This is my winning run on the Ride on King Trial in update 7 of Snowrunner where you have to hit 5 spots in a very tight time limit. The route we took is not the route you would think to take but it works if your careful.

This is by far the stupidest, hardest, most infuriating mission. EVER in this game. I see why you get the joker bobblehead cuz you'll be nuts after beating this trial!
Mad props bro for finding this little 'alternate' route, my god I tried sooooo many times!!! I tried their route only to flip 20 seconds in.
Once I mastered the landing on your route, then finding the proper path through the trees, it got easier time after time. Throwing the truck into low+ on some rocky sections helped eliminate bounce. I didnt feel like I was going faster but it took seconds off through some areas..
Good point time in the air is usually lost time.

This trial is torture. Even trying your way, I always lack some time right before reaching the antenna, and that's when I don't lose 2minutes trying to reach the house. 100% of the time, the truck get wrecked during the fall and end on the roof.
Trying this trail in the morning put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day.

Indeed, I think I got to the bridge also at my best attempt going the obvious route. When I saw you had to double back I was like WTH that's like an extra 30 sec on a good run. Before I got to the bridge I thought it was something you could hit on your run to the house. That got me to thinking there might be a different route that would not require you to double back...

thanks for this. I had thought of something like this but I appreciated your route. 3rd attempt (this method) made it to the bottom of the antenna hill with almost 3 minutes. Got stuck on a rock and failed. Just about rage quit.
oh im so damn thanks for you :D personally falling the cliff was the hardest part.. cut some corners and ended with 55 secs left :) this video helped me a lot.. ofc i did not rolled anythere.

Pretty much just restart if you don’t land the 1st drop but you need to get out of those trees within the 1st 70-80 seconds for sure or you’re done
This was the first thing I did when I got snow runner. Almost made me quit. Never gone back to it
Are you guys using the map and setting waypoints to navigate? How in the heck would you NOT get lost? This seems unreasonably difficult to me.
The minute you look at the map the timer starts lol yeah it just takes practice to find your way around unfortunately.
After I failed several times before, I got it with 1:22 min left. The good thing is, you'll get better with every try. Thanks for the video!

so im no off road king but i saw right away when i tried this that the truck was like riding on ice and had no traction even on dirt!! just seems unrealistic and tires seem too inflated

I stayed off searching this until I did it... Glad I see everyone found it impossible., I did it after maybe 100 attempts, going other way, with about 30 seconds to spare.
18 months in and still no closer to completing this. Ridiculously almost impossible mission, with a truck that rolls when it hits a leaf. Many times I’ve tried to get up to the antenna but cannot get ANY traction. Given up with this now.
after about 1 or 2 hours of total playtime I have tried this challenged and completed it the intended way (well, I took 1 shortcut after crossing the 1st bridge - I just climbed over the rocks and jumped down) and had done it after trying for 2 or 3 hours. It really is not impossible, I also had like more than a minute remaining..
The only obvious way that I can see is crossing that slip and slide rock face and I tried to winching myself to a tree which turned out to be me dangling like a yo-yo lol
Edit and yes Unfortunately the glitches are still there. Thought I’d take advantage of cyber Monday bought all the expansions for the hunter call of the wild at half off Ha I love being patient. Been waiting five months to buy those maps I refuse to pay full price LOL
I did everything, but for some reason the timer stops 8 seconds before the actual time ends. This enfuriated me so much. I was right in front of the last checkpoint and had 8 seconds, but the game decided that the time had run out
thx for the tip, man) I did it in 2 attempts really - except I launched from the cliff at the antenna - saved a lot of time)
Great to hear, glad you found another strategy that worked good also. Just 2 try's i'm wish it was that easy for me.
@@FarmerKlein I kind of tried a lot to go the way u supposed to go... but kept running out of time... All of my skills and tricks did not seem to get me far on that stupid jalopy. So first I thought, well, it really means nothing to me - completing this trial, u have to master that stupid truck rather then the trial itself - but then I tried it your way) and it worked)
@@MisterRusky Exactly I struggled going the 'obvious' route during a live stream and just said for get it the bobble head isn't worth it. Then I got thinking afterwards maybe there was an alternate route that was not so obvious that could work. I tried it a few times and had decent success and just needed to get lucky on the amount of damage and getting thru the trees with little difficulty then it was just practice at a few other areas like the bridge rocks.

