As wifes we can be homemakers or home wreckers, we have a lot of power. One thing I will add to your list is the tone of our voice. My husband is around a lot of people at work and is tired when he gets home; the tone of my voice is one of the things he is most sensitive about. I am probably not the only one who can fall into a complaining or accusing tone without even noticing it myself.
I just saw this video and it’s my first time watching your channel. I mean this in a very respectful way but two things I would ask you to consider. First is don’t cut out salt. Processed foods yes!! I cut out salt after the birth of my second and I ended up with thyroid problems and hashimotos. You need the iodine … I can’t say that enough. Before I was diagnosed there were days that by one o’clock I couldn’t stand up. My legs would just feel as though they were going to collapse. It was horrible. That’s been over thirteen years ago. Also, women think that multi tasking is a super power but it catches up with you. Learn to slow down. I can tell you that as your kids get older, you will become more busy and so use the years now while you are able to be home more to learn to slow down and do one thing. Focus on that task and then move forward. All the other things I agree with you on. The man is the head of the household. Doing special things like cooking his favorite meals and dressing in a way that he likes are all good things. My husband and I have been married 23 plus years and I stayed home with our kids and now work with him on our farm part time. Enjoy the years with your littles. It goes so fast. I’m currently making memory boxes for mine to have one day. I can’t believe how much they have grown and even how my hubby and I have changed. You don’t have to be “old” to see it. It seems that with each decade a great amount of change happens. Many blessings to you and this channel!
@@JamieLC82 thank you for the lovely comment! We haven’t cut out salt so don’t worry- I just make roast chicken that way haha. And don’t worry, I do slow down a a lot. I’m not an overly productive or ambitious person, and I do always have rest time each day
my husband is oblivious to what I wear and when I changed the slip covers to our living room cushions for the Christmas season, he never noticed. The only discussion he actually enjoys is about the football scores.
Good advice, unfortunately my husband is more concerned about watching football. I do multi task, do most all of the repairs, painting and gardening. He is happy with a bog of potato chips and the remote in his hand.
Thank you for your lovely, uplifting and encouraging video. I have enjoyed watching a couple of your videos and look forward to watching more. God bless you and your family, :) Martine
I loved this perspective- really challenged me in a good way. Question - I struggle with my hobbies being once that are productive/serve my family when my husband’s hobbies aren’t always that. Similarly with taking the responsibility of childcare when my husband isn’t always doing productive things with his time. Have you experienced this?
This can be tricky, I’ve been there. For me, I’ve found its best to find a quiet moment to discuss things with your husband and what you both expect/ what your family needs. I don’t think anyone has to be productive all of the time and I know that sometimes my husband really is just in the zone to chill. But then he works way too much the next week and doesn’t hardly sleep, so I’m getting a bit more used to it now! I also need chill time and make sure I set this aside or listen to my body when I need it- the most important thing (I think) is that you get your ‘chores’ done with a smile and a good attitude. If your hobbies are just for fun at this stage, that’s ok 💖💖
@ that’s ok xx hope the chats go well, be patient with yourself and your husband because all good things take time. We are still constantly working things out over here too
Why does a hobby need to be "productive"? That's the whole point of hobbies...they are something you simply enjoy doing...nothing to do with productivity.

@@annemaritellertsen805 so true! Tone helps a lot! And the way you ask for something

This is true! We need A LOT of sea salt. We also need plenty of real butter. Eat them both in abundance for good health!
@ I loooove butter, don’t worry!

This makes me really sad.
It's the mentality of extreme christians in american and what makes it sadder they try to indoctrinate other women
lol, why?
