    🔥 There’s one skill that separates great IT Project Managers from everyone else-project tailoring.
    Most project managers get stuck trying to learn every new tool and process out there. They dive deep into theories but still struggle to deliver projects on time and within budget. It’s frustrating.
    The truth is, great project managers don’t try to do it all-they focus on tailoring simple processes and tools that work best for their team and projects. That’s what creates transparency, predictability, and results.
    But here’s the thing-tailoring isn’t just guessing what might work. It’s about knowing three critical components:
    1) Understanding project management on a deeper level.
    2) Knowing exactly what to tailor.
    3) Applying it effectively in real companies with real people.
    That’s why I created the Professional Development Plan for IT Project Managers-to help you master project tailoring and finally become the project manager who delivers every time, no matter the challenge.
    ✅ Click the link below to get your development plan now and take the next step toward mastering project management.

      @@creativeperspectives2712 most likely the problem is in your CV. You need to write it from scratch and mention only things that are relevant for a project manager. You don't communicate that you are a leader. I share some ideas in this video: th-cam.com/video/PSeUg3cnolU/w-d-xo.html

    Thank you for this content. Please guide, is better to do a masters in PM or its better to get certification rather?

    • @ITProjectManagers
      @ITProjectManagers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It’s better to gain leadership experience first. Neither masters degree nor certification will guarantee that you get the job of a project manager. Moreover, both provide theoretical knowledge that you won’t use.
      With hands on experience you get more opportunities to get started as a PM in a smaller company and build career from there.

      I agree with Dmitriy here, get the job, gain experience, and then go for certifications. Its more natural to understand and relate the learnings to your actual work. It helps you add more structure to your real job.

    i got my certification as a PM back in August & i haven’t applied because I still feel under prepared. This position looks & sounds extremely intimidating. 😢

      @ITProjectManagers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I totally get it how it feels. But this fears are usually simply limiting beliefs. You have what it takes to be a PM if you feel like you want to lead people. Everything else comes with experience.

    Hi ,Mr Dmitriy
    I need your advice.I am interested to be PM,but what major do I need to study it at university to get job as project manager?🙏🌹

    • @ITProjectManagers
      @ITProjectManagers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello,
      There are just a few universities that have a dedicated project management program. So, any major that includes management, business management, and leadership will work. Moreover, I don’t think it’s worth spending several years learning project management theory. Practice is more important.
      You can become a PM with any background.
      However, it’s hard to get a PM role as your very first job. You need to prove you can be a leader without authority or title. So, you’ll need to start in other roles in the same industry.

    The first day always hard :) What about email introduction? I mean, if someone acessable only by email, due to COVID or something else. Do you need to set up a call meeting or informative email is enough?

    • @ДенисКириллов-ы3щ
      @ДенисКириллов-ы3щ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting question! In our company intro in the general chat is enough as usual. What about common practices?

    • @ITProjectManagers
      @ITProjectManagers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Now, it’s more of stakeholder management. If you think the person is not a critical stakeholder - email is enough. However, planning a 15 minutes call to get acquainted with an important person is a strategic and long-term move. Project Management is all about people relationships.

    • @ITProjectManagers
      @ITProjectManagers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In our company, each team has a daily meeting in Zoom. So, it’s easy to introduce a new person to the team. The same for the key stakeholders. We communicate on a call meeting daily.
      In addition to that introduction to the whole company via social network (workspace).
