An artist in dirt, that's what you are. You sculpt the land so beautifully and what's nice is that you make it look natural. Thank you for sharing this, Chris. You are a joy to watch.
Wow, I actually got here early this time. Chris continues to deliver quality work, Kenny Komatsu from PA. has been a good machine for him. Good job on beach improvements.
I’ve been wondering about how many tons of stone you’ve used to build the roads on this whole project. I don’t have a clue but I’m sure it’s way up in the thousands of tons. You’ve used a lot just since you’ve been back. I’ve got a feeling that this won’t be the last time you will be working on this farm. Great video as always, I’m sure the land owner is more than pleased with everything you’ve done for him.
Man, you have done a lot of work out there on that farm !! And it has all tied in nice Chris !! Everything is looking really, really good all around the farm !! Great Work , As Always, Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
Sweet slickenem up job, true to the LD18 way of doing business. As always, a pleasure to watch a professional at work/play, anyway, enjoy what he does. Thanks.
Sediment maintenance embayment - with a loadout road and a spot for an excavator. Nice. Put a time lapse camera on it so the owner can watch sediments build deltas during storm events (and tell him when it needs excavating). :)
Ahh memories of the 220 taking more scoops to load out. Beach is really nice and big now. Road complete. It has been a good day. Another beautiful slice of heaven. Thanks Chris good video.
Beautiful job Chris. Yea brown river rock I use a lot and yes it’s quite expensive but sure dresses up a job. Looking forward to the finished look.👍👍👍👍
Do you think your ability to achieve the desired grade and look for stone using a Dozer vs Skid Steer is due to a blade vs bucket issue issue or a control and distance from surface issue? Maybe both? No experience as an operator, but I would think that the bucket on the Skid Steer makes it easier as it provides more surface area to push the stone down and together smoothing the stone which isn't an issue with any type of soil using either a blade or bucket. Your skills are amazing and evident in the looks of the grading our your projects, even before the stone is rolled in and fully compacted.
It is hard for him to go back to sites, unless he wants ask permission to have a look. I am guessing that might piss off some of his past customers and he would not want that. :)
i drove my chevy to the levee but the levee was dry...1971 Don McLean - American Pie (Lyric Video) American Pie Song by Don McLean A long, long time ago I can still remember how that music Used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while But February made me shiver With every paper I'd deliver Bad news on the doorstep I couldn't take one more step I can't remember if I cried When I read about his widowed bride Something touched me deep inside The day the music died So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin', "This'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die" Did you write the book of love And do you have faith in God above If the Bible tells you so? 39:15 @Mr DiGG has a bunch of huge fabric rolls that really look like geotextile that he gets delivered to his landfill - you see it in his recent landfill shredder vid - if transport cost isnt to high you may get one killer deal and a semi trailer or two full fabric
keep seeing the deer blind - it's famous, it marked the far side of the dam as you were building; watching to see progress of it's story - is that a new blind!?!? ( The deer blind diaries ;)
It's funny, I can finish grade with my backhoe, which is a huge beast, but when I try with the skid steer I chop everything up so bad I have to go back and do it again with the backhoe. It should be the other way around.
An artist in dirt, that's what you are. You sculpt the land so beautifully and what's nice is that you make it look natural. Thank you for sharing this, Chris. You are a joy to watch.
Happy Canada Day to all the Canadian followers! 🥳
Congratulations from our people in Geraldton - Midwest . We are having a mild winter 10 to 20 Degrees with some humidity.
You know it’s getting warm out when you select the equipment by the amount of AC!! Smart move there! Cool finishing touches to this project.
That piece of land has gone through a substantial overhaul and it's really looking great!👍
Sitting rared back in the office chair with the AC blowing up my drawer leg, those tracks rumbling on low volume is like a lullaby !
Didnt need the visual, but thanks anyway! Lol
Nice work as always. Like a 3 man crew, all by yourself!
'If a job is worth doing then it is worth doing well' - meticulous work hard to find fault in LetsDig18's work. Attention to detail is amazing.
I love those quiet early morning views.
Your busier than a one armed wall paper hanger with a case of the crabs!🤠
😂😂😂
Wtf?? 😆😆
That saying is as old as the hills. It's so funny because it's so true. Imagine hanging wallpaper with one arm! BUSY! LOL
…then you gotta scratch? 😳

