Having a sword instead of pistol, and maybe some powered big sword for support weapon would be very cool. Underground missions sound a bit sus, cause you know, stratagems need sky.
I would like to see ship upgrade modules that we unlock to allow our stratagems to "bore" through the earth as well as a slew of unique underground stratagems that would be more beneficial for undergound environments than above. The possibility of running through caverns or undergound bunkers being chased by hords of bugs and robots jumping over obstacles and possibly being cornered sounds very exciting.
Underground maps would be a coding nightmare with this game. Aside from that the game isn't optimized for combat in environments with intricate geometry, so I highly doubt we would ever have gameplay in cities or urban environments. Imagine multilayered buildings that have to be traversable, meaning textured and designed inside and out. Bugs would need to be coded to adjust movement, the engine would have to calculate much more complex damage models in real-time with this amount of stratagems. With this level of graphical fidelity and the sheer number of enemies, I don't think city maps are feasible at all. I definitely would like melee options though. That, and at least one more movement based stratagem like the jetpack. Personally a hoverboard that results in 1.5 movement speed would be sick, and not that hard to code.
yes!!!! Bring back a uniquie style to the Halo energy sword, completely different of course, but as a tribute to the highly admired game that Hell Divers 2 reminds a lot of us of.
The most frustrating thing i would like to see changed is arena defence mission. It just doesnt make sense. You dont have any time before enemies spawn, they spawn uncontrolled and unpredicted 360 degrees around you. And you have 0 space to dodge attacks or your stratagems. Total BS. And while i'm able to finish it by constantly redeploying it doesn't feel right.
We are Helldivers, we are meant to be surrounded. Jokes aside, these missions are indeed a slaughter. Sometimes they can’t even be won through conventional means, only by sitting on top of nearby cliffs, out of enemy reach.
I'm not playing until something is said/done about that CM. What she said is inexcusable and ruined all the goodwill Arrowhead had. Unless they act, the name of their studio will be all too ironic.
Helldivers isn't the CM's game. If you enjoy the game, don't let something somebody said ruin it for you, and if you dislike the game, just don't play it.
I wish for city maps like in the first game. Just one big Illuminate city.

Unless they borrow a page from DRG’s book.
Crossover, anyone?

Remember turning your firearm into a club is faster than reloading.

fuck a sword, just give me a damn chainsaw!
I would love for urban combat

It would be nice if we could get some type of remote explosives like C4 that you can place to destroy things or ambush enemies.
hd1 had a support stratagem like that. im still waiting for it.
I'm down for melee weapons on a mech but aside from maybe bayonet as a last ditch use add on I'm not a massive fan of the idea.
They call him the iron fist of liberty, May we all get The sword of democracy!
Make it a lattice of 3d honeycombes
Melees would be sick, but im going to touch ppl asking for Katanas.
This excites me being the one who usually has the most melee kills.
good need better weapons against the bots and bugs that get close fast
Sabers were in the original
I just want a bayonet.
