Not surprising he always mentions money, that's the objective of making this video. How long do you think he actually worked on it? Maybe an afternoon of some googling and slapping some horse pictures over a script? This a sadly typical "Top 10, 15" video where the person making has zero knowledge on the topic. Why? Because top 10 videos do well with the algorithm and make the creator more money regardless of how accurate it is. And all the people commenting how incorrect the video is? It literally just makes him more money because comments = engagement which = more ad money. Now that I'm thinking about it, he actually has a financial incentive to get things wrong, because people will comment to correct him and drive engagement.
Thoroughbreds are really not that expensive. I owned an 18 hand chestnut stallion for 33 years. He was a half brother in blood to Secretariat (the mothers of both were full sisters). I bought him for 800 dollars as a weanling colt, who was already 16.1 hands at the age of 8 months. His sire was really big also---18 hands, and was never raced. My own "Big Red" never went to the track. He was trained to drive as a 3 year old, and not ridden at all until the age of 6. This was on veterinarian's recommendations. He lived till the age of 34 years, and was put down due to complications of colic. He was healthy otherwise, and was never shod. He had regular hoof trims, and wore Easyboots. (Jan Griffiths).

The lipenzaners are almost exclusively bred in Austria and used for the Vienna riding school. They were famously rescued from the Nazi's. And the breed lived on. The Friesian breed comes from a small province in the Netherlands Friesland. It is one of the oldest breeds in the world going back to the middle ages where it was heavily sought after because it could carry a knight in full armor while remaining it's speed and ability. It is what is called a cold blood and it has a wonderful calm disposition. The Friesian breed has been under threat of extinction several times yet in Friesland it remains the farmhorse of choice. To keep the blood lines pure the stud book used to be closed and stud rights would be inherited. However since the breed almost died out they have become more lenient. Sadly this is now a reason you see a Friesian Quarter horse mix or worse. This is why the original stud book is in the Netherlands and has a Royal seal. The king Alexander of the Netherlands owns a few. And on the 3rd Tuesday in September in the Netherlands they pull the golden coach with Alexander and the Queen to open the the official year of parliament. The Frisian is a beautiful horse with a natural smooth gate kinda like driving in a Rolls Royce. They where bread to work on farms pulling ploughs an all around farm horse. But they became the ultimate in elegance, beauty and comfort. With a calm disposition. They were used by knights in war and play. They are more intelligent than the video maker. And yes they are worth all that money. They are popular in the movie industry. If you see a big black horse with a thick neck and long mane and tale it's probably a Frisian.
Yup! Well said! 😉 And ALL horses.... almost.... (Not Icelandic or Shetland horses); has Arabians FAR, FAR BACK in their ancestry. And... showing Shire horses, Holstainers etc, while talking about Gypsy.... Not cool! He also showed CLYDESDALES, whilst talking about Gypsy. I get so TIIIRED, whilst watching this... bleeuugh
Until you’ve loved a horse, a part of your soul is asleep. Horses are not just objects standing in a stall. They are alive. They bring life, radiate life, enhance life.
Funny you did not ask permission to use a clip of my Andalusian stallion Padrino at Liberty. That would be the courteous thing to do!!!!! Oh yes if you show a breed stick with that breed and don't bounce around other breeds. Apparently you also have no idea what some of these Quarter horses go for? You talked about the low end not the high end of 1/4 horses.
My wife is a lifelong horse person .Her best horse was actually a Mustang she adopted for a couple of hundred dollars .All horses have value it isn't about the cost of them but how you work and bond with them that matters in the long run .Sure there are far more expensive ,more elegant and sought after horses but none tougher than a wild horse you adopt ,patiently work with and train .Where other breeds would encounter coyotes or feral hogs in our area and want to bolt not this Mustang .The mare took it personally and took care of business Mustang style .She had my wife with her rifle as backup so the encounter was handled quite easily for her and her horse .It takes a high level of trust and training to handle these encounters safely for both horse and rider .The old mare finally passed at well over 30 years of age in her sleep but she was one hell of a horse despite her low cost at the beginning .For the record any child even toddlers cold ride this horse with no problem .She knew when to be tough and when to be gentle .
Ok, there are just so many things inaccurate in this video, and also, just because some people own theses breeds of horses doesn't mean they are rich people just "throwing their money around." Horse people aren't necessarily rich, and most horse people save up their money to buy a horse because a horse is something they really want.
No different, really, than people who spend a lot of money on a motorcycle, or boat, or jet-ski that they only use occasionally... like good weather, Summer weekends, or weekends in general... or people who spend a lot of money on classic cars that they only drive a couple of times each year... if then. Your machine won't love you... your horse might.