Why? Just a question not like why. We know one thing, ITS A MASSIVE AMOUNT, don't forget rock for drainage or slopes. Rock is rock
Must be nice to help a customer developed their land. This a nice size project.
Fabric is the best! Multiple uses for the stuff!! As long as you don't have the WIND to deal with!!
Fabric does not work for weed control though and it sucks in landscaping applications. :)
@@dennis2376Real road fabric. Geotex. Won’t let weeds through. Also very expensive. And doesn’t come in small rolls like the stuff box stores sell.
If it ain’t windy, we ain’t laying fabric!!!
@@mikeznel6048 They got you. :) Weeds grow in the sand and dirt on top of the fabric.
This is another one of those massive projects that looks fantastic! It’s definitely come a long way from where it started!
Would love to see an update on the deepest pond you dug, with the gigantic island chris ?
Man, you have done a lot of work out there on that farm !! And it has all tied in nice Chris !! Everything is looking really, really good all around the farm !! Great Work , As Always, Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
The speed and efficiency of these machines never cease to amaze me.
Sweet slickenem up job, true to the LD18 way of doing business. As always, a pleasure to watch a professional at work/play, anyway, enjoy what he does. Thanks.
This place is going to look a picture postcard around this pond once all finished bro. Safe travels. Ken.
You have a very interesting business Chris. The videos are the cherry on top.
Some landscape timbers would help define and separate the sand from the topsoil. Make a big sandbox.
Woot woot it's a Let's Dig Monday!
Chris, your work is amazing!
When there is no beach in sight, build one. This huge project is coming along beautifully. Keep cool Chris, long days in the heat is no fun.
Chris that pond looks great.
Sediment maintenance embayment - with a loadout road and a spot for an excavator. Nice.
Put a time lapse camera on it so the owner can watch sediments build deltas during storm events (and tell him when it needs excavating). :)
Looking nice, Chris
Looks awesome !!! Customer should be very happy.👍😀😎
That fancy river-rock's not cheap, But since the pond looks so nice, it's worth it, to keep the pond looking nice :-)
Hi Chris everyone from northwest Missouri can't wait to see the new bucket get some scratches on it
Every piece of equipment has to have a name. Betty is the only one that has a name. It just gives it personality!
What about Barney ?
If you're a long time subscriber, you would know that the Yanmar is named "Strawberry Shortcake". Named by "JasonWorksAlot".
The 953A doesn't have a name 😂
@@rabid_1 And with the yellow mulching tool attached, Chris dubbed it "Strawberry Cheesecake" haha ha!
They all have names, but I can not remember them all. :)
That looked like a very busy day Cris, Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Looking Awesome Great Job Chris 👍
You are an artist with every job
Love your attention to detail 🎉
Just another letsdig18 Perfect job.
Wow what amazing roads and that beach, its gonna be an amazing pond once done!
The Road building a Speciality from You., and the Beach New to building this make You with great Perfection Thanks for this Video.

