- 1) A Z train pulls forward and couples on a few more cars and a DPU for the trip eastward. In the lead are SD70ACe #8438 & SD70M #4163 with DPU SD70ACe #8451.
2) Light power SD70ACe #8522 & SD9043MAC #8165 come off their recently arrived train and tie down for servicing.
3) The daily QPDRV is crewed and slowly pulls past the Fremont Bridge and begins it's trip down the valley. Power for the train is ES44AC's #5402 & #5378, SD70M's #4274 & #4109 and DPU's AC44CW #6708, originally Chicago & Northwestern #8806 built 1994, and ES44AC #7652.
4) Train MPDCO (Portland to Eugene for interchange with the Central Oregon & Pacific) with SD70M #5062 & ES44AC #7494 pulls up to the signal to await it's turn to head south.

Great video. It is so clear! Great spot for railfanning, too.
I like train videos on TH-cam 👍
I love that spot. Great video!!!
If you come down to the west side of the yard you can access it without trouble, it is a shared area with a few businesses. The east side off of Interstate Ave is watched carefully so is less available for railfanning.
Very nice footage, thank you very much.
I'm at that yard almost every day. I am a transport driver for the UP crews

Awesome video!!
Bold Railfanning in Portland, OR
The most interesting part of this video was the crappy paint job on the underside of that bridge. So glad you shot every last inch of a slow moving train. I couldn't stand the suspense, wondering how it would end.
Good video hey there is a workshop Greetings?
I use Canon DSLR's, a 7D and a T3i.
Hi, I need a location for a photo shoot for a play I am doing with middle school students. it takes place during the Depression Era and involves train hopping. Due to time constraints we need to do it within Portland. Any ideas? Thanks so much.
What camera do you use
