Beautiful song. When I listen to it, my mind floats to regrets and missing people who I don't get to see so often. Bono's voice puts in my nostalgia overload.
Hopefully one day people will appreciate U2 , masters of their craft. Consistently re-inventing themselves. In the top 5 bands in history and my personal favourite :)
Eno and the band recorded 25 hours of music during the sessions.. who knows how many other gems are rotting away in their vaults. We DEMAND more Passenger outtakes!!! :-/
Yeah, I've felt the same way for a long time. I know so many people go for "Nirvana" bc they were "cooler", or some edge lords will say "Guns N Roses", or whatever. But U2 had the best songs of their era. Just going through, song by song, they were the best songwriters of their rock era, in my humble opinion
I first got into U2 about 10 years ago, I am 21 now. A lot of songs got frozen in time for me, but not this tune. I listen to it time from time and it just keeps evolving and revealing its complex textures to me scaring me to think what I may think of it in a few years (no I'm not on drugs btw). "See the future just hanging there" summarises it very well!
I started listening to U2 at 11 years old too. In my "rebel years" I started listening to hard rock and prog, but I agree that this song never expires. A classic with the power to touch one's soul at any time.
Such a simple song , but it shows the greatness of U2 and Bono. " The air is clean , my skin is clear." " One day i'll be back , l hope l remember where its at."
Same, here! I couldn't believe how many left their seats, presumably to go to the washroom or get beer or something. Such a rarity. I agree with starfish146...casual fans would never know this tune.
Their work between AB and ATYCLB is very underrated. To me, it is their most elevated period.... I would all U2 work between WAR to All that you can’t leave behind are The work of geniuses....
This is the sort of musical apex that even a band as gifted as U2 can only reach at one point in their career, with the right collaborators steering them closer to speaking the Languages of the world.
Gorgeous music and what a thing I have for Christian Bale, find him very appealing and so talented. I did not see this movie, but the clip, esp at the end, really gives me the extreme feels. Whew.
This has to be heard when you are hurt mentally..run to your blue room & hear this track- there is more to say..it just gets you back to yourself. yeah it does-
@Reongaro Dude. Millions of babies get blue rooms a year, a majority of boy babies get BLUE rooms! It's completely possible for a deceased baby to have a blue room...
Une des plus belles chansons de U2 !!!!! Mon top 5 1)Electrical Storm 2)your blue room 3) Where the street are no name 4) Cedars of Lebanon 5) I Will follow ... etc ,etc .... C est sans fin .....il y à tellement de chansons que toutes sont des chefs-d'œuvre pour moi ..
Fucking brilliant. The range of this band has no ceiling. Despite their rock immortality, they will be never appreciated or get recognition for producing music like this.
great video and music! Sean Bean and Christian Bale in the same movie... both gorgeous men and amazing actors, and this movie is just perfect. perfect.
While I disagree with a lot of people who say U2 has faded in recent years, this song shows one area where they have declined. Bono's falsetto on this song is inspiring. His falsetto on 'sleep like a baby tonight' is the only negative in the song and it shows how smoking has taken its toll on his range over the last 20 years .... also love Adam Clayton on vocals here....
@@rocketassistedgoat1079 - Brian Eno co-produced (with Daniel Lanois) 3 of their best albums long before this song (The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree, and Achtung Baby).
@@michaelgriffiths8068 Ooo, the Unforgettable Fire's great. The others are merely good. But then the best '80s years (from someone who lived it): were the six years from '80-85.
@@rocketassistedgoat1079 - yes, Unforgettable Fire is a great album. My main point is that Brian Eno was working with U2 as far back as 1984 (The Unforgettable Fire)….long before ‘Your Blue Room’ was recorded (released in 1995).
Believe it or not, I've never seen Equilibrium. But i was really intrigued by this video, and decided to watch it over this past weekend. It was great. And so is the job you did with this video.
The future? 😷🤯 I've always loved this underrated U2 track and this montage really does work with it. I sought out the film out after watching this. I prefer this to the film! Great job!✌
I wish they rereleased this whole entire album again. It's a classic mid 90s gem that has the sorta sounds that I remember of childhood listening to Massive Attack, Bjork, Tricky, Portished and a few other trip hop acts. but this album along with brian eno is testament to the kind of work that they could do and shoud have kept dabbling in. They were basically Radiohead before Radiohead in a sense haha. ( and I love both bands).
I meant for Itunes, which it isnt available for. I mean, I don't mind the physical copy, but in terms of something for on the go listening, unless I use you tube converter. But I prefer to get the actual album from itunes should it ever get released on there.
ahh .. so you can't rent it from a company that reserves the right to delete all your music and mangles the music they rent ya'. gotcha. .. I'm very glad I don't rent a tunnel into my HD .. lol.
Hey, I'm just saying that its not easy to obtain a digital download of the album aside from having the physical copy is all im saying. Unless you know a good quality streaming site that could help preserve the quality of the album so i could listen to it on the go. I know itunes isn't the best way to go.
um? just put it on your music device? I avoid streaming most of the time (TH-cam at home an exception) .. for exactly this reason. gotta feed myself, not be spoon fed, rented to, etc. I guess I'm old school. I like owning things, not signing contracts for overlords that own them.

