The B16 is still just out of this world as far as sound is concerned. I remember the first time I rode in a B16 car, I was in the back seat of my buddy’s 90 or 91 Si and he laid into the throttle. I just kept screaming “oh my god!” In disbelief. Love it.
@@Zaucey rsx or ep3 subframe will work. Hasport mounts of course and my car started as an auto. Converting to manual is simple. All rsx components bolt right in, shifter box and cables. Even the cable grommet goes into factory spot on car.
Thanks for squeezing my car in for some LHT TLC, I’ll have to update you on how the SOS clutch does once I get the turbo installed. It’s been a bit of an adjustment trying to break this thing in. Also, I’m glad I did the valve adjustment, I never had any noticeable issues but that was one tight valve!
@@LHTPerformancemy local clutch shop built a setup for my 500 Abarth, when they suggested that I bring in my DMF for machining I knew they were good to go. Let’s just say I haven’t had good luck with clutch disaster clutches. I tried their fx100 and 250 with their flywheels. No bueno. 1-2 years max and this is with 6 years of racing on my OEM to compare against.
Yo! That’s my Rusty Bitch! It lived in Pensilvania and Indiana before I bought it in December 2023, with that messed up clutch! You guys are honestly why I bought my dream car. I fell in love with it when it came out but watched your channel and decided to buy it over the Datsun 240Z (my other dream car) which I was considering. My wife only got on board because she is a Honda fan all the way. So, fair warning I am gonna do the best I can to save the Rusty Bitch. And you will see her again!
Hopefully before I bring her back I will drop the front and rear subframe and replace oh so many rusty bolts! You guys are the best and deserve your rep!
@@joelprice2146 It sure was a challenge getting the rusty bolts out but everyone went back in with anti seize on them. Thanks for the business and we’ll be ready for round 2
There’s a new clutch type from an Australian company that looks pretty promising… it is twin plate with a dual spring system and it is very interesting. Stock pedal feel, more grip, good DMF-like effect for nice daily driving attributes.
I swapped out the ceramic hybrid disc from my SOS 400 kit. i have the lightweight SOS 11.5lb flywheel. It had terrible clutch buzz and the worst 1st/reverse gear clutch feeling as well.. OEM disc made it enjoyable again. 400 kit probably best with a heavier flywheel..

Can’t Beat B series VTEC. It’s still the best sounding version out there.
stoked on your upcoming series with the 7th gen. I k24 swapped with 6 speed and turbod my 2003 hybrid.
I have a 04 hybrid manual and I’m curious what you used for mounts and subframe. Was your car auto or manual

Thanks ! Just remember the break in, more easy miles the better. Those hard disks take longer to break in and will help smooth the engagement

I've seen this company on one of the TH-cam channels I follow but can't remember the name or who installed 1 but they claim its the shiz!
Can't wait to see the uncle Ray build !!!!
Save me a sticker for our next visit please 🙏
I would love to see some LHT content on a new accord! I might be biased, but I think the internet is more than ready!!😎
I hear that. We can only work on what comes in.

We’ve been finding an AP2 flywheel helps with noise and helps smooth out a more aggressive clutch.
I wonder how do you prevent surface rust on the S, im also debating on getting a dehumidifier for the garage
That SSM S2k belongs to a buddy of mine.
I had an 05 LX coupe
Ester is so fine.
