Johnny has become his father. Sometimes when a parent is absent from the home children grow to resent the parent that was present and form a halo effect for the absent parent. It’s really hard to believe MAFS does as thorough psychological evaluations as they claim. Most of the people matched need therapy more than marriage.

Well knowing that Micheala full on lied about the way she handles conflict, I'm wondering just how honest any of them are going in? With the exception of Myrla they all are showing different sides than they presented at the wedding and likely in their interviews.

I truly couldn't believe how this girl just blatantly LIED. Lied like a rug on the floor. "He has no evidence of explosive behavior." Miss ma'am, are you aware this is a nationally syndicated show?? I'm not happy with either of their behavior (M&Z), was it just me or did it seem like Dr. Pepper didn't know what happened?? I wouldn't be shocked if Sarah really said that to Johnny- these people's friends on MAFS be throwing them under the number 5 bus, accidentally or intentional. Shout out to Brett, the realest one of the episode
When she said that, I was speechless. Like girl, your on video! She needs professional help ASAP.
Dr. Pepper knew what was happening but she was also aware that this woman is a candidate for an episode of snapped. This was not the moment to challenge her, she needs to seek help voluntarily(not enough grounds for a 1013). As far as Sarah, I think she did say what Johnny said she did. Bao even acknowledged that she kept this "friend" out of the loop because she would have told her to leave. If this was the case she would have been a better friend than most by telling Bao to get out of that relationship and she wouldn't have wasted so much time and energy on Johnny. Regardless, if she was truly friend to both of the she should have just stayed out of it.

I still side with Bao because she didn’t say “that’s a lie!” She was like, “I’m not that person anymore. I have not been that way with you. I’m really trying to commit to this.” She did say that her previous ways didn’t work and that’s why she was trying this process.
Meanwhile, Johnny is leaving out the fact that he is actually good friends with this girl who is stabbing Bao in the back, just so he can justify his behavior towards her. If he is so repulsed by Bao, just leave her alone. And she made a good point that this “friend” is so negative and that’s why she doesn’t want to talk to her about their relationship. That definitely played out in her talk with Johnny. The fact that he was accusing her of everything we have actually seen him do didn’t go unnoticed.

Zach and Bao are both in abusive relationships. Any real "expert" would have pulled the plugs on these relationships a long time ago. AND production was the cause of Zach coming back for a "closure meeting". He's still obligated to a few more weeks.
**THIS!!! Dr. pepper said that the meeting was a good idea and it was 100% NOT. The experts KEEP trying to say he is a perfectionist and has unrealistic expectations, but they're also reinforcing he needs to try here so he never closes the door fully.

My belief is that Johnny blames his mother for him not having his father in his life and he's also blaming Bao for their relationship issues. Johnny is his father and can't admit it to himself.
Now. I've always thought there was some truth to what Johnny says about Bao off camera, but the way he behaves ON CAMERA makes him all the way wrong in the situation.

So this will be my last season of MAFS I watch. The show has made a mockery of marriage and I'm thoroughly disgusted by Lifetime's willingness to humiliate their cast along with putting their lives in danger (Bao, Zach and Rachel). I'll continue to watch reviews, but I'm not giving them any more of my time. I can't do it.

The point you’re making about Johnny never even trying to see what Bao likes or needs is so spot on. Even when she told him about her childhood he was like “I felt like I needed to comfort her bc it make me think about how much I love my mom” or whatever he said. It all came back to him and his childhood, and he couldn’t give two shits about hers.

As I look at Unfiltered for the first time ever....I am kinda understanding what's going on with the whole Bao and Johnny thing with the other couples. I think that the couples decided to pick a side because Bao and Zack are dating. Johnny was really good at making friends with the individuals whereas I can see that Bao isn't/wasn't. Like most friends groups after awhile a side must be chosen so I think what we are seeing is them choosing Johnny because he is "personable and friendly with them". Bao on the other hand doesn't want to suffer another day and couldn't care less about them people when it comes to her happiness and has chosen to move on with Zack. Also we also have to keep in mind that Michaela likely is talking to them all about how Bao snatched Zack. LoL....I done made up a whole situation that makes sense!! 🤣🤣🤣
I also think that when it comes to Myrla and her reaction to what Johnny was saying - Ryan and Johnny seems to be who she does Unfiltered with the most and so they travel together often for that. He probably gripes about Bao all the time and she probably gripes about Gil so they have formed a bond. Because I never got the impression that Myrla cared much for Michaela either. When they are venting in their small groups, she is never with Michaela. She seems closest to Rachel of the five women.