@@omg_its_ali I was adding MORE to your point... reinforcing it... with another point... reason... that people who own horses aren't necessarily rich... Like the guy who has a small bass boat to go fishing on the weekend, or rides a motorcycle when the weather isn't "too bad"... and so on. People see a "guy" who has a car and a motorcycle don't automatically think of that person as being rich... not unless they see OTHER indicators. Similarly, people who use mass-transit during their work weeks, but have cars for use on the weekends aren't automatically "accused" of being rich. For another thing, I know some actual working cowboys... and of course having a horse... and a horse-trailer, and a truck capable of pulling it is a NECESSARY tool of the trade, literally.
@@Nyet-Zdyes OK, thanks for informing me. I agree with the points that you are making, it is such a common misconception that horse owners are “rich” and it deeply frustrates me. I am glad to hear that you agree.
Now I own 3 mini horses. They are not dwarves; they are proportionate. I paid less than 300 dollars for my mare and gelding when they were yearlings. My mare is solid black, and 37 inches tall. The gelding is silver bay, 3 white socks, and a blaze. My mare's filly is also black, with 2 socks and a blaze. She cost me 200 dollars (stud fee). She is 7 months old, and is driving, but not pulling anything yet. She wears a harness hooked up to her mom's harness. I have fun driving them with a 2 wheeled sulky, and just started barrel racing ( yep, with the cart). They also jump, and do tricks. I love my minis, and they're spoiled rotten. (Jan Griffiths).
A friend of ours got one off the track for free. He's a gelding, and had a slight bowed tendon. He would have been sent to slaughter, no doubt. They're working on getting him sound. He's only 4 years old. Even if he dosen't recover, he has a permanent home. (Jan Griffiths).
If you're going to describe a animal, please use that actual horse when describing it. Often you're taking about one breed and showing photos of another breed
It was actually not very informative, the guy CLEARLY didn't do his research properly. for example, he was talking about Friesians and kept showing us a horse that was very clearly NOT a Friesian (it was an Arabian). His information didn't take lineage, age, training, health, riding discipline or conformation into account, which are HUGE factors in the value of a horse. They showed a heavy horse cross (probably a friesian cross) when talking about warmbloods. Said things like thoroughbreds are "horses for rich people" when an off-the-racetrack thoroughbred can literally cost as much as dirt. I'm not normally one to dislike videos but this one sucked.
Seems to be a little envious of those of us who do have horses. Most horse people are poor because of our love of horses. There are a lot worse things to spend your money on. Horses bring so much joy!
To be honest, I used to breed Thoroughbreds, Morgans, and a couple other breeds, and to be honest, Morgans sell for a hell of a lot cheaper than what their said to sell for online. It just depends on who the horse seller is honestly.
If you're going to own a horse of any kind just remember they can live 30 plus years, need hoof care or shoeing every 6 weeks, regular worming, vaccinations, tooth care (called floating) and training. They aren't cheep but they are rewarding and wonderful companion animals.
Not every equestrian is some millionaire and we don't just have money lying around and throw it at people whenever we want. Buying a horse isn't just some of the top decision that you randomly make but an investment and a well thought out one. So you can stop throwing words around.
I’ve petted, brushed or rode all these breeds for the exception of two (that French breed and the Lipizzaner). One was a $500,000 warmblood in this multimillionaire stable I did some weekend work at. She had special feed and her favourite blanket. The warmblood gelding at that stable was my favourite. Probably also $$$$, but he was such a sweet man. I still prefer my draft horses and quarter horses though.
Besides all the other inaccuracies of this video... Thoroughbreds, especially OTTBs are some of the cheapest of all horses. Like $0-1000. Their vet bills are the expensive part
IMO, thoroughbreds are almost ruined as a breed... over-bred for speed... and the desire (by breeders) for more and more speed caused fault after fault after fault to be bred into the breed... High-strung... expensive vet bills/maintenance... sheer stupidity... prone to colic... For those who are more familiar with dogs, it's like how they ended up breeding hip dysplasia into some breeds of dogs... or back problems into others... or breathing problems into others (while trying to breed for shorter and shorter snouts).
Hey, I just wanted to tell anyone watching this, especially that doesn't know a bunch about horses, first of all, there is a lot of wrong information in this video, second of all, there are so many reasons to spend thousands of dollars on a horse, mine being that they are my passion, I don't know what I would do without horses, also, many people who buy horses don't have a lot of money, but do it anyway and spend all their money on a horse because it is their passion, thats what I did. Plus, the more pure a horse is, usually means it will win more money at shows, compete better, be better tempered and be eligible for more things.
