It's my theory that this new squad of guys that Broly shows up with may in fact be Cooler's people, and that he's just been out there in space, conquering away and biding his time, waiting for his weapon(Broly) to be ready.
As disappointing as it is to get no dramatic finishes and one sided character interaction, I really like how some of these quotes turned out. Especially with Beerus. One victory and he goes from cowering in fear to thinking he’s the strongest in existence. I don’t think Frieza was even that arrogant!

I really like that Android 17 is just a chill dude fighting for what he believes in. He doesn't really feel like a villain with his ranger shtick going on from Super.
No dramatic finish but yamcha can get a made up dramatic finish but broly and cooler can't get one heack even base goku has dramatic finish against freeza with the spirit bomb and we all know the spirit bomb didn't kill him
