  • The keynote presentation, "Essential Sleep Features for Brain Remodeling: Importance for Cognition and Emotional Health," by Gina Poe, PhD, was presented in Houston at the George R. Brown Convention Center on June 3, 2024, during SLEEP 2024, the 38th annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies (APSS).
    Dr. Poe is a professor and Lorre Scholars Chair in the UCLA Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology, the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, and the Department of Neurobiology. Her research currently focuses on the role of sleep in resilience to PTSD, in gaining insight into tough problems, and remodeling networks throughout our lives.