My horse might not be the fastest, or the fanciest or even most trained, she’s mine and I love her so I wouldn’t change her for the best horse in the world ❤️
If I am not mistaken, in the US the market for Arabian horses was at it's peak in the 80's and crashed horribly during the 90's because the tax laws changed (I think...) There were even rumors that a long time Arabian breeder even destroyed her own horses rather than sell them at dropped prices, but take that for what it's worth.
And my "Big Red" sired 137 foals. Most of them were warmbloods, and grade hunters/jumpers. Quite a few were from Clydesdale mares. He sired very few registered Thoroughbred foals. But all of his foals were very nice, and had great work ethic. His youngest, a 2008 filly, is still around. I see her from time to time, and she's been a mama a few times. (Jan Griffiths).
everyone here commenting shouldnt be horrible about it this man who has made the video spent his time on it how many hours do you think he spent making it? you shouldnt be negitive im voting this video is really good great job.
Totally enjoyed your video I raise quarter horses. But truly enjoyed your photographs of the others. And yes I enjoyed the blend even while you were talking about one breed and showing a picture of another.
OTTBs (off the track thoroughbreds) are commonly sold for a few hundred dollars because there are so many of them that the tracks just want to get rid of. Also oh my god equestrians aren't rich. Just look at some horse sale ads and you'll know how unrealistic these prices are.
When I was a child my only jumpers in Seattle were thoroughbreds. I was fifteen when the first warmbloods, Lippizaners, came. When we got Dutch warmbloods their breed was named along with the name of the horse and rider-around 2000. I am old, 74, and training horses for a drug treatment facility. I still love horses though I can't ride jumper anymore. I'm sad about it but the course at The Kentucky horse Park this year had my jaw on the ground. That was a killer course, with a higher than average number of falls. That's an automatic fail and a sorrowful walk back to the vet tent.
Hey put you words back.. we don’t buy expensive horses because we have money no no and no we buy them cause we love them you’ll never understand our feelings I don’t have enough money for a friesian horse also he is my dream horse and I’ll do anything to own one but still though no one buys a horse cause he have money ❤️🐴
Okay I have some things to say we (who is an average person with an average amount of money) we have a Dutch warm blood and it was only about 7,000$ witch is a good price for a horse
And I got my to of my quarters for 800 bucks, one was 30 years old and is 33 now, and the other was 10 years old! Her feet where really bad tho but we got them back to normal, and the most expensive was 1000
The Standard has a different gate. The right front and back legs are in since as are the left front and back. This makes for a VERY smooth ride. I was surprised it wasn't mentioned. Most horse breeds the front leg goes forward as the back leg goes back on the same side and vs.
I don’t think there’s anyone 8 years old or younger who watch this so I feel like adding that “like or else slender man will come out from under your bed” is very unnecessary
I have to disagree: Gypsy vanner is definetely not a horse for only "one purpose" (some dressage breeds maybe sometimes are). I had a tinker who was a medieval war horse, dzjigitovka horse, liberty horse, dressage horse, junping horse, western riding horse, working equittion horse, trail riding and hacking horse, trick/circus horse, tv-actor, foto modelling horse, comedy show actor, therapy horse, he was pulling the snowpow, drag, log sledge, sleigh AND all kinds of carriages and vagons, with two or four wheels, as well. Btw: I also have had an Andalusian, Friasian and a couple of other horses, and all have been able to be used for many purposes, if you treat them well - as any horse.
It's not only the horse that costs that amount of money, first you have to pay for the horse. Then find a place for it to be. If you don't have a stable at home you have to look for a yard to keep it at. You also need to pay for vets (which is way more expensive than having the vet for your dog.) AND you have to pay for bedding, feed and tack. A horse is extremely expensive to keep no matter the cost
I watched the video to see the horses. I was appalled by how much you whined about your bank account balance! If you really want change, read some books by Napoleon Hill.
As everyone else is complaining about you've got some misinformation. But also the prices are insanely in accurate. I bought my thoroughbred for $500 and my Andalusian for $1,500
Not all horses are even bought. I have an Arabian Warmblood cross I was given for free. Oh- And the reason the Quarter horse is called that is because they were used for drag racing before cars were a thing. They exceled in speed when raced a quarter of a mile.
You've got some clips showing horses that aren't the same breed you're talking about, nevertheless they are gorgeous

And all the people commenting how incorrect the video is? It literally just makes him more money because comments = engagement which = more ad money. Now that I'm thinking about it, he actually has a financial incentive to get things wrong, because people will comment to correct him and drive engagement.
calm down 😂 you ok mate?
