Practice in the mirror
You needed to include the 3
I remember reading his two-part series on the five different angular attacks years ago. Lewis was a very strategic fighter, besides being a powerhouse hitter.
not to be that guy, but muay thai figured this out and will destroy this tactic with leg kick
So if you never grab you never covered and you never roll. What the fuck do you do stand there and get hit in the goddamn face idiot
Too hard?! 😂 What a doby
It's easy for me. Even pros are showcked at my amazing natural abilities.
Savateurs have the best footwork and kicking skills on the planet and their art was created on a boat.
Where is your "draw"???? Appendix is my favorite. H&K USP 45c in less than 2 seconds. When it gets cold like this, it's my S&W 642 in my coat pocket with my hand on the trigger, thats.......less than 2 seconds. Of course the USP has a lot more.....attitude.
I disagree.
His chest size alone tells me he can hit hard.
R.I.P. Mr. Joe Lewis, The G.O.A.T.🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Kicks aren't as effective as punches
They still have their time and place.
@ShinFahima the guy in another video explained that punches were the primary way to fight ..
@ShinFahima i believe in kicking big time
@@0patience4flz Yeah, I know, I heard him say it too. But that doesn't change the fact that they still have their time and place. Like when you're just not in range for the punches. Or to set yourself up into a better position to throw more punches. Like, punches may be "better" but that doesn't mean that the use of kicks shouldn't exist.
@@ShinFahima im kicking!!! 😁
Back should be to the ring center?
George St. Pierre said his coach told him to overload the opponents nervous system by doing constant small faints, jabs, small forward movements etc. This is like trying to run a load of programs on a computer, it will eventually get too stressed and crash
I love Joe but if thinks muay thai fighters cant fight backing up or dont have more weapons than a lazy eoundhouse ya gonna be in trouble. Teeps, knees, elbows can all xome off the back foot
The wind coming of that left hook almost knocked me over
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've been punched and didn't feel it. I've been kicked in the leg and it hurt like hell. Even if you block a kick it will move your body. I like both.
Thee ol calf touchin rope.. yep. Circle out . Yep.
His advice didn't do him good against Bill Wallace.
I see " black" belts on some of those fat boys ! Nope..a 100 lb girl mma fighter would leave all those guys on the ground.
Head movement does not need to be big winding movements. Just the smallest amount of movement can avoid a punch or take most of its impact away.
Thank you for teaching us...🙏🇺🇲♥️
Unless your sugar Ray Leonard then you can wind up the uppercut 3 times and still land it 😂
Thanks Brian jhonson
2 feet to 6 feet! agree ? Does this guy have any idea how far 1 foot actually is?
Yup. Now if we can just get the grapplers and wrestlers to admit the same. 😂
I'm fast af boi
Nah. Getting kicked by someone who can execute a proper side kick is 1000 times worse.
Right left right
Look up double hip, super power punches!
Can you imagine being the poor bastard who doesn't know who this guy is and decided to fk with him😂😂
That’s the truth my brother! Chest, shoulder triceps push it out, Lats, biceps, rear Delts pull it back. So much more powerful than when people have that “A” frame posture and they only move the fist ie just tricep / bicep. Love the lesson regarding the initial step and the second step have to be the same size or they are out of position.
Wow. Slipping punches is basic old school technique. Carries over to the street where blocking in that way doesn't.
I'm tall and long and it makes no sense for me to duck and weave. I'm a lot better off using the reach I have to float at the edge of my opponent's range and plain deflect the blows coming at me and MOVE. Back step, side step, come on guys. Footwork is everything.
Great advice. But life's not like that in reality. Better to think like an (budding) expert swordsman. You'll have opportunities of varies instants and moments. How you use them is the difference between winning and losing.
lol. These fkn weirdos…..notice how all these guys are outta shape…. And ALL got black belts lmaooooooo Guys try Jiu Jitsu, boxing, wrestling…. Real self defense arts….
Joe Lewis is one of the greatest fighters to ever exist!
Is there a crt(?) filter on that?
wow, so simple but profound.
What are some ways to slow him down?
You'll know when it's time to hit or duck trust me.
👍
One of the best ever.
I think you have it or you don't. I once dodged a paintball that I found with my eyes coming head on. That was my first time paintballing. And I don't box.
Thank you Jesus.
🤨 Theres a lot more mass and power behind a solid kick than a punch. Both are tools, sir. I don't care how much you like a hammer, and its gotten you out of a jam. If you hand it to me when i ask for a screwdriver, im giving you the dunce cap lol. Both are good. Do both
I can kick you from long range, where I can’t reach you to punch you. And you can’t reach me. Likewise I can knee or elbow you from contact ranges, where it’s too close to punch effectively. Different tools for different ranges.
Love to see how you work fades and pulls behind that guard
Something i picked up on my own but glad to see it explained
Yeah sometimes we got to experience it first then learn about it later 😂
