for me it's the spino, but when u think about it the T-rex is the oversized one in here so I would say make the Rex size film accurate and fix the Spino rig which makes it lean more to the ground

Honestly the thing that really bugs me the most about the game in general is how herbivores are often down scaled and depicted as weak and helpless. Dont get me wrong most carnivores would still win these match ups, but its to easy. There is no risk at ALL during most hunts its 100% clean sweep for the hunter, and that is really boring, also not true to reality at all.
I have a feeling that Universal didn't want Tyrannosaurus to look too puny compared to Indominus Rex, so they maintained an upscaled size for it in both games. However, this triggered a domino effect to not make the other large theropods too small in comparison as well.
Honestly? I feel the same, spino and giga had good sizes on evo1 release, they also did try to scale the cerato to match the JP3 (Sure ended up being larger because they used length instead of height) but they still followed either the films or real life, meanwhile the rex just was so much larger than any of the film ones, just so random.

IF they didn't care, many of those quality of life updates and stuff just wouldn't have happened like they did now (Like the new viewing galleries and other quality of life changes such as new cinematic camera, pterosaurs now actually landing on rocks, etc). They even added the fricking Camp Cretaceous DLC pack even though they have stated that they weren't going to add any CC content upon release (or just before) of JWE2. So, that little statement you made is pretty false, and more than likely they will listen or catch on with what people are saying about the dinosaur sizes eventually.
I would definitely scale down the Tyrannosaurus to its 93 size and scale up Pachyrhino. My solution to the Quetzal problem would be to keep the 2022 skin the size as it is, and then scale its Frontier skins down to a more reasonable size.
Id personally would scale down most of the medium plus theropods aswell. But yeah I like that solution to the quetz problem, would be nice aswell to see that with more film skins like the rex or allo.
Oh for those that wonder, given this was done before I ccould access the Feathered DLC. Deinocheirus is totally fine size wise, is as large as the bigger specimens we have, Yutyrannus meanwhile is indeed a tad larger than the real one.
Yeah the spino perfect size but lacking the bulkiness the film version and tv show has. Hell it weird how skinny the jwe2 version is compared to the jwe1 one
If it isn't anymore obvious, I would rather have them shrink the Rex down to 13.5 m. like it was in the first game and just bulk up the JWE2 Spinosaurus model (whilst keeping its standard 15 m. size) because oddly enough they made the Spinosaurus skinnier in JWE2 compared to its JWE1 counterpart. This is why I downloaded the B&B Spino mod on Nexus but because of the new update, had to switch it back to the vanilla model.
Honestly, I just wanted the frontier to be based on the official sizes of dinosaurs in the JP/JW franchise instead of putting the size they think is best, it's ridiculous that the T-rex in the game is 14.5m long and 5.83m tall, that's it it is more than a meter above the official size of the Rexy, another thing that bothers me a lot is the almost quadruped posture of Spinosaurus in the game and how skinny he is

Id also make the aviary taller in the first place. Honestly the height of the aviary should play into a comfort of the species on how much height they need for comfort
Yeah I’d personally like to have the aviaries to have varying scales when it comes to each creature. Kinda gets annoying whenever you make an aviary full of 2022 dimorphodons and jeholopterus where you can barely ever see them in just a single aviary, the roofs possibly may become bigger if they add more large pterosaurs
I’ve had this problem since the first game. All of the medium+ sized carnivores are just so ridiculously huge, it’s the most apprent when you see them next to people in the game. They should just scale all of them down for like 20%, it would look much better, especially when compring them to herbivores.
I'm curious as to why you went with P. canadensis when the IG one has the general anatomy of P. lakustai, regardless of that though this is definitely pretty good at highlighting the issue of scale this game has, especially within the medium carnivore guild. Making them match more with their IRL counterparts could help give them all more unique feeling in parks

Still can't get over the fact that in the Data the Quianzhousaurus weight up to 7,9 tons while the Spinosaurus weight is only 4 tons despite the Spinosaurus being much much larger than the Quianzhou
@@manchungus3486 The size stats that show in the dino log (I think that is what it's called) are mad bonkers. They said that compy is 3 meters long XD all seriousness though, I wouldn't pay attention to those incorrect size estimates and just enjoy the game.

I also have this weird feeling when playing the game that your not really supposted to zoom in, like trying to look at smaller animals is nearly impossible, and that's probably why Frontier has been so hesitant to add add them, I just feel like guests are too small a lot of the time as well. I feel like in order to fix some of the issues you would basically need to completely rework the in game camera, and the scale of the guests to be able to have apropriate sizes. This is a problem that JPOG also seems to have for more obvious reasons, but games that seem to not have this issue include Prehistoric Kingdom, Frontier's own Planet Zoo, and Zoo Tycoon 2(which unlike any of the other three was designed eith the specific ability in mind to be able to walk around at eye level which seems smart considering the issue.)

