I'm SO glad to hear your thoughts on original vs reissues. And I couldn't agree more. I even have a "no reissue" policy in my collection, only original pressings allowed. And great music, Smoke is a big fave :)
You and I are in the minority unfortunately however it’s just due to marketing and advertising that dupes the public and can act as a placebo when listening to a reissue that has a hyped up sticker or narrative. Thanks for watching
Hi Crazy Jimmy, two great albums, I agree on the Markley group album, top notch, The Smoke took me awhile to really appreciate to be honest, I was fortunate to find both in the wild years ago before the prices went bonkers, I actually have a second copy of the Markley album that's in pretty decent shape that I picked up off of eBay for like $22, the guy didn't put any WCPAEB info anywhere in the descriptions, I just found it by chance that late night ha! You got a very nice collection, long live the shrink!! Take care...

@@Vinylfromtheunderground me too, and price stickers, it really angers me when sellers try to remove the price stickers so worried that I'm going to ask them why I'm not paying $0.97 cents in 2024 😏🤣
I love pretty much all things WCPAEB, (except for Where's My Daddy, ewww. sold my copy). But A GROUP is fantastic, and its probably top 2 for me with the band. Also, I LOVE their very first. It's raw and garagey as hell. The version of Baby Blue on there is smokin. How many originals of that are there like 10? Cool feature though, nice tying together the other records. Haven't been able to track down the Shaun Harris but have The Smoke and it is a classic. Cheers Jimmy
I didn’t love the daddy lp at first but the music grew on me. I ignore the lyrics. Eeek is right.
Went and streamed some of The Smoke album after watching your video. Surprised to see some songs from October Country, another great pop-psych album. Common connection might be Michael Lloyd. Will have to seek out The Smoke album.
