For the ladyfish, if you cut them up and throw them out, youll get hits from snook and reds. Ladyfish are great bait for snook and reds, especially for big reds and big snook.
@@SeeYaDude Do you think you could do a video on fishing rigs (what they catch how to tie them when you should fish them ) and affordable fishing gear.
@@vortexgaming8245 Hey Vortex. I have a pretty affordable setup that has landed me a juvenile tarpon, big reds, big snook, tons of trout, jacks, etc. I bought a 7 foot medium action 2 piece Shakespear Ugly Stik used for bass fishing. I have a 4000 series Okuma Trio with 20 pound braid by suffix performance yellow hi-vis. Yeah, the snook didn't care about the color of my braid. I use 20 lb suffix fluorocarbon leader, about 3-4 feet with a uni to uni knot connecting both. This part matters a lot. Your fluorocarbon leader, if too short or too heavy, can cause you to lose fish. If the water is really really clear, heavy fluoro leader, like 30, 40, and 50, can be seen by the snook. So, I have a happy medium of 20#. I have brought in some good sized snook and reds with 20# leader. You have to know how to fight these fish. The easiest way to fish is with a clacker bobber with 30-40# fluoro leader and a 2/0 or 3/0 circle hook and use cut bait that you caught near the area you are fishing. Chum the area with cut bait, or live as done in this video, and throw out the bobber. When the bobber goes down and stays down, start reeling. DO NOT PULL. Circle hooks snag the corner of the mouth of w/e fish ate your bait. J hooks can be pulled cuz that's how tehy get set. There's videos on how circle hooks work here on the youtubez. Tight lines!
I did a walkthrough of my boat when I first got it, here's the link if you wanna check it out: th-cam.com/video/mkXD9I2eWcs/w-d-xo.html And I'll keep that in mind for future video ideas
Can you please let me know the location that you were fishing on that day ? I’m new in Tampa bay and i’m Trying to find good spots for snooks , reds , grouper and sharks if you would please , let me know thanks fishing off shore / in shore !
What area are you fishing? I’ve been fishing cockroach area for a few years and can only seem to find trout and snook. Just found some tripletail a few weeks ago also
What weight line? mono ? and what weight of leader. I would love to see some more technical info on some fishing channels. It's boring just watching someone catch fish. Show us exactly how you catch them.
Redfish, snook, and speckled trout seasons are completely closed around the Tampa area until May 2021 to let the populations recover from a bad red tide we had in 2018
Hit those mangrove lines with some topwaters early in the morning guarantee they will crush it. I've been on a consistent bite not far from where you are
@@SeeYaDude You're in for a blast. Try a spook jr red/white it's been super productive. Also let me know if you need a fishing buddy I'm free on the weekends 👊

I hate how easy you make fishing look. Good video
"Please eat this" Love it! What all us say!
I always go for the classic “quit playing with your food and eat it!”
Nice day on the water.
Another great video Brent!!!,
On the left coast, you won't start seeing Frigates until you're south of the B at least to Loreto, BC = 26 degrees N, same as Tampa
Caught my PB snook off that island. Haven't been there in 15 years.
Another awesome video Brent . Love seeing the blue hue on them spotted drum and the yellow fan of the line siders!
gotta take me out by Dunedin!!! i live in clearwater and would love to do some fishing. Maybe link up for a big snook. honeymoon been good
wow heck of an island to be fishing off of
I’m out of Tampa bay also. Gonna pick up a sportsman autopilot. Let me know if you ever want to link up!
Greenbacks = threadfins. Pilchards = scaled sardines = white bait...
Sick brooo
Nice video I personally don’t use greenbacks because they die so quickly
Do you think you could make any more videos for beginner saltwater anglers, great video as always.
Sure! What topics do you think I should cover?

Great videos, just subscribed. Will you consider doing a video about your boat and setup with everything you keep on it for fishing? Thanks

Cool video 👍
What’s the power on the trolling motor? And do you ever use Zmanns soft plastics?
It's a 112 and I have used them in the past, but I don't really use them consistently

You cast like a pro golfer...jesus
Let me know when you wanna catch some snook I’m on them in cockroach almost a guaranteed 50+ a day and I got a boat 👍🏼
Deer lord! Your finding them in the mangroves in cockroach bay?
kyle fenton last Thursday caught over 50 so yessir 😂
What area are you fishing? I’ve been fishing cockroach area for a few years and can only seem to find trout and snook. Just found some tripletail a few weeks ago also
Where are you fishing in this clip?
Is that reel the 4000 or 3000 model?
4000
What did you do with the 2 pinfish at 0:08?
What weight line? mono ?
and what weight of leader.

nice video.
What sizes net do you use
I have two nets, an 8 foot and a 10 foot. In this video I was using my 8 foot net
do you eat those red fish at all? I have not seen a catch and cook red fish from you. Just wondering. Thanks
Redfish, snook, and speckled trout seasons are completely closed around the Tampa area until May 2021 to let the populations recover from a bad red tide we had in 2018
But can you eat fish like redfish, snook and trout from your local area? Is it safe to do so (if you were in the season)? Thanks
Yup, it's safe here 👍
noice
Dunedin and 3 rooker area?
For a 4000 reel would a medium rod or a medium heavy rod be good.
I'd recommend a medium action rod for a 4000
Brent Schirmer would it have enough power for maybe bigger reds like 30in
Well I’ve seen you bring them in so
Do a cast net video
Man I can catch 200 menhaden in a cast, but my 7’ net has 3/8” mesh. Christmas treed every single cast...
You on tbfc?
No I'm not
nice money casting
Btw I loved this video and just subscribed can you please tell me the location you were at?

Thanks man, that would be so sick! I still haven't caught a red or snook on topwater before. That's gonna be my mission next week for sure

I know more about fishing then this young man. A can of cat food in a stocking tied on a line will bring your bait to you.
Why your mouth is like that, just like the other guy with the lisp
Why are you an asshole? He’s making good content take the shit posting elsewhere
