I am a long time boxing aficionadoand I love this approach . Bobbing and weaving gets increasingly difficult with age and the longer the fight . Plus it takes skills...I like to catchand pitch the punches ...it's way more efficient for self defense ...
@@Docinaplane I thought I commented into this, but I don’t see it… You are exactly right! I should’ve covered all of that. I’ll get it shot and then another video and link it to you when I do. As far as to answer your question, you are correct on how we would catch those two punches. The right hand carries the left. The left hand catches the right. It’s not the only way, but it is a good way to get started, especially as a beginner I appreciate your comment and thanks for calling that out! Great to have you on the channel
@ ha! So glad! it’s not our first choice but we do sometimes parry… Think of the angle of the punch… Typically a jab is relatively straight and can be picked off (not always) However There are so many variations of the right hand and the angle it can come in at. I just don’t think that Parry is quite as reliable if that makes sense. If you have the distance, and it’s straight down the middle absolutely!
Thank you for sharing this great information. It’s certainly on point.👍
Thank you so much for the comment, it’s great to have you on this channel!
Tyson in his prime was a fantastic heavy weight fighter, he was really fast and could slip and weave punches faster than many light weight 😂
Agree!!

Yeah dodging “ Chancllas” also sparked my interest 😂😂😂
I like your channel but was disappointed you never showed any technique in this video. I assume catching jab with right and cross with left?
