this VCR is from 1998
Great Quality,
Super fast rewinding and fastforward

I cant check all the features because they lost the remote for it. but this is a very good VCR, panasonic made the best VCRs
The best vhs player in the world
As a small child, my parents had a panasonic vcr in the living room, and one in their bedroom, and they always sounded the same, even this one sounds like them. Last year I bought two panasonic vcr's from goodwill. They both worked but one had awsome features with a crappy wrecked head drum, and the other was very basic with a great head drum. I swapped the insides of the two and now have one great panasonic vcr.
This looks pretty good on an old CRT even without S-video

I had an identical model back in the day - don’t see many around these days, but I’m trying to find one to fix up and use with my remaining VHS collection. A lot of the high-end VCRs are inexpensive now, but I guess nostalgia’s a powerful influencer, so I’ll keep looking for one of these.
The vcr is great stores start selling vcr again and VHS tapes
@wnyet1987 the sound quality is not really muffled, its not as good as my HIFI, but the picture is not as good as the heads are worn out, the picture shakes especially at the top, so I use the 2003 one
@cameron20101000 I record with VHS, and I watch what ever the movie is on, with DVDs I watch on the computer, with VHS I watch on my Panasonic, its a very nice VCR. with VCR you can eject the tape when its recording, and when you put it back and record again it will continue. On DVD you would have to start over
I miss VHS tapes :(
@wnyet1987 yes I have seen a few the quality is pretty good for the age of there, I have some videos I want to transfer to DVD to preserve it. what would be the best converter for this?

@KyFriedPlatypus I really like these tapes, and I plan to keep all the VHS tapes I have, I had just ordered a movie from ebay today its on a VHS, I have also ordered a VCR on ebay and got it in the mail last friday, I miss the days when everyone used VHS.
i saw a panasonic omnivision tv vcr combo and it had the same rewind sound as this standalone unit and also my rca vr605hf vcr has a same sounding motor with out the jet sound more of a older vcr sound

If you hook up vcr with it's av output to your tv av in you will get stereo sound
@wnyet1987 I have this kind and a newer panasonic VCR with HIFI, the quality is very good even with old tapes
i've heard that when the picture shows on the tv and you fastfoward, it damages the tape. is this true?
@AressiYashiroB I dont remember how it works, but I somehow got it to sync with the cable TV time, but I dont know how, it just got like that some how
I noticed that Phillips DVD/VCR model you have. I have that exact same model. Was it from 2006 or 2007?

All NEWER Quasar VCRs are just rebadged Panasonics.

I have to purchase a new one. They sell dvd player with it only and very limited if purchased in the stores.

I have a Panasonic Omnivision PV-8661 VCR.
It Died ON 1/20/2020 WHEN I TRIED TO CLEAN THE INDISE OF THE HEADS AND ITS DEAD!!!!!! I CRIED HARD WHEN IT BROKE!!!
I ordered the Rca VR612HF vcr off ebay and i came last Thursday and it works great! Fun fact: TylerTristar2IsBack had that same vcr but the play pause button broke off so he threw it out in 2018 but it still worked despite that.
