- Janae Kent is leaving The LSU Tigers women's basketball team. Louisiana State University is a member of NCAA Division I women's college basketball. The head coach is Kim Mulkey, who is the former head coach at Baylor University has been blamed by a section of fans for the departure of some of her players. #janaekent #lsuwomensbasketball

Kim Mulkey is the John Calipari, Rick Pinto player mill coaches of collegian basketball. They could care less about players development.

She dam sure played too much time at PG. HVL went to LSU to add PG to her skill set, now she realizes that she is a shooter and needs to get back to that. But last summer she swore up and down she could play PG too well in Mulkey's system if you can't it's gonna be exposed. She bout left because she was no fan favorite. Remember she wanted to entertain. But you have to have true point guard skills to entertain in Mulkey's system.

@@politicallil7060 she WAS a fan favorite and when she excelled she was great, but she got benched during an SEC Tourney game, pouted and never played great again! She could’ve handled Clark. I think she had no desire to do so!

She the coach is at fault ..coach M is a poor coach ,she acts like the students..Co.M is a poor, poor, leader...She acts the fool and encourages the girls to be street thugs in my opinion.....She is supposed to be a role model,not a fellow young lady..many girls could be playing at that school...I believe it's Coach M. doing ..

That a shallow thing to say first of all you don't know what may have led to the departures. Mulkey publicly asked these recruits to step up and earn their playing time through practice they seemed content to sit there and enjoy the amenities. Mulkey needed bench production and they didn't deliver. Mulkey really wanted Kent to get into the rotation she had high hopes her athleticism would make her an attractive prospect on defense and rebounding if nothing else. Kent could have spent the summer working on her offensive game..She has a shot that could use better mechanics, she could have added a floater and she was timid on the court. I saw minimal growth. Leave and go where? It's no guarantee another top contender is going to pick some of theses players. Kent should have gone to a HBCU in my opinion some of these players think they are better than the actually are.
@politicallil7060 Sorry, listen to the pros takes on the comments....Coach M, is a very selfindulgent adult..She is a older woman and acts more like a jr. High school student.. I never said she isn't knowledgeable, she is a person that looks for attention for herself in my ooinion...And her players are always leaving the school....Why, because she is not well received . THE SPORT is for the students, not for coaches glory...MOST SCHOOLS THE PLAYERS STAY UNTIL THEY ARE OFF TO THE WORLD OR TO THE DRAFT...HER PLAYERS ARE KEAVING FOR OTHER COACHES, AND OTHER SCHOOLS THAT CARE ABOUT THE STUDENT ATHLETE'S.....I am not debating with you...I am saying a fact...IF UOU DISAGREE...WHY DO YOU HAVE NO RESPONSE ABOUT FACT SO MANY OF THE PLAYERS DONT STAY IN SCHOOL WITH HER AS COACH...
@@politicallil7060it’s funny you all think Kim is this great coach that has the ability to develop players. She knew the bench was short the beginning of the season but instead of getting the players minutes when playing teams of lesser talent it was all about padding stats playing the starters 38 minutes a game. Now look where that got them. Team burnt out, definitely didn’t live up to all the preseason hype, no top recruits coming in, no one to hold down the paint because ADR definitely ain’t it and now it’s let’s see who we can grab out the portal to fill the roster. When you take the time and actually develop your freshman instead of just throwing them out there (Mikayla) they actually perform when they get on the big stage (South Carolina). But we’ll let the great Kim keep doing her thing and see how next season turns out
