My favourites are definitely the Irish sport horse and the Percheron
I rode a Friesian horse from a youngster of 4 years until old age took him at 25 and bit , he could trot for miles without breaking sweat ,,I am pretty lightweight 8 stone ,which is about 112 pounds , so guess he barely felt my weight .
His trot stride was full of power and grace ,his canter was and gallop was like sitting astride a medieval changer
Miss him ,he was such a beautiful soul and beautiful piece of living obsidian too.
I have some of these horses! I have the Curly horse, Gypsy Vanner, Knabstrupper, and Paint!

#1 Akhal Teke first time reading and seeing photos of this breed when I was a child I thought it was the most beautiful horse, and I still believe so today.

I think they have a wonderful sheen on their coats, but I’m not impressed by their conformation. I like a chunky horse that looks like it could carry a bigger person, around 75kg, such as I am

I love my Paso finos. Have ridden mine 6000 miles. We are so bonded all I have to do is think what I want him to do and he does it. It is truly amazing

I always loved a quarter horse, or part bred. Strong, versatile, can jump or do an excellent dressage test. Calm natured, very reliable, and when a quarter horse is a chestnut colour, it is second to none

My top 5 favorite breeds are the, Appaloosa, Friesian, Gypsy Vanner, the Black Forest horse, and the Missouri Fox Trotter

You left out the Paso Fino breed. They have a natural smooth gait the Corto which is like a trot but so smooth. No posting necessary at the Corto or the largo which is faster but also very smooth. Many different colors and usually very willing to work. I have 2. One for trail and one for show.
I like the quarter horse and specially the Arabic horse, but those Indian horse breeds are beautiful as well

Paints! My family bred them for years. Mine was originally trained for reining and roping, but I trained (well with a pro barrel racer as my instructor) him for barrels, and he loved it. When I sold him, he went to a family with young daughters who all learned barrel racing on him. He was amazing. I've always wanted to be around Friesians, but they're rare where I live I've never seen one in real life before sadly.

Why include a color breed like the paint horses. They are just a color of horses. Not a breed of their own.
And you left out the Arabian who was foundation breed of many other breeds.
My favorite is the Appaloosa and Arabian cross. Mine was fast, loyal, and a great friend. He died in 1988 and I miss him every day.
Then my other favorites are Thoroughbreds Arabians Morgan's and many others.
Paint may be a color but the American paint horse is a real breed
@@Cecil472 yes american paints are a breed with that coloring. You mean the color pinto? Arabian appaloosa crosses are called arappaloosa
@@Cecil472 technically the American Paint horse is not a genuine breed. It's basically a quarter horse with a pinto pattern coat. Personally, I don't consider any breed with an open stud book to be a true breed of horse.

Where is the Suomenhevonen aka. the Finnish horse in this segment? He/ she helped the Finnish soldiers beat the Russian army. The soldiers from Finland used to say: Yks Suomalainen vastaa kymmentä Ryssää = one Finnish soldier equals ten Russian ones.
Friesian Horse
I grow up with the American Quarter Horse. We raised all types roping, cutting and trail. Even though they are all quarter horses they have their own look and abilities.

Paint and Pinto are NOT breeds! They are colors! Technically, they are mutts. And horses don't have fur, they have hair. My favorite breed is the American Quarter Horse. They do everything with a calm nature.
My cousin Lydia had a herd of qauter horses 🐎 ! I would go visit her every Summer to go horse back riding!

I have seen some of the Lippizans in Florida once...even got to pet them and take pictures...I even got to see some of the performance...WOW!!!