I think another possible reason why they may have made alot of the dinos larger is so you can see them a bit easier, since smaller dinos (especially compy and the other tiny ones) are almost invisible when zoomed out, and dinos like velociraptor and dilophsaursus are also fairly hard to see unless zoomed in obviously. But thats just a thought.
Yeah but as I have mentioned I dont think them being large is the problem itself but like, lack of consistency and variety. If ya just gonna make some select species largers make them all larger, plus keep it on proportion
I think spino is fine size wise, is the same size as the animatronic. As for the giga id say make it the same height at the hips as the rex, it's model is a good bit longer in proportion to the rex so it would still look larger
It would have been much better if they had simply put T-rex 13m long and 4.8m high, but frontier always over-glamorizes the size of T-Rex since Evolution 1 which is also a big mess with sizes

I noticed that the stegosaurids(besides the new dlc ones and stegosaurs) are super small in jwe1 they were average size but now in jwe2 they are the size of a raptor and raptors can two or one shot them now
Nah they are actually better in jwe2, the game has mostly small species. consider the game also really leans into carnivore bias btw, they tend to be both larger and stronger in the game, I also think the JP and JP3 raptors in the game a tiny bit larger than they should, well certainly the JP3 ones.
The movie dinosaurs are way more oversized than the species added by Frontier, not only that but some of the species from JWE1 were downscaled drastically.

With dinos that weren't in the film, I wish they resized them, the film dinos you could keep at their current size as long as they line up with each other, like Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus but then you'd end with a massive Spinosaurus so, yeah Also, seeing the ingame Apato and Brachi model next to the film ones makes me sad, the film ones look so much more better, wish they also gave some film dinos a TLC to match the film counterparts more
i honestly love the sizes that they are, i think for the games proportions of fences, buildings, decorations and landscaping tools the dinosaurs sometimes feel too big or too small depending on what you’re comparing them to, the sizes they are now whilst not 100% accurate in numbers fit the game the best they can whilst pleasing the majority of people
This one I can agree with. The game doesn't have camera tricks like the movies so they kinda have to size up the carnivores so as to not look too small vs the Indominus.
@@paolopasaol9700 The issue is not so much oversizing though as commented in the video. Is mostly that is not a consistent upscale through all the species. Gonna oversize your dinos? well then do an equal upscale among all, otherwise you end up with something that simply doesnt look good.
@@MrTroodon_Official Speaking of witch, one mode I would like to see is a mod that allows us to really edit the dinossaur status. So people can make their dinos weaker or stronger acording to their preferences. And also add or remove traits freely without rellying on RNG.

To be fairly honest, I don't mind the sizes all too much, as I just genuinely enjoy the game either way, and even though the resize ideas do make sense in a way, truly I don't mind too much. After all, it is a game, not everything is exactly perfect in most games. At best though, I'd think that either a remodel or a new variation for both the Pachyrhinosaurus and Mamenchisaurus (1997) for example I think would be much better for those dinos (that's just what I hope), but that's just me. I just find the models of Pachyrhinosaurus and Mamenchisaurus a bit strange, I don't know why. All in all though, I just enjoy the game as is B)
No, not really. Both are arguably around similar sizes irl with Spino still having the potential to be bigger. Meanwhile in JP, Spino just should be straight up larger because the JWE2 Rex is literally head and shoulders above Rexy who is canonically the largest Rex in the franchise.

Sadly they all end up being equally bigger, scarier and with more teeth. Just makes each individual specie a bit less unique in the end

Mostly went with P.canadensis due the digsite and the size it already had, since ingame it matches the lower size estimates of it.

interestingly you didn't list JWFK and JWD T. rex sizes, which were pretty massive if i remember correctly

Plus indominus rex isn't accurate too. Ingame 6.3m tall and adult size indominus rex is 6.7m tall
With dinos that weren't in the film, I wish they resized them, the film dinos you could keep at their current size as long as they line up with each other, like Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus but then you'd end with a massive Spinosaurus so, yeah
Also, seeing the ingame Apato and Brachi model next to the film ones makes me sad, the film ones look so much more better, wish they also gave some film dinos a TLC to match the film counterparts more
i honestly love the sizes that they are, i think for the games proportions of fences, buildings, decorations and landscaping tools the dinosaurs sometimes feel too big or too small depending on what you’re comparing them to, the sizes they are now whilst not 100% accurate in numbers fit the game the best they can whilst pleasing the majority of people
This one I can agree with. The game doesn't have camera tricks like the movies so they kinda have to size up the carnivores so as to not look too small vs the Indominus.
@@paolopasaol9700 The issue is not so much oversizing though as commented in the video. Is mostly that is not a consistent upscale through all the species.
Gonna oversize your dinos? well then do an equal upscale among all, otherwise you end up with something that simply doesnt look good.

@@MrTroodon_Official Speaking of witch, one mode I would like to see is a mod that allows us to really edit the dinossaur status.
So people can make their dinos weaker or stronger acording to their preferences. And also add or remove traits freely without rellying on RNG.

2:36 depends on which trex you are talking about. Rexy and big eatie are far bigger than JP3 Spino and the other rexes are smaller.

To be fairly honest, I don't mind the sizes all too much, as I just genuinely enjoy the game either way, and even though the resize ideas do make sense in a way, truly I don't mind too much. After all, it is a game, not everything is exactly perfect in most games. At best though, I'd think that either a remodel or a new variation for both the Pachyrhinosaurus and Mamenchisaurus (1997) for example I think would be much better for those dinos (that's just what I hope), but that's just me. I just find the models of Pachyrhinosaurus and Mamenchisaurus a bit strange, I don't know why. All in all though, I just enjoy the game as is B)

No, not really. Both are arguably around similar sizes irl with Spino still having the potential to be bigger. Meanwhile in JP, Spino just should be straight up larger because the JWE2 Rex is literally head and shoulders above Rexy who is canonically the largest Rex in the franchise.
Indom looks a little small so does baryons especially the 2018 one which was the size of the carno
My head canon in my park they use Scotty's DNA for it's Rex hense why it's bigger and stronger than other Rexes. *Shrug* xD
