      Its so disgraceful. A kid working mc donalds ok minimum wage is fine but a carer is a skilled job she should get at least what a plumber gets. Or electrician. Carer is a skilled profession!! Not just minimum wage for the time you give but a skilled job. It should absolutely have some sort of union like plumbers do.

      I mean if he is also poor he can't contribute much and if he's on social welfare he would be required to give very little and that is taken away from any benefits she gets. So a mom who may get rent supplement or some other benefit would have the same amount taken away as the father gives out of his dole. Which is a net win for the state and a net nothing for the mom and a loss for the dad. So most women would see no reason to ask for it because it just means the man has less to spend on his kids if he does take them at weekend or something. Very glad they don't ask because its none of anyones business.

    I think Id move heaven and earth for someone like kerry, if I had my own company or wealthy parents Id give her a decent job and help get kerry back on her feet. Here in NZ the community I live in is beautiful, people always selflessly helping each other from jobs, to adding a few dollars onto the end grocery total to credit to the family behind them waiting to buy their groceries.
    In saying all that, we are so much luckier financially here in NZ just with the benefits for families with a family getting over $500 a week and thats just the start. Makes me feel like telling those that moan here about the payments to shut up! And watch these stories.
    Watching this I feel like a rich kid yet I am not and certainly do not consider myself to be, but I do admit I do do a lot better than these poor British families. 😢😢

    And this is my third video watching this these shows here and the people and I noticed at toward the end before they leave they always give a gift but most of them give the gifts that don't really affect their life as far as financially some kind of surprised about that for example if you mentioned that you like rock climbing or they give you up a rock climbing voucher or if you mention that you like going to a gym workout Center give you a voucher or towards the end of the show there give the kids a toy the ones that are low income They Don't Really benefit from this but the ones that are well off do the ones that swell off they benefit by learning how to save and be aware of keeping their riches I didn't see where they enhance their lives at all when it comes to those who had less

    • @loislane1123
      @loislane1123 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I came here just to see if anyone else felt this way! I can't figure out why these super rich give these gifts that to someone who has to budget, while they graciously appreciate it, SURELY must find them silly, in comparison to a few MONTHS worth of groceries. Any one of the "gifts" I've seen given could support one of these families for a month or MORE. Yet the rich kids get to feel like they did something "so helpful" and go back to their life and talk about how they did this "super nice thing"..........just seems a little "off" to me. If I were on the other side, I'd do something that could ACTUALLY change their lives! A few months of all the bills and groceries paid, would enable these families to have a savings account, all for the price of about 2 nights of partying for these rich kids. (Most of which, I will admit, seem very understanding and learn a lot from this). Which also makes me thing that the SHOW is the one that chooses what they can "give", I'm wondering if there's a rule that they CAN'T give money.

    • @chasetonga
      @chasetonga 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I bet the show doesn’t allow them to give money, pay a bill, buy groceries, etc. Hopefully down the road, the wealthy people help, but not all of the poor families would accept the help. It is a matter of pride.

    • @Morgan_Layfay
      @Morgan_Layfay 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The entire purpose of the show is to supposedly "humble" these young adults, and teach them the small things and family matter more than large, expensive whatever's... So gifting a family outing that they value so much is really extremely thoughtful. That's the positive.
      Not one question about where the 2 children's FATHERS (plural) are. Not this young lady's responsibility.
      The Host didn't say she missed anything but her horse riding, so she gave her that.. What amount of this girl giving to her would you think would help?.
      As someone who has personally lived on both "sides of the track" , that's the mindset that keeps you where you're at so to speak.

    • @Morgan_Layfay
      @Morgan_Layfay 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@loislane1123I see it as they actually have a bit of a sense of "it's the thought that counts".. My children, both teens and working, often spend their money for gifts for their father and I, and we literally would rather them save it for themselves to be self sufficient. I often want to tell them to return it, but that would be hurtful as though I DON'T APPRECIATE IT ..The fact they even consider it is enough ❤️
      So I suggest small things like a candle when they say "what do you want for..", because my daughter bought me a FIFTY DOLLAR BLANKET once 😳 lol
      There's many lessons to be learned on both sides.
