Creative, kind, loved animals, hilariously witty. Never forgot his scouse working class roots. Never looked down on anyone, as soon as anyone said he was a sweet person he’d get embarrassed, he didn’t want attention for it. Wanted all the focus on the animals he so adored. He made being a drag queen mainstream and was a pioneer in LGBT visibility in British media. He even converted my WW2 era grandparents into accepting gay people. Rest in peace, we will miss you so much. Few people will have the same ability to be like you, one of a kind !
Absolutely gutted to hear Paul has passed. Loved Lily Savage so much and his devotion to animals was second to none. Thank you for making me laugh and cty Paul, I'm truly heartbroken. RIP you legend! 😢
When i arrived to study in the North of England, i found it quite difficult to understand the accent. I challenged myself by listening to lily and understand her. That really helped with my comprehension.
