Her "atheist's version of Ave Maria" is legit, real quality art rock/electronica, it's also an honest philosophical inquiry to which the scientist would love to have answers - but doesn't, and acknowledges it. Her kind of atheism is not the hostile, deprecating brand of Dawkins & comp., it's much more in the vein of Daniel Dennett (as in "subjectively, I'd like to believe, because of the answers and solace faith provides - but I don't, and I can't, because reason tells me so"). I appreciate Sabine's science videos, for their clear explanations and intellectual honesty ( the contrary of the sensationalism and self-important false pretense that we see in some of the other scientists' TH-cam presentations), and I'm very pleasantly surprised by the the quality of her music videos (this one being one of the very best); same raw honesty (no gimmicks) as in her science presentations.

@@garyheron Well, that is a debate that has been going on since antiquity. :) Theism by itself isn't so difficult: Platonists and Aristotelians gave reasonable arguments for belief in God.
@@scarfhs1 Very few philosophical arguments are convincing to everyone that hears them. That doesn't detract from the fact that they are based on logical reasoning from reasonable hypotheses. To be convinced by an Aristotelian argument, it naturally helps if you subscribe to Aristotle's Theory of Change and other core parts of his metaphysics. :)

Often, it is extremely difficult to judge whether they are true of false, in isolation, so you end up having to adjust them depending on what it is you think isn't working in whatever theory of reality you are working under in a piecemeal fashion, until your system of beliefs seems to be consistent and have few obvious conceptual problems with it.
