Sorry for the delay hurricane Helene has knocked out power and internet at our house in east Tennessee. I'm in town catching up on work. The stove will have about a 3 hour burn time with the air intake at the smallest setting. It will continue to have coals and radiant heat for another 2 hours. We usually only put enough wood into the stove for a 1 hour burn. If we burn much longer the house gets over 80 degrees. Take care!
@@tbb10785 No need whatsoever to apologize, thanks for the reply. Sorry for what you are going through. Stove seems like a pretty good deal overall. I'm in New Hampshire. We'd need something to hold a fire overnight. Our house is 1790 and a little light on insulation. I run a 70k BTU Harmon for 1500sqft
Thank you for the upload, this was helpful. We bought the same stove and are dealing with the same space challenges that you seem to be having. Do you have the dimensions of your hearth handy? We installed the blower on ours and understand this significantly reduces clearances. I believe ours will end up sitting similar to yours. (We hope).
Hello Wesley, the hearth dimensions are roughly 3 feet x 4 feet. Our contractor installed 2 sheets of 1/2 inch cement board over the subfloor and 1 sheet on the walls, then installed the tile/rock. We also decided to use the fresh air intake on the back of the stove, pulling air from the crawl space, which is vented. The floor and back of the stove only get warm, it's the side walls that, about the same height as the fire, that take the most heat. It's never so hot that I can't put my hand on the walls and leave for a few seconds with no burns. Hope this helps and feel free to ask more questions. Thanks!
@@wesleygyger1210 Great, glad it was of some use to you. We also purchased a hearth rug which will help with keeping embers from the laminate flooring. Here's a link to one similar to ours from Tractor Supply www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/hearth-rug-22-in-x-40-in-assortment?cm_vc=-10005 FYI, I have thanked my wife quite a few times from suggesting we removing the coat closet to make a corner for the woodstove. It's working really well for us but we're burning kiln dried oak scraps :-)

Hello Kevin. Thank you for the compliment! It looks like slate but it is tile product. I'd send a link but our contractor picked up this product and I don't have any more info, sorry. I do remember that is was inexpensive. FYI, there are 2 layers of cement backer board under the tile.
Hello Ash, good thought! I don't remember anything in the Amazon listing about joining two together. I drilled the new hole like the other three because the shelf was only supported on 3 sides and would have sagged under a full load of wood. Men aren't good with instructions so I handed them for a review from my wife before drilling the new hole 🙂
Thanks L L ! Appreciate the tip! I did it with a stove that I rebuilt and painted years ago but didn't have the patience or time to move this one outdoors.
Hello Corey. We're just starting to get our routine with the new stove. It has a small firebox, that filled, should burn flames for 2-3 hours or so and hold coals for 2-3 more hours. We also owned a small Jotul woodstove similar in size and used it for about 8 years. We use these smaller stoves to have burns 2-3 times a day so we get good at starting fires.
@@nard0q695 Hello, thank you for subscribing! I just took a quick measurement of the inside of the stove, firebox. I'm going to call it 18" wide x 10" height x 10" depth. I'm being realistic and leaving room from the side walls, front glass, and top of the stove. Hope this helps!
When you installed your stove The fiber board inside the firebox how is it supposed to be placed? There’s two pieces is supposed to cover the total top or is it supposed to have gap opening?
Hello! I looked through the installation manual, link - www.usstove.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/AW1120E-Owners-Manual.pdf page 20 shows the fiber board but not how it is installed. I don't remember how ours looked before we installed the stove pipe. I'd asked the company since headquarters are based in Tennessee. I'll try to do the same today and report back.
Sorry, I waited until my fire burned down so I could take a look. The opening is at front, just above the door. Take a look at this pic www.azappliance.com/assets/images/1008221147d.jpg Mystery solved I believe 😁
@@tbb10785 thank you so much I just couldn’t figure out if I had to move that top layer or keep it the way it was a buddy of mine bought one too, and he said he moved his to the front to get it to burn better but thank you for all your help. I love this stove and keep up the videos. I love them.
You are very welcome! This helped me learned about the stove too. Now, I know perfectly why it smokes a bit and rolls out the front when you load more wood. I think to get the secondary burn (stove ceiling or fire) the smoke needs to take the "S" pattern and roll past the air injection tubes on the ceiling of the stove. Working from home today so I've been keeping the fire going. Temps are expected to drop quickly today and we might have an overnight snow.
You wasted a considerable amount of time and video by NOT showing the actual hookup and installation of the stove itself. Air intake, blower considerations, etc., should have been the focus of your presentation.
Appreciate your feedback on our video and will consider additional content going forward. I will let you know that recording this one was difficult because Bruce's help with the installation was necessary and I was not there at that time to assist with additional camera work. Again, appreciate your feedback and hope you have a good rest of your day.
What is the clearance from the back of your stove to the wall?
Whats a realistic burn time for this stove? Will it hold fire overnight? Thanks

Why was there steam or smoke coming out of where the pipe meets the stove? Also can you cook on top of it and have you ever tried?
