iirc sharlayan’s fake window is actually a real window that opens in cutscenes (and it’s where estinien exits out of if you choose to talk with him in msq) but for some weird reason they decided to close it in normal gameplay lol

Can you rate the floor of every trial boss? nothing else but the floor, honestly ignore everything else in the room, even the fight. I'm talking just the ground you walk on, the platform, terrain... FLOOR. Floor Ratings.
Kugane is a pretty cool city but feels very underused even during Stormblood’s MSQ - I visited it more during the gathering/crafting quests than during the story itself. That’s not even mentioning Ala Mhigo with two “kind-of” main cities and not a single one of them really memorable.

Yeah, Ul’dah is the most decorated and comfy of all ARR inns, I always end up using it when leveling in these zones - can’t stand Gridania and Limsa Lominsans doing pirate cosplay is endlessly irritating
I think the Kugane inn room is so forgotten cause all the other ones have a bunch of quests and stuff in or around them, but Kugane’s is only used for the SB Dragoon questline. Ishgard inn has the the Dark Knight quests, Fisher quests, Miner quests, the hunt board, the hunt vendors, and is used a few times in the MSQ. Crystarium inn is Crystarium inn, enough said. Sharlayan inn basically became the MSQ hub for the EW patch quests. I feel like the Tulliyollal inn will be kinda forgotten too even with how nice the room itself is unless they put more Stuff To Do near it unfortunately
I don’t remember the Ishgard inn being used in the MSQ, did they change something? I didn’t know it existed until after finishing Shadowbringers. I assumed the Fortemps Manor was supposed to be it all this time haha (which it really should have been ngl)

you should rate every bar/pub in XIV i'm sure there's tons between the hub cities and the random ones in the wild like Buscarron's Druthers. Some of my personal faves are in the fourth zone in Dawntrail, the one in Twine and the classic Beehive in Eulmore.
Isn't Ishgard on a big cliff? We have to cross a huge bridge to get in after all (RIP STEPS OF FAITH ROULETTE) so I always figured the window just opens out into the cliff face
Limsa I was always wondering what is with all the lalafel doors? the sharlyan is the greatest room for a shut-in that being said though something about sleeping with hoards of crystals seems like a bad idea we saw what happened to greg when he was carrying crystal and thinking of his partner. I've yet to see the dawntrail inn but my top 3 is the crystarium, old sharlayan inn, and the HW one. Also I think all the ARR ones are based out of the Adventurer's guild for each city.
It must be remembered, however, that the rooms in Gridania, Limsa, Ul'Dah, and Ishgard were designed with "PS3 limitations" as a detrimental factor. :P

Crystarium gives you a furnished studio apartment. The only thing missing is a baffroom.
The Kugane Inn, is also located right to a huge hot spring, with huge pools hot soothing mineral waters for any adventurers to relax in.

Limsa is the dungeon, not uldah. Limsa doesn't even give you a library and is just pure stone. It is boring and bland
