So fascinating! Really fun to watch your process. The word you are using to describe the plumpness of the lips is actually “voluptuous”. No lump in the middle. 😉 And the indentation above the top lip is called a Cupid’s Bow. I hope you don’t think I’m an annoying smarty pants! Just sharing some little knowledge tidbits.✌🏿
Really helpful)))) thanks!!!! I'm just going to start doll customization, and you explained the beginning of the process really clearly))))) now I understand what and how to start with)))
Estoy encantada con sus videos, soy española y gracias a usted estoy aprendiendo a customizar a mis Blythe, usted enseña muy muy bien, no se su idioma, pero enseña muy bien manejo de las herramientas, los videos son increibles, gracias
It is a riffler file. You can buy it in my shop here: www.etsy.com/listing/608238766/blythe-file-tool-blythe-starter-kit?ref=shop_home_active_2&crt=1 :)
I got it at Walmart a long time ago. It says Dremel 7700 on it and if I remember right it was the kind that is for carving/sculpting. At Walmart there was only 1 option for the Dremel and one tool kit. ;)
Oh right forgot to post a link! I have looked at hardware stores and town and have never found this one. It is a specific file called a "riffler" file. Just search "riffler" files and you should find it. Here is a link to one: www.sciplus.com/p/model-maker-riffler-files_1363?ppc=shopping1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI36S-oNGW2QIVA2t-Ch1ljQUlEAUYAiABEgLT3PD_BwE
This has been helpful. Im wondering if you could message me about the scalps and wigs ive sold blythe dolls but people have mentioned theyd like the wig stuck to the scalp but im not sure of the process if you could message and give me some tips
Hi there...it is a riffler file...but there are probably 100 different riffler files and this one I have made just for me based on specifications I've given the manufacture. I do believe there is a similar Swiss made one.
Thank you for the video! It made carving on dolls less scarier!
finally a tutorial with some explanations. thank you so much it was very helpful ❤

Hi Casie! Where can we post our pictures of what we have created from your tutorial?
Where do I get the curved files like yours? Do you think Lowe's would have them?

How do you make their face not shiney?
First you sand them with very fine sandpaper and then spray with Mr. Super Clear or other sealant. :0)
