Why This Cancelled Pokemon Game DIDN'T Work...

- This concept for a game originally titled "Pokemon Rodeo" Allegedly got leaked last month. Decided to save this topic for a rainy day, and its POURING out there. Lets chat about it!

When i first heard "throw out pokeballs" i was imagining pokeballs with pokemon in them, which could be a cool idea. Imagine dashing around on a ride pokemon, dodging attacks from enemy pokemon while sending your pokemon out to counter. I can honestly see a few ways to fix it based on this design alone:
Your ride pokemon functions as your weapon, launching attacks with varying range and effects. Charizard could be a rapid-fire of fireballs, Garchomp could use Dual Chop to launch claw swipes that deal the most damage at close range, Decidueye could be a sniper, etc. Then, you also have a team of pokemon with their own hp, and can send them out like sub-weapons/abilities, for example the Charizard trainer could summon a Growlithe to launch a fire blast to help cut off enemies, or the Garchomp trainer could send out H-Sligoo to function as a temporary barricade with the move shelter.
The game could be about quick decisions on what to do with your pokemon. Is it worth letting H-Sliggo faint, hence being unable to help again for some time, to buy time for Dracloak to land that finishing blow? Is it worth holding out on sending Growlithe out in the current fight, hence risking your own loss, to make sure its ready for when the enemies push?
I can see the potential, and i am waiting for a trailer before i give up hope on the game, simply because this concept alone has a lot of merit!

I understand what you mean when it comes to leaks, but this isn’t really one of those fake stater, region, and Pokemon leaks, this is a confirmed straight up data leak, even Nintendo itself has confirmed the data leak, so this stuff I feel is more informational than anything since it’s mostly just scrapped concepts, beta images, videos, and beta versions of games.
I feel like the mechanic will be in ZA

It's all based on Riddler Khu and 4chan stuff, I don't trust it. According to his rumors there was "a new trailer coming next week" for like 2 or 3 months.
"If they'd taken a year or two to polish up Scarlet and Violet, they could've had the most successful Pokémon game in a decade" you do know SV are about to be the second best selling Pokémon games ever, right?
I tend to never look at leaks just because it would temper my expectations for the games. Heck trailers are bad enough and they're official by the developers such as Tears of the Kingdom. When they showed off Zelda falling into the darkness. Here I thought to myself that Zelda would fall into a pool of malice and become corrupted due to her weakned goddess powers waning after BotW and the only way to save her is go around Hyrule and fixing the sword again to force out the malice. Or if you don't do that the next best option would've been knocking her out or having to kill her to save her form the malice.
What we got instead was very different, honestly I kinda wish they had went darker for TotK, but that's just me.
The point leads back to pokemon's trailers/leaks. Avoid them to prevent tempering your imagination/expectation.
Man I respect your opinion but every Ilca developed game has been pretty mediocre.
One Piece Odyssey is eh even if you love One Piece, Sandland has really dull gameplay for an action game and I don't need to talk about bdsp.

It’s been years and you still haven’t touched Pokémon horizons.
Do you still planning on covering it? Will the anime be on the horizon in may not so distant future?

Let’s do the sales numbers between normal spin off games, spinoff mobile games, and mainline games, shall we? Spin off games have sold between 1 million to 5 or 6 million that isn’t a spinoff mobile game anyway. Mainline games that aren’t third versions or remakes have sold between 8 million with black and white 2 to 30 something million with red, green, and blue. If we add mainline Pokemon remakes sales, that’s between 12 million to 15 million with let’s go and bdsp being at 15 million. If we had Pokemon third versions sales thats between 6 to I think 8 or 9 million with crystal being the lowest and I believe or think ultra sun and moon being one of the highest third versions in sales. Mobile Pokemon spinoff games have all sold millions if your Pokemon sleep, Pokemon tcg pocket, Pokemon masters ex, Pokemon unite, and Pokemon cafe remix or billions of your Pokemon go since 2016. Normal Pokemon spin off games that necessarily sales that we’ll ever. Literally between 1 million and 5 or 6 million. Even the best and most popular Pokemon spinoff game series have all sold between 2 million to 4 to 5 or 6 million. But I think none have sold below 1 million. People don’t want to admit that with normal Pokemon spinoff games and how much they have all sold. Yea I would love a Pokemon mystery dungeon game but I know it’s going to sell between 2 million to 4 or 5 million. You can see why the Pokemon company hasn’t made or released normal Pokemon spinoff games in recent years in the last 10 to 5 years. This Pokemon spinoff game in the video if it were to come out, probably would sell between 2 or 4 million if it’s on switch or the next Nintendo console.

@jeffsmith3747 Because they are trying to force indie game devs who were inspired by them to stop selling their games. Meanwhile, Pokemon was inspired by Dragon Quest and many other games.
@@jessea9744yeah, they're overstepping with patent lawsuits. Of course they're able to get away with this nonsense in Japan, but this wouldn't fly in the US.
