So, at the insistence of one of my viewers I had to look up "fan service" and instead of making more sense, it became more ridiculous. "A little treat for the audience, usually sexual in nature". What do you mean? These women drivers of HighSpeed Etoile are meant to be viewed as a little sexual treat the whole time they are racing then? With their skintight latex racing suits? While men are allowed to race in normal firesuits? Is that it? See, this is why I can't take you seriously. You are making a joke of yourselves and you don't even know it. Because the only people you interacted with are like minded anime otaku boys, or you are deluding yourselves that this is supposed to be normal. Then you say I'm living in a bubble lul I am becoming that Miyazaki Hayao now, ready to swing some reality into your calves. To be clear, you are not a bad person for liking those wee anime things per se. The difference in 'when' and 'where' that thing comes is what matters, specifically for Highspeed Etoile. The blatant difference between the extremely anime-fied female drivers in skimpy suits and their long hair and on-site pitlane makeup tomfoolery, versus almost real-to-life looking male drivers in realistic firesuits was, to me, from the beginning, what ruined my "immersion". You like immersion don't you? You anoraks love immersion. I do as well. I am allowed to point that out. Now when I say "immersion", I am not demanding absolute realism from HSE like that 'Insider' channel which would bring out doctors of physiology to tell if the blowjob scene from a certain film is real or not. My brain would have treated HSE as immersive if it made female and male drivers both anime-fied, or both realistic. That's the magic our brains can make. It does NOT CARE as long as something is consistent. If I was a male audience watching HSE I would have said exactly the same: "that looks weird", because currently the female characters and male characters are made to look so much different from each other. To the point they might as well have come from different universe. Most likely, it was a rather coy attempt to appease people - the target audience. Most likely males, heterosexual, teens to twenties, likes anime, etc. etc. The usual hodge-podgery. I was just making a wee fun of HSE up to this point, but come to think of it, it does offend me now. And I am thinking you boys, lads or whatever that has been targetted by this anime, should be offended more than I am. It's as if the producers were saying "we know you can't handle real women so we made only the women in this racing anime to look like dolls and act in a manner that don't challenge your artificial taste and keep you within comforts provided by their manufactured performance and acted subservience." While treating men like proper human beings. That's why I mentioned Sailor Moon and how Tenoh Haruka was depicted in it as a racing driver, as a counterpoint. Giving her Senna's Marlboro Mclaren Honda firesuit. But it's not just the firesuit, she is a speed junkie. She's always obsessing over speed, dreaming about being on circuit, doing other G related things like dirtbiking and overspeeding on her superbikes on public roads - she can't handle her energy. Sailor Moon was NOT a racing themed anime, like AT ALL, but it does a great job of convincing she is genuinely a race car driver. Ergo, Haruka is made to look like a racing driver first, and anime girl second. In HSE, a dedicated racing anime, the women looks like anime girl first, and racing driver second. That becomes so much clear when you compare them to male drivers who look all serious and real. Again, difference matters. Like, you deserve better. I know a lot of people including you lot, who are dying to get Michele Mouton Group B movie to be made. It would be laughable if they made her a uwu anime girl. You CAN handle realistic women, despite what anime directors think. You want and deserve GOOD representation of women instead of what the media assumes you want, and is feeding to you. Cheers, or not.
@@Parappatherapperfan I couldn't because I am really busy at the moment. But from the trailer alone I was a bit discouraged because the men in this anime were too realistic looking compared to women characters and I could see it breaking the immersion a bit. Its like they're from different anime universe, like😅 Overtake! anime series was at least consistent about how it wanted to draw its characters. But I have to try and watch HSE because if I want to properly judge it I have to know what its about.

I am sorry I couldn't agree with your constant need for a semi in your crotch region. Maybe its because I have better things to do than spending enough time on the internet to know what a fan service is supposed to mean.
@@pricklypear300 o snap, i forgot, people like you only live in a bubble, my bad. welcome to the broader internet, if you're done PMSing and thinking anything and everything in the world you disagree with, needs to be changed simply because it doesn't suit your severely limited pallet, then i strongly advice you to stop looking for things that offend you and get of social media in its entirety, it's not doing your limited world view any good.
