Those scales on loaders are handy. Back when my Grandpa was alive and had the construction company is was guess it and weight it at the scale. He was almost always with in acceptable range. Plus is was done by ton back then it was all measured by the yard.

They keep the stone 'damp' to avoid dust, they'll tell you. But really they're bulking the weight with water so less stone and more $$$ (I'm just a cynic)
The trick is getting the material just past the Angle of Repose, which is the maximum angle material will lie before sliding. It would be nice if you had a camera on the bed.
In the last video, someone commented about listening for when the stone just starts to move, which is about when you crack open the tailgate. BTW I'm guessing you made you made this comment before the end of the video, because the last two loads did have the camera on the bed.

APNFORD Stone is anywhere from $25-$30 a ton. Like most things the more you buy the less they can sell it to you for. And of course there’s the $150k plus dump truck, driver, fuel, fuel stickers, plates, insurance, etc,etc...
In my neck of the woods, I'm surrounded by slate pits. Most are still open, a few closed. There's an awful lot of manual labor that goes into cutting those slabs. And forget about getting a job driving the tractors, that's the women's jobs. 😎😎🤔🤔🤔

you tell Timmy to drink a lot of beer the night before, then stand on the back of the grader, open zipper and spray along the way in large waves ... easy!

Best spreader I've ever met could do it just as good backwards as forwards. He also pulled a pup when spreading on county roads.

Call your local sand and gravel pit or quarry and ask them how much 20 tons would cost. Ask for AB or aggregate base.
Or 1/2" washed stone or3/4" washed stone where we are
