Donkey Kong Country 2 came just one year after the first. The game is much more challenging and the star is now Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong's sidekick from the first game. Diddy goes on a quest with the latest kong character, Dixie Kong, to rescue the kidnapped Donkey Kong. At this past Awesome Games Done Quick, $1,025,000 was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. It only took a week of continuous streaming, 18,000 donors, and many many runners to achieve. A big thanks to everyone responsible for these amazing numbers, what a humbling achievement. For comparison, last year's event raised just under $500,000.

The Donkey Kong games are not loved enough. Maybe because they came in the last years of Super Nintendo. But those games are fucking perfect!

Awesome, this runner was far superior to the DKC 1 runner IMO. Excellent execution, barely any chokes.
I've beaten this game so many times and didn't know there were so many warp barrels to take you straight to the end of the level.

King Zing Sting... The boss that took me years to beat as a kid... and he beats it in under a minute... excuse me while I look for my dignity...
I just cheated and sat in the room where you spawn and hit him until he went on to his second stage. (The second stage is easy).

I discovered as a kid that you can shoot him without leaving the spawn zone ... it just need patience

The original Donkey Kong Country set a very high bar for 2D platformers. This game manages to surpass it in every regard.

1.Squawks appears in all bramble levels.
2.Squawks appears in most levels than any other buddy sorted:(Squawks with most,then Rattly then that spider,then Rambi and less appearances has Enguarde :/

i wish they did a no-warp run of this game. you don't get to see any of the stages when you use warps.

How he passed the level like that?
It's a glitch. I don't know much about it but I think it's related to the Castle Crush glitch where you pick up something (like a barrel or a bug) but the game interprets the object you picked up as something else, in this case, if you look closely you'll see that just before getting into the cannon he threw nothing after fiddling around with the bugs (that fiddling around is what enables the glitch), that "nothingness" he threw defined that the cannon would exit the level. I don't know the technical aspects of it, but it's somewhat like that.
