I have found if you really yank that popping cork hard and make a lotta noise you will attract more fish. It took me awhile to figure this out but don't be afraid to make too much noise as it seems to even bring in the bigger reds and snook sometimes. Good luck!!😎
Gotta work the shrimp way slower. Shrimp don't move very fast. Just cast out, let it slowly sink to the bottom, then very slowly reel in. It's not a paddle tail, no need to jig it at all. Usually I have a fish on before it even hits bottom.
Question i want to ask. I always see you use light braid but always go heaver on the fluro. Is there a reason why. “Fresh water fisher here”. Thanks for any info.
I use lighter braid because I can then fit more line on my spool and also cast baits further. Since I do this, I go heavier on the leader to match the species and size of fish I'm going after. Surrounding structure and water clarity also affects what size leader I use
Unfortunately, there was only one video this time because it was such a short trip. However, I will definitely be back sooner than later because that place was awesome! I'm also planning other camping/fishing trips for the near future so keep an eye out for those
I have a 36v Minn Kota 72" 112 lb thrust with iPilot, but I'm not sure what exact batteries I have. I just dropped my boat off for it's 100 hr service so when I get it back I can check and let you know
The trout bite has been good lately. Try targeting them on grass flats, especially ones that have deeper pot holes. Small swimbaits like the D.O.A. C.A.L. or Shrimp lures work the best for me. If you also fish those baits around mangroves, creeks, or oyster bars, you could pick up some redfish and snook too
Unfortunately I don't off the top of my head. I would do a google search for fishing tackle rentals around the area you're gonna be at. Maybe there's a local tackle shop that'll let you rent some gear
Sucks that you can't keep trout, snook or redfish! We are killing it in the NE Fla on all species of fish! Go North of the Pasco/Hernando line and go rip some lips!!!
@@teamchunkerz I'm sure I would get kicked out or possibly arrested for trespassing. People are really prickly about people fishing in ponds near their homes...
I do that when handling a speckled trout because they have slime on their body that protects them from parasites and diseases. If you touch them with dry hands, then that removes a lot of the fish's slime and puts the fish at risk. The majority of fish people catch have this slime, but speckled trout are especially fragile. Wetting your hands greatly reduces the amount of slime removed when handling them. That's why you should wet your hands before handling a trout or try not touching them at all if possible
Your content quality is way up there with the big named TH-camrs. No doubt about it this channel will explode this year. Been here since 2k Subs.
Really cool looking lure. I can't wait for spring fishing here in the Midwest

I'll give that a shot. I just need to use it more often so I can gain some confidence with it
Brent Schirmer yea man it takes a little while to get comfortable but once you do it's pretty deadly😎
Absolutely bro! Caught a monster jack today on a popping cork and vudu shrimp and hooked up to plenty of little snook
DOA lures are the number one in my tackle bag. The shrimp under a Popping cork is awesome in cold water. This time of the year
dennyjr71 amen brother
All the videos are amazing and I can’t wait for more camping too
I use to fish a small pin fish under the poppin cork works great i fish the cottee river just north of the anclote. I enjoy your vids
He fishing has been tough the last few days. The weather has a lot to do with it. Just got to keep grinding it out.
Been real windy down by me in Ruskin, fishing has slowed down. Nice video
This is a hard working angler here. Keep doing it broski.
I've never had luck on the DOA shrimp. I know a guy that uses the vudu shrimp constantly.
This vid just came out today and j just arrived in Tampa from Michigan
Vudu shrimp under popping cork is deadly
Great lil video 👌🏼
Love the boat vids

I can’t catch SH** with these things. I’ve tried every color. Do you use some kind of scent on it?
It would have been better to have you explain how to work them both. Such as when to twitch and pause.
Great video as usual. Way to power through. Keep this between me and you but have you ever tried that DOA shrimp texas-rigged backwards
Yes I have. It's a great technique when fishing around mangrove roots so you don't get snagged, or areas with really thick grass
Good stuff
Maybe slow but still enjoyable Brent. Beats working don't it?

We need to go fishing 😂
Is part 2 Everglades coming out soon? Really enjoyed it.

Brent Schirmer okay. If you ever make it to SW Florida (west coast) would love take your too some snook spots.
Hey Brent love you videos I was wondering what trolling motor an Batterys are you using on your boat

Chartreuse is the juice. Give it a shot
I’m coming to Tampa bay this week any tips? Great vid

Ancient Chinese proverb says one can not fight the wind. Only let it pass..... but florida men say fuck that wind. Are you challenging me?
And keep up the good work buddy 🤘👍👍

No wind sound. Good camera
You should fish for bass soon because prespawn bite in Tampa for largemouth rn is 👌🏻🔥
Where do you fish for bass in Tampa. I’m in Clearwater and haven’t had much luck. Thanks
Brian Jones I live in the Seminole area and I fish ponds, usually golf courses. Bass are everywhere
@@teamchunkerz I'm sure I would get kicked out or possibly arrested for trespassing. People are really prickly about people fishing in ponds near their homes...
Brian Jones they are, but sometimes you just have to send it 👌🏻
Hey I’m a new fisher and before you pick up the fish why do you say gotta wet your hand

Y'all's waters remind me of Jacksonville there chocolate milk
It's 100% chocolate milk right now with all the wind. Give it a couple days of nice weather and it'll be back to clear
@@SeeYaDude dang I wish it were the same here it's always chocolate but we make it work
U call those cast horrible I would be in the docks every cast
why don’t you keep the fish
Go up to the power plant