Michaela keeps throwing out “I love you” and thats super toxic. Her actions do not show that she loves him and her saying that over and over and then acting the way she acts is just a way to entice him to get him to come back. Her actions are inexcusable.
Kayla is a reason why you simply need to take your time getting to know someone. No one is that good at disguising who they are. Most times we either disregard the flags, make excuses are get physical too soon.

Im having a very hard time believing Johnny. For now, Im on Boa's side. Because we don't know what the other cast mates have seen the we haven't that has them agreeing with Johnny. Like are y'all witnessing their issues or is Johnny just telling telling them his side and Boa isn't? Because it would be easy to believe Johnny if your not getting the full story. And when Johnny said that Boa's friend said that she breaks you down just to build you up in her image...we have no proof on that in THIS relationship. But we do however have evidence of Johnny constantly talking down to Boa and making her do things out of her comfort zone to please him. So what's the truth? Because how that "friend" described Boa in relationships, is actually how Johnny has been treating Boa. I have a feeling Johnny is the one who's trying to do damage control on his image and not necessarily the other way around.

So I think Michaela felt like she could say what she said because Zack didn’t physically see her flipping benches, pushing tables, and slamming doors. He was already in the car when it happened. She knows he may have heard about it, but knows he didn’t see it. That’s why she was like “he has no EVIDENCE that I’ve done anything crazy TOWARDS HIM.” But she fails to realize all that she did to him while he was there was also crazy. Not just the physical destruction.
You forgot the Clorox wipes😂. Naw he saw her flip before he left the resort. Taking his luggage. Pushing him on the bed. Talking crazy to him.
Yeah.... a lot of her really bad moments were caught on the Closed Circuit camera and not in front of the camera crew. So she legit thinks (at this point in the show when talking to Dr. Pepper) that there was not evidence since she had those tantrums by herself.

Brett is a Scorpio and the way she got him together is EXACTLY how we are when we are done…..that calmness confuses you because you don’t know what we’re thinking but you know that you royally messed up and there is no coming back from it. He played in her face and she had enough. When folks were trying to point out that Zack never saw her blow up, I said to myself, you have to understand that for Zack it was more than just experiencing her blowups at the retreat. It was all of her rash decisions/behavior. He may not have physically seen her uppercut those Clorox wipes, but he DID experience her moving out when he didn't text her a play by play of his morning (even though he said on unfiltered that he did initially text her). He also experience her calling off the house warming party after they had smoothed things over, and also making him salsa dance with the instructor (all while having that passive aggressive face on like everything was all good). You pile that with everything that went down at the retreat? Yea, Zack has definitely witness several explosive/erratic moments from Michaela. Now granted, Zack is immature and gives mixed signalized, but Michaela is a very dangerous kind of pathological liar. Either Michaela is extremely manipulative and knows it or she needs medication (and Im not even trying to be funny.) Im no psychiatrist, but she genuinely had me wondering if she has an undiagnosed form of bipolar or something along those lines. Like instead of her getting mental help and getting a proper diagnosis, her family found it easier to give her behavior a name aka "Hurricane K". And I truly don't believe her behavior has anything to do with "the trauma of her dad passing."
You couldn’t have said it better👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. Her family watered her behaviors by not addressing them when she was younger, and how do I know this? They comfortably nicknamed a consortium of her bad behaviors ‘hurricane’. That’s how they describe them.
Zack enjoys having martial relations with his wife, which is why he wants to keep contact and keep her around.
Gil is very insecure about Myrla making a lot more money that him. He’s been negging her this whole season. Myrla will most likely say no decision day.

Gil gets on my last nerve, he is so freaking annoying, always nagging her about her spending, calling her a Princess, talking to the others about her. I have never heard her say one thing negative about him, and she laughs along with him when he is complaining about her. I hope she says NO on decision day