Soooooo nice…fantastic job once again Chris! May cooling breezes move in soon!!
👏👏👏👍👍👏👏👏
Nice video Chris.
Hello,
a nice good evening from Germany.
Ahh memories of the 220 taking more scoops to load out. Beach is really nice and big now.
Road complete. It has been a good day. Another beautiful slice of heaven. Thanks Chris good video.
That was great to watch. Great watching dirt mud and sand get all dressed up❤❤❤❤❤
Well, you finished work with a dozer looks terrific to me.
Your work always turns out great! You are definitely an artist in dirt and a pondmaster!
Sure is a far cry from the wheat field you started with sir? Real an awesome job you have done to say the least. From mud to dust, as always , huh? ❤
What a wonderful landscape! The property is turning out to be a paradise.
Chris, the Komatsu is a sweet little machine and you use it like an artists brush!
That pond.turned.our.beautiful. Great vision.
Chris, how hard is it , for you to believe you have so many loyal followers, I've been watching a long time!!!!!
I would not be surprised if that swampy strip is cleaned out and rip-raff is put in
Great job 👍🏻
Great work, enjoyable watching you accomplish your tasks for the day.
Chris just amazing job looks great
You are doing a Smart Job there lots of equipment looking good thanks.
That trailer is awesome!
Some dunes , marram grass and a junky old wooden boat would bless that beach with some character.
I hope who ever owns this place has a full time grounds keeper.
His name is Chris G.😂
The place has that famous CHRIS touch. SWEET!
Beautiful job Chris. Yea brown river rock I use a lot and yes it’s quite expensive but sure dresses up a job. Looking forward to the finished look.👍👍👍👍
Don't feel bad about grading stone. It's a pain regardless.
I think by the time you get done . He will have about five miles of roads .
I foresee this being another job like BealyGood. The job that keeps on giving.
Fancy , looks great
Nice beach house would be pretty cool
Love the video and your Nolegd too .
@letsdig18 can u do a walk around of your truck and explain how I like your truck so far

Multitasking as usual.
Nice Pond
3 8" I-beams. 3 inch white oak boards. Replace wood in 15 years, maybe more.
You can accurately grade stone with a dozer using a 2D or 3D Grade Control System.
Sliding in here at like #61. Even'n, Chris, all.
Yeah that place is looking good so it'd be nice when it's done. I hope you show it. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Looking good
That's what its like here in Phoenix all of the time.
i drove my chevy to the levee but the levee was dry...1971 Don McLean - American Pie (Lyric Video) American Pie
Song by
Don McLean
A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music
Used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
Something touched me deep inside
The day the music died
So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
Did you write the book of love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so?
Now, do you believe in rock 'n' roll
Can music save your mortal soul
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?
Well, I know that you're in love with him
'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues
I was a lonely teenage bronckin' buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died
I started singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
Now, for ten years we've been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rollin' stone
But that's not how it used to be
When the jester sang for the king and queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean
And a voice that came from you and me
Oh, and while the king was looking down
The jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned
No verdict was returned
And while Lenin read a book on Marx
A quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died
We were singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
Helter skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast
Now, the halftime air was sweet perfume
While sergeants played a marching tune
We all got up to dance
Oh, but we never got the chance
'Cause the players tried to take the field
The marching band refused to yield
Do you recall what was revealed
The day the music died?
We started singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
Oh, and there we were all in one place
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again
So, come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Jack Flash sat on a candlestick
'Cause fire is the Devil's only friend
Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage
No angel born in Hell
Could break that Satan spell
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died
He was singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I'd heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn't play
And in the streets the children screamed
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were broken
And the three men I admire most
The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died
And they were singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"
They were singin', bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die"

Actually there is a world wide shortage of sand. It even become something to fight for. Thank you and have a great day.
Great Video Chris
Good operation
wonder what kind of underlayment you put under gravel for a drive.
Now it is time for a water truck or at least a trash pump to get some water from the pond and put some moisture in the dirt you're moving.
This client has DEEEEP pockets!!
The way you work I bet you sleep good at night!!!!
Hey Chris we need to see the cabin how is it coming ??
That’s a good customer for sure. Wonder who owns that place.
keep seeing the deer blind - it's famous, it marked the far side of the dam as you were building; watching to see progress of it's story - is that a new blind!?!?

Petty well done for a one man show!
perhaps I missed it how did the very deep pond you built with the island in the middle turned out, you rented a mega off road dump truck for the job.
100 degrees you should be proud. DP is still wearing 2 jackets and you can see his breath..Aaron says he is constantly on vacation LOL
Getting there.😎😎😎👍👍👍
I bet they will enjoy the beach for 4th of july
Nice
6:45 ish A hot time in the Old Town Tonight ...circa 1927 when Bessie Smith was singing with Fletcher Henderson in New York
You don’t have to worry about running out of sand you got your own sand pit at Scott’s lake
Yeah, but that's in South Carolina. 🙂
