I'm happy that Antonio is doing ok nowadays. It is a crime that Black Knight is the only game that shows fanarts. I wished more games did this. Still, good video.
Absolutely agreed. Yeah, I really hope that Sega does something like this again in future, would be a great way to celebrate the 35th anniversary haha. Thank you for the kind words! :)
@@CAMiStH definitely especially I love to see what beautiful fanart the fans have made especially how Frontiers have so much great fanart both before and after the game came out and it makes me hopeful Sega will make another fanart contest when the next sonic game coming out around the franchise's 35th anniversary
Really enjoyed this video. I remember when viewing for the first time the art contest winners section in the game and being kind of bummed that I had missed out on trying to enter myself. Regardless hearing the beautiful rendition of Sonic's theme from Adventure (which is my favorite theme for him) and looking at all the art was really heartwarming. If I remember correctly this wouldn't be the first time the subject of "stolen/traced artwork" would be a thing within a Sonic game. Around that same time with Sonic & SEGA All Stars racing, Sonia of all characters appears on a card in one of the casino tracks with no credit given to the artist. Would love to see a video on that subject honestly!
Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, the gallery was an absolutely beautiful love letter to the franchise. And you’d be correct, they did accidentally include fan art of Sonia in All Stars Racing; may be something I cover in a shorter video or as part of a bigger video that deals with similar instances in other franchises, we’ll have to see on that one :)
GREAT VIDEO DUDE. I love these topics from back in the day, there so much oversaturation on sonic topics while events like this, go under the radar. thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words, really glad that you enjoyed the video! I absolutely agree, hope to continue to shine a light on some lesser known topics as time goes on!
Honestly History about the sonic community and the fan is such a topic I love and would like to see more of in the future! This is an instant sub from me!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I have a new video about some obscure characters out in the next day or so, and then afterwards I plan on looking at the old usenet groups dedicated to Sonic, seeing how fans reacted to releases like Sonic 3 etc.
a nice concise and informative video lol, videos like this remind me of when i was little 'n thought Sonic was a mysterious franchise with a huge fandom and an interesting history surroundin it... if that uh makes any sense to u. do u got plans to have like a consistent schedule or should i expect a random noti every 6 months?
Thank you so much for your kind words! Definitely, I felt the same way when I was a kid and looking up stuff about Sonic to learn more about it haha. I’m hoping to put out at least one new video every two weeks from now on, just depends on how much free time I get, but more stuff will definitely be out this month! :)
Thank you for your kind words! I’ll absolutely be doing more stuff soon, got a few videos in the works at the moment that I need to record and edit. The Sonic 2 video is a top priority as I’ve been promising it for about a year now lmao
Honestly what a video this was great. Great art by morrio777 absolutley and antonio had a great sincere apology i hope there both doing great things today. The funniest part is; thats not the only piece of plagirism in the game lmfao. The song molten mine was written by an artist who composed for the soundtrack black dawn. But the producer for that game was credited for that song in thr black knight credits instead which is insane.
Thank you for the kind words, I absolutely agree! Yes, I've been following this particular story for the past few weeks myself, shouldn't be surprised that Tommy Tallarico, the man famously on MTV Cribs and the first American to ever work on Sonic, would plagiarise someone else's work and take the credit for it! I wonder if his mother is very proud!
The world needs more Sonic lore masters such as yourself. I hope you keep going!
Thank you for the kind words! I definitely will, working on some videos in my spare time so I’ll hopefully have them out very soon!

Imagine there's another fan art contest when the next mainline Sonic game is coming out
I’d love to see that, would definitely be a cool way to celebrate the fanbase!

Truly was a crazy ass moment in sonic history, thank you very cool. Make more videos pls.
Thanks for the kind words! It really was haha, and yes, I’ve got a few in the works at the moment so I’ll try and get them out by the end of the year

Oh my daise, this brings back so many memories!! Seeing this as a kid! How adult of everyone!

@@CAMiStH theres a whole youtube documentary on him i think he tried to steal credit for the oof sound effect in roblox too
This is so cool, I wish sega did this again
Likewise, I think it’d be a really nice thing to do!
DYKG also claimed that Antonio was disqualified from the contest
Also, when this video goes viral let the record show i was here before 300 Views.

Lesson of the day:Tracing art is a big no no
Absolutely, it never ends well for people unfortunately.
@@CAMiStH yeah and not even DeviantArt isn't safe from the trace art problem
Subbed
Thank you!