Your commentary on Michaela is spot on! I said the same things. She was lying like a rug and was out for an academy award with that manipulative performance. I want to know who her acting coach is. Honestly, I get surprised by the fact that there’s another episode every week because everyone is falling apart what else is there to film.
Whether you believe that Makayla is abusive or not(I do), she clearly needs deeper help than the "experts" on this show can give her. I hope she gets it. Zach may be passive aggressive but I feel he acts more like abuse victims often act. They say they don't want to stay but keep going back, even into situations where they or even their children are hurt. Even those that get out keep finding the same types of abusive partners and can't seem to figure out why. They need help. Zach said way back after the first issue in the apartment that he had dated several women like this so why does he keep repeating the pattern? This is where he needs counseling as well.
My take on Ryan is that the death of his friend was a sort of wake up call for him. Tomorrow is not promised and he felt like it was time to stop playing and do the grown up things so he can get the life he wants but thought he had time to get it. So he saw this process as the way to go from where he was to matched with an ideal woman for him and get his life going. The problem is just because he wants to be married, have kids, etc. , doesn't mean that he is equipped with the tools to be in any successful relationship. He hasn't seen a good marriage, he hasn't participated in any relationships with any depth, doesn't know how to communicate, and avoids confrontation of any kind. He can't create these skills out of thin air and I agree with whoever said that he realized how much of a jerk he is during this season. I think he realized he had made a mistake, that he wasn't ready for this level of commitment in spite of his friend's death, but he couldn't get out of it.
The only thing i'll say about Rachel sleep at her ex's house is I don't believe for one second that none of her friends, family, coworkers, etc. could be found to help her for one night. She chose her ex the cheater as if getting back at Jose was worth entangling herself with that guy. Jose was absolutely wrong, but now so is she. She doesn't get a pass because of what he did.
Lastly, if anyone is suspect to me it's these "experts." They need to be held accountable for how they deal with all the issues these people expose during filming. If this is just another reality show then own it. If not then they need to provide REAL counseling to these people, done by off screen therapists. These people need tools in order to learn how to be in relationship, let alone married, or this is just an exercise in pain for all involved. People can get past pre screening because they are putting on their best faces. But after issues are exposed they need a deeper level of help, not encouraging more trauma for ratings. If Bao is this person Johnny and crew are claiming she is, why can’t they just be straight forward about it and give examples? Don’t dance around it because it’s impossible to believe something when you can’t even back it up.
Yeaaa I don't believe that bs! The only thing interesting to me is that she went from consoling michaela to supposedly dating her husband but so many things could've happened. Michaela and Bao didn't seem to have a real friendship. Other than that I see no evidence that Bao is no bueno.

I think Myrah would be okay with him making less if he wasn't trying to change her spending habits. I don't think it's fair for a Man as the head of the household to come into a marriage expecting the woman to change but not think he needs to change his income to be able to provide.

He is a firefighter so he only works 2 days a week get a second job. She is making 6 figures strong and she never makes him try to change his low pay 2 days/week job so he can contribute more to the savings. She knows his job makes him happy.

If Johnny has receipts, why hasn't he presented them? He has said so many horrible things to her but, he has to hold THESE things close to the chest🙄. Let's remember this is the person who called her duplicitous for not making cupcakes he didn't want anyway. He is doing extreme fault finding to make her look bad. However, he always looks worse.

I think Kay puts that thing all the way down after she goes off and Zach forgets and reboots. That’s why he was mad when she didn’t want to sleep in the same bed. That divorce and date again comment was crazy. I wish Kay used her words to explain how the “hot and cold” behavior made her feel. Her legitimate feelings get lost in her outbursts.
The divorce and date again comment made sense because there is a tendency for people on the show to feel like ¨Oh we´re already married so I do not have to work on this or that. ¨ So maybe if they divored and dated and started from scratch without the cameras then she would handle her business and not think she has it in the bag. Michaela continuing to say she is gonna still be her means that she has no intention of changing her attitude or reactions that she knows is a huge red flag problem. She can only feign calmness and sanity for short periods of time. Nothing about Zach has been hot or cold. He has consistently said he has an issue with her outbursts.
@@filmadcamp1512 Zach will tell her she is fundamentally flawed and can’t change, then say, things are better and he’ll try, leave the house at night and not return a few times , wanna be lovey-dovey and swim, tell her he’s not confident it’ll work, salsa dance like nothing is wrong, cry with disappointment every time they have a tough conversation, tell her she can’t change, leave, come back, wanna sleep in the same room, but not stay married, but date, then get confused when she doesn’t want to sleep together and wants better boundaries if they aren’t choosing each other. It’s only 8 weeks. He’s been all over the place too. They are a horrible match. He doesn’t need to keep giving her hope and snatching it away. They need to get and stay divorced. She is bad for his anxiety with her “fits of rage”. He is horrible for her attachment issues with the constant “back and forth”. They are both hot and cold. Kay in mood and Zach in feelings and consistency.

So she will put on a front which she can do for a while but not for long periods of time. And this leads to them having disagreements. Both of them leave at different points. The first time she packed up and left because he took his dog for a walk even though he was communicating with her where he was.
People say he doesn't need to keep giving her hope and snatching it away. I agree he should just cut her off and leave her alone. Blame that on the show and the producers because we saw them force Paige to keep going back to Chris to tell him things. We saw them tell Ryan to send that nonsense text to Brett about not activating the dating app. They told Rachel to talk to Jose after he locked her out and then was rude to her when she came back. So they are the ones most likely pushing him to keep trying.

I’m going to give Zack some grace on being wishy washy. He’s young, signed up for this experiment basically and got the worst possible deal. He’s confused. This relationship is manipulative and abusive and he barely knows this woman. Her behavior on the last episode was scarier; her being so calm.
