  • This is the second entry to Laythe Legacies where I de-orbit a new Living Quarter Rover. I have to tackle some issues in order to park it at the existing surface station.

I love your designs and your missions!
I once did a mission to bring a small asteroid into Kerbin orbit, it was pretty fun and I made it! Then I wanted to see what the largest comet would look like right at the edge of the Kerbin sphere of influence, so I did all the processes to find the comet, build a ship with a tooooon of reaction wheels, engines, fuel, drills, and I finally Rendevous with the comet, latched the main ship, deployed drills, I brought a bunch of tug ships docked that I also deployed, aligned perfectly, and then I started plotting my way back and when the count was just right... I activated everything!!! ...the comet didn't move an inch. Well, at that point I thought about it and decided to, well cheat just to see how it would look like in orbit... and it was *ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!!!!* I would advise everyone to try it, especially since KSP 1 will soon give way to KSP 2, it is a sight to behold having that absolutely COLOSSAL COMA waaay longer than the orbit of Minmus welcoming your ships when they are returning HOME from all those missions, and it was also just beautiful to watch it fill the sky at night from the Kerbal Space Center main runway. Besides you can use it as a secondary refueling station before you leave for longer missions!

Have you posted a picture online, like on Reddit? I’d love to see that! I think comets are massive, so it would have required a lot of fuel and high thrust engines to move it reasonably.

@@TEauxFTW Yeah! So, I never really posted anything on Reddit before, so I had to create an account and figure out how to do it but I think I've got it... I'm not sure if YT will let me paste the link here, so I'm replying to this message again with it, hope it works!

    Pretty neat series actually
I am also curious into the building, so maybe if you can make a building timelapse of the vehicles you use? Together with the launch/transfer to Laythe
Definitely I am subbed and ready to watch part #3 :D

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, I usually forgot to record until after I’ve made something useful. I will try to make more videos showing the construction.
