Had a close call on my hornet yesterday, gave it too much coming out of a corner onto a fast road and accidentally initiated a drift. Managed to ease off gently enough to get back on top of it before it low sided or worse. Got to remember to respect the little 600 even if it's not a brutish sport bike.
Woow brooo glad to hear you are okay. What a shame for the bike its a beautiful machine. I literally have they exact same bike. After seeing your videos i was convinced to buy the hornet it was 4 months ago and im happy i made this choice. But its my first bike so im still super careful. Some times it plays with me then I realize that i have to calm down. Its on 200 so quickly before you realize. And riding a bike is a bigger risk then a car you have to pay a 100 times more attention in the traffic. Butt yhea im glad you okay yourself hopefully you are back on the road soon🙏👊🏻
Thanks very much bro, you exactly right, gotta always be careful, we never know what's around the corner. And yeah the hornet can be scary fast, but best to test its limits on a track.
Thanks brother, your absolutely right, when I went out I always though I was invincible like nothing can happen, I looked at it as being positive but nah it aint smart.
Damn, sorry to hear. I crashed mine aswel about a month and a half ago. It's not totaled, not by a longshot, but still has damage on painted parts, windshield, cluster gauge, left footrest, headlight housing and some other bits and bobs. Absoloutley gutted. It was the yellow one too, which around here are pretty rare for a Hornet. Wasn't even going that fast, maybe 50-60kph. Was overtaking a guy in a VW Golf and he turned left in front of me, without indicating, just as I was overtaking him. Needless to say there wasn't much I could do. Tried braking but didn't have enough room. Nowhere to swerve either at that point. As I was going down I was thinking "I can't believe this". Had seen so many of those types of numbskulls who don't look before making manouvers and managed just fine, even in more dangerous situations. That seems to just have been my day to fall I suppose. Landed on my left side and ended up with a fractured Humerus (Greater Tuberosity) and had to wear a sling for a month. Other than that, had some road rash but that was no biggie. Anyway, personally I'm grateful, really grateful it wasn't worse, that the fracture wasn't moved from its place, that I didn't need any screws or surgery or anything of the sort. But at this point I still can't help thinking that when it's all said and done, my bone healed on its own without too much fuss. The bike... not so much, but oh well, it is what it is at this point. Still gutted though. If I may ask, how did you crash yours ? What happened ? Was it an accident with another vehicle or did you crash on your own ? Frame bent, or just totaled in the sense that it's not worth repairing ?
That sounds rough man, but shit happens all we can do is move on. For me I was going round a blind bend on a narrow road going bout 80 to 90kph, a car was going in the opposite direction in the middle of the road, I panicked and hit the brake mid bend so the bike slid from underneath me and hit the car head on, the front suspension got ripped of the bike and frame bend.
@@iride1999 Damn, that sucks man. Good thing you got away without serious injuries thanks to wearing full gear. Sorry about your bike. Watched your videos before I got my Hornet, and then continued watching them when I couldn't go out because of rain or other reasons as the video and especially audio quality are top notch. Plus it reminded me of mine in terms of sound, haha. Anyway, looking forward to your future videos. Stay safe out there man.
Yeah man miss that bike so much I know I won't get another one like it, it was really special. Just the character that it has I've never ridden another bike that has it.
If you start off slow and get used to it you'll be fine, in my case I was going beyond my limit and I crashed, maybe abs would have saved me but I cant know for sure.
you sure did like to ride that her hard i assume this was km/h and not mphm if its mph, holy shitballs man .. glad you are ok, was scared we would see her go down
Thanks dude, yeah I got another bike after the hornet but then I crashed that one too😖, but recently I bough another one and I'll be revealing it soon hopefully.
