngest but he could work a part time evening job or they could find daycare for their youngest. Both my husband and I worked full time when our kids were young. I taught which required lots of evening work planning lessons and marking assignments after my children were in bed.
I think parenting is more important!!! Later they will both work.

There is a show! It's called "Rich House Poor House", and the entire family swaps, sometimes pets and all. That actually brought me here lol. And contrary to what most people expect, the children are NOT traumatized on either side 😂. Good watch it you can find it ✌️
I don't think the point is to shame anyone, rich or not, but to appreciate what you have.
IMHO a life without purpose and usefulness is shallow.
Yeah I don’t think it’s about making him feel bad about being rich but think about his spending habits and about how hard it is for others. Many rich people think poor people are just lazy and bad with money but they don’t know what it’s really like, so here they get an impression of that and get numbers to compare it to

This was a weird family. The kids didn’t even him hug him when he left. The parents seemed jealous and petty. They made him work like a servant. Just a weird episode.
This is really disturbing to watch. What I noticed is: The Wife is giving off an Extreme level of Envy. She is extremely invasive when it comes to asking him about his spending habits. Her attempt to make him feel guilty for living/enjoying a lifestyle his parents have gifted him is disturbing to say the least. They (the family) have 3 children, knowing with each child (new mouth to feed) their income would further be impacted & will in turn affect their lifestyle. He is a Well rounded young man 💎 Good job Koffi 💝 By the way that Man speaking of teaching to Man up, try going out, getting a Job & providing for your children AS A MAN then talk teaching/guiding a Young Man in any direction. THE NERVE/AUDACITY! 2 incomes are always better than 1....

I noticed that too. When he said he went shopping most of the time but not all week. They accelerated his weekly shopping spending from at most $3,200 to say he spends $7,000 weekly on shopping. He said 1 times weekly on spa and they wanted to make it two times. No matter, they increased the amounts.
I've never been rich either. And struggle a lot. I wouldn't been envious of this kid.
She mentioned that she gets her nails done every 3 months or so. I’m middle class and I have NEVER paid to get my nails done. Instead of treating herself to that she could use the money to treat her whole family to something or use it to pay off more of their debts. 30 pounds is a lot of money when you’re poor.
@@lauriewu-jf5nh You right. I remember not doing anything for myself when I turned 18 and went off to college and to places for internships. My mom had just died and I had 7 younger brothers, I sent my dad money to help. And I didn't go on any ride the entire internship at Six Flags Over Texas. At end of it, I sent for all my younger brothers and gave them a day at the park, out to eat, and then to the movies that night.

I work very hard
But can I share something
I earn not much but I see to it that my son goes to a private school and I see that he have everything he needs
Saying that my son appreciate everything I do
In South Africa work is so hard to find
But if I tell my son I can't get him anything he do understand
At 16 he got a casual job and do save up if he want something
Times is hard all over the world
As parents we all want our children to have the best whether u rich or poor

I love kofi he's so sweet, hes brought up well hes just not used to the streets buts hes willing to learn and i like that, they were a bit jealous i can see but its not a competition its a exchange and they all could've been good friends.
Their 7 years old teaches her parents that they consider lucky family, make them reslise, ow shoot! We need to humble ourselves...
I hope they do a sequel - at the Ritz. The family and Kofi are so wonderful. Parents: Don't get a sitter; your children are well enough behaved for the Ritz, and they'll never forget it!

I’ve only watched the first 15 min of the episode but it seems like these « poor » people are treating him very bad - who would have someone coming to its place for the first time and make him do all the cleaning? This looks like jealousy to me - this kid didn’t choose his parents…

I think it was the producers idea. Every show has the rich kid going out and doing a day or weeks shopping for the family. This is the first time I’ve seen them use a large supermarket vs the neighbourhood grocery store. The idea is to get the rich kid to think of shopping with a small budget. At least the family thanked him when he paid his own money after going over budget (small money to him) and commended him for remembering the ham slices they had at home and thinking about what could go with it. One rich girl (Olivia I think) used the calculator on her phone to add up prices as she shopped and then put some things back when she went over the budget.
Also here is a radical thought- If you are poor stop after the first child. I'll give you the first and maybe a surprise second child but three kids and you only bring in $1000 a month?! That is just irresponsible. They have lessons to learn as well.

What a small minded comment. At no point did this family complain about how much they have. Their children are happy, their parents love and care for them, and once the youngest is old enough the dad will return to work, meaning they can at least double their household income. They have it all worked out, and are teaching their children to value the right things in life.
Fortunately we don't live in a class society where only rich people can have kids, apparently that's what people like you are rooting for

It's a good thing to say no to your children. I'm doing well and I say no to my kid. I went to college while having a baby, I had my advanced accounting finals 1 week after delivery. You need to build your career, it doesn't just happen overnight. I recommend serving or bartending at nights and going through college and it can be done with kids.