I went right the 1st time. Fail. Went this way the 2nd and quit, I though NO WAY you just hurle your truck off a cliff... Now I feel stupid. I wanna see a dev do it cuz truck chuckin ain't right.

This was my introduction to Snowrunner coming straight from Mudrunner... I hope this isn't a sign for the way the rest of the game is lol
The main game is fun, this trial was just hard.
Honestly this way didn't work for me. The truck doent even wanna over the rocks to come down the hill in the first place.

I would always get fucking stuck at the hill to the antenna. It always seems to come down to pure luck.
I swear to god, the developers have never done this the legit way in only ten minutes.
Why i cannot use this thing in normal singleplayer of snowrunner i mean i cleared that challenge too at the public test edition. But in the normal singleplayer its not available the game tells me that i have to clear scout king challenge.

Not bragging but went 2 times the bridge way looked this up and did it 4 times your way and the last time with minimal damage finished with 1:28 left on the clock all in about an hours time. 😎😎

I just bought this game and I'm starting to think I wasted my money this mission is insanely hard and it's the first one I've played
These are not erally intended for the beginner best to get well aquanted with the game using the carrier path and work your way thru the various regions first.
Got the full release of trails and guess what. The map glitches are still there lol. What a shame giving how long it took them to release it

Those clip glitches do get annoying but I love this game so much!

Farmer Klein the 2 times it actually worked when you had used up 45 seconds I already lost 2 whole minutes somehow 🙄. This trial has all to quickly rekindled the growing dislike I forgot I had for this game 😒
All I can say is to leave the trial and come back another day. You can try the other way with the bridges but I cant see that working in the time allowed given the direction you are coming from you would have to double back at the bridge losing valuable time.
Farmer Klein yea going the way they give you to go is actually impossible, by the time you get to the 2nd point you’ve got around 3 minutes left. Honestly I’m just over this game, it’s been half assed since the beginning with unfinished products, bugs and glitches and now trials that aren’t even hard in a fun way they’re just hard because they they gave you shit equipment or an unrealistic time limit. Oh how I miss the mudrunner days
It took me literally 100's of times over a few nights over several hours apiece. I learned to bail off the cliff right as I start sliding. I figured you have about a 80% chance of rolling or totaling the truck. If I didnt hit the house checkpoint at the 8 minute mark or the bridge CP by the 6 minute mark, youre done. The damn level is beatable, just keep trying! I rage quit a few times

Honestly, this challenge is insane, you can't do it the "right" way... Even when I mastered the control of the tire slip to get early turn ins, quick starts with switching through low and not auto, high gears on rock section, 2nd and 3rd bridge on low, and even reversing from river checkpoint..always ran out of time there. It's the biggest f*ck you from devs
Omg. I just bought this game after playing mudrunner a bit and I’m asking for a refund. This is challenge 1? You can’t see anything 1/2 the time. Step 1 Ignore directions and drive off a cliff. That’s all the proof I need to know this game will give me a tumor. Mudrunner was free with premium, and I figured they must have fixed this camera crap.
What a shame, the game has awesome potential.
This Trial sucks ass!!! They could have at least given us a truck capable of doing it. This is the worst scout in the game, and all of the reasons I sold it are totally evident in this trial. It bounces all over the place, can't steer worth a damn, and they saddle it with tires that act like they have grease on them.
Spoiler alert. In full release version glitches are STILL THERE which is unacceptable. Taking for this 70$ with season while the game is unfinished it's a SHAME and HOAX. I'm going back to Mudrunner.
Mud runner was so good even it was just delivering logs but when investor put their money and tried to make it big they sucked at it and ruined the game
