@@classicrewind2715 just clearing out all of my other projects, and will be starting the Chevelle soon. Too much "stuff" so I can more focus. I did pick up my SS AMD hood last week. Funny how something small can spark you into motivation! Step one will be separating the body from the old frame. Then rotisserie.
Very nice. have fun taking it apart. Remember a lot of pictures and that way you could refer on how to put it back together or if you're questioning what that hole was for. Lol
Don't forget the body is mounted on rubber bushings. Be careful when jacking the car up. The frame does flex and the bumper may collide with the painted body.
Yes. Thank you for pointing that out. I reinforce the frame and I used polyurethane bushings. Check out some of my other videos of the work that I am doing to the GTO . Thanks for watching, all the best
I'm doing something similar but I'm also fabricating the bumper for center exhaust exit since I'm putting a fuel cell in the trunk, plenty of room for 3 inch exhaust
@carcraftgarage5430 I was thinking of putting a fuel cell as well. The only thing is they don't hold that much gas. Plus I am putting a LS3 motor in, so I have to get a pressurized fuel tank. I was thinking of running the exhaust underneath the car pulling it out in front of the rear tire.
That would look pretty good. I think the side exit looks good. Especially if you fabricate the rocker down enough to put rectangle exits that are part of the rocker
I have similar issues with lower vowel but it appears to be inner rocker to floor pan. I am replacing floor pan with Jegs 2 piece (69 convertible) different frame
Excellent fab skills as always Harry! Great work!
Thanks Steve, how is your car coming along?