The Arabian was genetically engineered? Omg it’s one of the oldest breeds 😂
I have a pure friesian lol
They are sweethearts, not only gorgeous. Bless their souls
I’ve owned many horses but THIS is one I really want
Hanoveraner from Spain?
Check your geography: Hannover (like Oldenburg) lies in Northern Germany!
(Andalusians are the famous Spanish horsebreed)

I have a Hanoverian and this annoyed me so much!
Me being a equestrian and knowing horses your basically saying horses that are well trained can go for a lot of money which can be any kind of horse
True… I’m 34 & have had horses my whole life (literally)
They are very trainable & love more than any other animal (IMO)
Ikr i have friends with thoroughbreds and they bought them for like 500-5000$
This is honestly hilarious 😂 I’m a equestrian of more then 6 years and also a horse owner
1.You showed Arabians as fresians
2.What is The photoshopped monstrosity at 1:42
3.Thoroughbreds only “field” is not just racing, you can find them in many different disciplines, they are extremely versatile
5. They practically give thoroughbreds away at auctions, and if no one buys them the get sent to slaughter
6. I have a Hanoverian. They are from Germany!!!!!! Not Spain!!!!
7. That is not how you pronounce Hanoverian!!!!!
8. You’re willing to triple check a fact about beer but not not any other fact
9. We’re not all rich, and we don’t just throw money around
10. This guy is shameless when asking for money
11. You are not a “high quality voice over artist” you don’t even do your research
12. You showed Arabs with mostly dished faces, this very bad for their breathing
13. I know many “average joes” with Arabs
14. Gypsys aren’t just driving horses
15. That “hair on their lower legs” is called feathers
16. 1500 - 4000 is not a lot for a horse, at all
17. a lot of the Morgan clips are actually American Saddlebreds, an entirely different breed
18. Quarter horses are quite cheap actually
19. This is literally just you talking about some horse breeds, not the most expensive
20. Please, please, try and do you research next time
Thank you!!!
Ok relax… the guy tried making a video…
I’m 34 & have had horses all my life… my family owns a 200+ acre horse farm in KY but you don’t see me making lists of things wrong with the video 😂
Be nice!
He was just trying!
I learned more from this comment then whole video thank you x
Yup! Well said! 😉
And ALL horses.... almost.... (Not Icelandic or Shetland horses); has Arabians FAR, FAR BACK in their ancestry.
And... showing Shire horses, Holstainers etc, while talking about Gypsy.... Not cool!
He also showed CLYDESDALES, whilst talking about Gypsy.
I get so TIIIRED, whilst watching this... bleeuugh

Friesians are warm bloods. So many mistakes from this guy. He has no desire for excellence. I knew that but watched anyway. I love horses.
To the 1 person reading this: *"Your* *cool* *and *adorable* *stay* *safe"*..
That made me feel special for a sec-
Until you’ve loved a horse, a part of your soul is asleep.
Right. One of my favorite horses is a quarter horse.
Funny how they also just ignore the comment and don’t even respond.
I feel bad for you 🥲
And he keeps "insulting" them...
He's obviously never paid any attention to cutting horses, reining events, etc.
@@Nyet-Zdyes I am trying to understand the point you are trying to make. Are you against me, or are you not?
(Jan Griffiths).
we bought my Thoroughbred ex race horse for $160 :) fresh off the track
That’s how I ended up with Storm. Standardbred from the track. He had no lope or gallop in him. He just trotted faster and faster....
@EVE Grizzy 160 dollars. thoroughbreds are really not that expensive if you know where to get one, especially a retiered race horse ;)
A friend of ours got one off the track for free. He's a gelding, and had a slight bowed tendon. He would have been sent to slaughter, no doubt. They're working on getting him sound. He's only 4 years old. Even if he dosen't recover, he has a permanent home. (Jan Griffiths).
Where was this? Hmmmm is this true!!
@@literallynoone5473 where. I would live to have one. I live those horses. Well, all horses
I couldn't leave this video fast enough!!! Some things cannot be unseen.
If you're going to describe a animal, please use that actual horse when describing it. Often you're taking
about one breed and showing photos of another breed
very informative.. right or wrong, the horses are beautiful and majestic!
.
yeah, if you ike inaccurate information, it's great.
0:51 you sure that’s a Fresien lol
😂😂😂
Seems to be a little envious of those of us who do have horses. Most horse people are poor because of our love of horses. There are a lot worse things to spend your money on. Horses bring so much joy!
To be honest, I used to breed Thoroughbreds, Morgans, and a couple other breeds, and to be honest, Morgans sell for a hell of a lot cheaper than what their said to sell for online. It just depends on who the horse seller is honestly.
