Yeah I'm gonna be real.. This wasn't that good.. While I understand the limitations of trainz, none of the characters really felt alive or expressive, the camera sort of just moved back and forth between the freight gang while the camera giggled around. None of the cars really felt alive, they more or less just felt like mouthpieces for the music. There really wasn't any character in them. And while yes, I think the american counterparts fit everyone perfectly, it just feels off to have flat-top be a BNSF flatcar in the 80s (I think around the time starlight takes place), or the rockies being the standard vanilla 40fts. It just feels like a mish mash of different time periods all smashed together, You honestly hit the ground running with the series, and I hope to see it continues, and I hope you don't take this comment negatively, as I'm honestly enjoying your adaption of STEX so far, but it just feels off in a few ways.
The feedback is much appreciated, lol. Although this remake more or takes place in the early 2000s, as you will see in the next part. Plus, ye, it's hard to make a non-powered piece of rolling stock seem alive in Trainz without go in AEG lengths of doing so.
Sure, freight is great, but freight trains don't get the experience of seeing natural wonders of the world for leisure time. Passenger trains on the other hand? Their jobs are practically leisure all the time if it goes on without a hitch