I'm obsessed with it. 🙏🥰💎
Me too.
Hell yeah, you're right! I ❤ this fucking song!
My favorite U2 song of all time. I feel like I'm in another world when I listen to it.
Too many bang on about not liking Bono, they forget to listen to all the music. This is an outstanding track. Nobody has as many top songs as U2.
Well said, people bang on about bono and forget how good they are
which for a musician, the music is all that matters. All the other talk is just gossip
Beautiful song. When I listen to it, my mind floats to regrets and missing people who I don't get to see so often. Bono's voice puts in my nostalgia overload.
My favourite song ever is The Unforgettable Fire. This is a close second.
I love this song.
A brilliant band working perfectly with each other.
Hopefully one day people will appreciate U2 , masters of their craft. Consistently re-inventing themselves. In the top 5 bands in history and my personal favourite :)
I believe people have been appreciating them for a long time :)
this song... it is amazing how beautiful it is. i don't think many people know about it. too bad.
We do💪
It's was also featured in the million dollar hotel sound track. Bono wrote the screenplay
Came here from a meme... I'm glad memes are a fusion of lots of cultures and experiences, because you get to discover lots of new things.
Bono singing in falsetto= Amazingly beautiful music.
This is one of those songs that's much more than just a song
"Time is a string of pearls" don't forget how precious life is
Eno and the band recorded 25 hours of music during the sessions.. who knows how many other gems are rotting away in their vaults. We DEMAND more Passenger outtakes!!! :-/
The first time that I heard the guitar at the end... ooohh, and Adam singing, wow... 20 years later, it still gets me.
And all this time I thought it was the edge doing vocals
Beautiful song. Like all U2s music it's so catchy and hypnotic and puts you into a whole new world. Just can't get enough.
Someone who gets it. You absolutely nailed it .
Masterpiece. Not to mention that great movie… Equilibrium. Great union there. Bliss.
This song is more than amazing. I have no idea of how many times I've already heard it.

Brian Eno is the godfather of music

Great tune this, you could see leonord Cohen covering this.

Simplemente es hermosísima esta canción 😍😍😍😍
Perfecta. 😊

I know. Most of their 90s music gets shoved aside, especially Zooropa and Pop. This is unknown to most people, it seems.
@@psychedelicfright85 the more U listen to a U2 recording, the more you appreciate just how talented they are....a range that goes deep and dark .
by Pessengers (U2+Eno), the influence of Brian is apparent

Sorry I missed this one before I replied. Great album! I think part of it was in the film Million Dollar Hotel?
This is one of my absolute favourites. You know, Bono said in an interview that it's one of his favourites too!
So So SO Lou Reed feeling. Great!
Masterpiece. Both song and clip.

U2...smooth,healing tune....divine voice....and Bale.....oh Heaven....

It's time to go again
To your blue room
Got some questions to ask of you
In your blue room
The air is clean
Your skin is clear
I've had enough of
hanging round here
It's a different kind of conversation
In your blue room
Saw me coming
In and outside
Saw me coming
Somewhere to hide
And time is a string of pearls
Your blue room
Once again
See the future just hanging there
Your blue room
A new frame
A new perspective
Looking down on my objectives
Your instructions
Whatever their directions
Your blue room
Saw me coming
East by the moon
Saw me coming
Can you feel
(It's allright)
Your blue room
One day I'll be back
Your blue room
Yeah, I hope I remember where it's at
Your blue room
We see me slide down
Won't you give me a home
So much for change
Zooming in
Zooming out
Nothing I can't do without
A lense to it all up close
To Magnify what no one knows
Never in company
Never alone
No car alarm
No cellular phone
Love this song and love this movie!!!