What?! No Akhal Teke?! 😳 (Except for the thumbnail and the one you show right at the beginning with the Friesians)
If you're going to own a horse of any kind just remember they can live 30 plus years, need hoof care or shoeing every 6 weeks, regular worming, vaccinations, tooth care (called floating) and training. They aren't cheep but they are rewarding and wonderful companion animals.
Not all horses are just used for money there are best friends
Not every equestrian is some millionaire and we don't just have money lying around and throw it at people whenever we want. Buying a horse isn't just some of the top decision that you randomly make but an investment and a well thought out one. So you can stop throwing words around.
I’ve always wanted a freesian. When I saw one as a kid I fell in love.
Drafts are the best!
You’ve seen a Friesian ???
I want ine so bad… I’ve owned so many but never even see one in person… except at shows but it’s not like up close
You’ve done an excellent job with this video. I’m impressed!
I know a guy who buys retired thorough breds (generally 4-5 years old) turns them into phenomenal ranch horses then sells them as ranch horses 😂
Black horses are just the most elite
Besides all the other inaccuracies of this video... Thoroughbreds, especially OTTBs are some of the cheapest of all horses. Like $0-1000. Their vet bills are the expensive part
They can be, but racing ones can go to the millions.
Excellent enjoyed the breakdown of the breeds and their abilities!
They are the most beautiful animal in creation. Gods finest work!

Have I found my relative?!
Sistah is that uuu
I’m fron the UK and paid the equivalent of $1800 for my fresian and $200 for my thoroughbred? Not rare here you can’t give them away!
Ya, neither are rare- and a lot aren't expensive!
Love this video all of them are beautiful!
15:34 in I'm thoroughly disgusted with the lack of research that went into this video.
And the fact that he pronounced, "Lipizzaner" three different ways--all of them wrong.
He has no desire to do a good job. Half assed is plenty good enough.
Hello how are you doing
Totally enjoyed your video I raise quarter horses. But truly enjoyed your photographs of the others. And yes I enjoyed the blend even while you were talking about one breed and showing a picture of another.
OTTBs (off the track thoroughbreds) are commonly sold for a few hundred dollars because there are so many of them that the tracks just want to get rid of. Also oh my god equestrians aren't rich. Just look at some horse sale ads and you'll know how unrealistic these prices are.
Love hearing someone with 2.4 mil subscribers say things like “bc we all have that kinda money” bc you’re definitely on the same pay grade as me
When I was a child my only jumpers in Seattle were thoroughbreds. That's an automatic fail and a sorrowful walk back to the vet tent.
i just got an add where it said Crunching the candy bar " MADE OUR BREAK UP EASY" Man: " IM IN THE FRIEND ZONE" -THUMBS-UP SMILING-
Hey put you words back.. we don’t buy expensive horses because we have money no no and no we buy them cause we love them you’ll never understand our feelings I don’t have enough money for a friesian horse also he is my dream horse and I’ll do anything to own one but still though no one buys a horse cause he have money ❤️🐴

Okay I have some things to say we (who is an average person with an average amount of money) we have a Dutch warm blood and it was only about 7,000$ witch is a good price for a horse
I didn't know you could turn a Fresian into an Arabian. Amazing.
Hello how are you doing
This person- hmmm. Looks like the wrong breed **looking at black Arabian**
Also this person.- hmmmm I’m sure the horsey people won’t notice

If you don’t do the research or know you material, you stuff the whole video, can’t trust you so call information, you don’t know your topic.
I've learned too many ways to describe how expensive something is
I don’t think there’s anyone 8 years old or younger who watch this so I feel like adding that “like or else slender man will come out from under your bed” is very unnecessary
OMG.. no kidding!
Wow, amazing cool horses
I din't see headless horseman from sleepy hollow😂😂ooh & Zorro
Mr Ed either. 😕🤣
🤣😂🤣😂
Half of your Friesians were arabians, and a single Akhal Teke. I own both, as well as shires.
0:50 thats an arabian lol not a friesian
Beautiful horses and I love to have a beautiful horses
I watched the video to see the horses. I was appalled by how much you whined about your bank account balance!
If you really want change, read some books by Napoleon Hill.
As everyone else is complaining about you've got some misinformation.
But also the prices are insanely in accurate. I bought my thoroughbred for $500 and my Andalusian for $1,500
the black Arabian in the friesian part i'm dying lol
Not all horses are even bought. I have an Arabian Warmblood cross I was given for free. Oh- And the reason the Quarter horse is called that is because they were used for drag racing before cars were a thing. They exceled in speed when raced a quarter of a mile.
Hello how are you doing
Buying the horse is the cheap part. Then it’s the food and vetting!
