That series of shots after the “why are you calling me John?” line is some of my favorite in cinema, on par with the Jurassic Park dinosaur reveal shots. When it shows Heather being scared and confused, then cuts to show John fully in his outfit as her dad, then eventually shows her in Nancy’s PJ’s, then the spin shot to reveal the house…gives me chills every time. It’s just done so fucking well. ♥️
Yes!!! And then add to that Freddy slowly entering into our world at the same time!!! Wes knew what he was doing with this one!
Love this movie and loved your reaction! I lol’ed so hard at the Johnny Depp shade and totally agree with you about Nancy/Heather…she is THEE Final Girl! Also, justice for Julie! She was a real one and didn’t deserve to go out so brutally, even though it was a MOMENT.
I feel like Johnny Depp had a questionable reputation around this time, that's the only reason I thought of him 😂😂 Julie was done so dirty! I feel like if she was able to see Freddy she would have given him a run for his money!!
I feel like Heather Lankencamp's face card never declined in the 80's -90's. Love this installment it was a good way to end the Freddy universe.

I never know how I feel about this movie. I liked it when I first saw it as a teen but it fell off so much when I watched it decades later.
It’s sort of a precursor to Scream with all the meta storyline. It might be because the Scream franchise pounded this type of story into the ground with every sequel, that I felt different towards New Nightmare.

I think I like the movie more now since Scream was introduced to us. Prior to that, I don't think I understood the idea of Meta horror. Wes was really an innovator for the horror genre
This is tied for pt 3 with being my favorite of the franchise. I liked the darker Freddy and it was cool to see Heather, again. Went to see this in the theaters when I was a kid, but half the theater didn't like it, lol.
And Sista Gurl, let 'em know... set them expectations. "This here my house... so you can go on head & carry ya ass if you don't like how shit is run here. Thank ya." lol
I feel like Wes was ahead of his time with the metacinema. I don't remember being a huge fan of it when I first watched it but after watching it a few more times, I liked it much more! I would have to agree that it is the best sequel after Dream Warriors

Yeah, I agree with Wes being ahead of his time. And I appreciated him for giving Black audiences genuinely good, fun films with some budget in People Under the Stairs and Vampire in Brooklyn.

The story is pretty interesting with somewhat of the meta stuff in the movie and I believe that it's Wes's best work, in my opinion. 🙂
The creativity in this script is top tier! Wes thought outside the box and gave us a great final film for the franchise

Hey Sista, you so silly when you do the FRIGHT NIGHT FRIDAY opening lmao 😂😂. I like both the 1984 original & this one too, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994)!!! This is when Freddy used to be so terrifying & scarier in my opinion!! Fun fact the boy, Dylan, was the same actor who played Gage the creepy boy from Stephen King’s Pet Semetary (1989)!! Can you react to The Omen (1976) on fright night friday as well, it’s so creepy! Have a peaceful weekend ❤
Now, that little boy was adorable in Pet Semetary, so he gets a pass in that movie lol I can definitely react to The Omen. I wanted to watch the new one that just came out, so this would be a good watch for the channel

God I love this movie so much. Heather is a goddess, I loved the story, amazing ending to the franchise - real love letter for the fans. Also - I know a lot of people aren't a fan of him - but I find the Freddy-demon in this movie so much scarier than "our" Freddy - and it was a great way of differentiating between the two. I basically never open my closet to this day without a quick mental plan of what in the room I can smash against his head if he pops out.
I agree! Especially his Freddy claws having those bones and tendons...very unsettling!
Have you ever tried watching the "Ash vs. Evil Dead" tv series? It's a lot of fun and I think some fans even rate it higher than the Evil Dead movies! But I'd love to see an "Army of Darkness" reaction too! 😁

I have not watched the TV series. I have heard good things about it. I have a little beef with the Evil Dead franchise. I almost received a copyright strike with one of their videos, so I don't know if I will do a rection to any of those movies again. I would like to but my video being blocked put a bad taste in my mouth with their copyright holder

So, I'm hesitant to watch that franchise because of stupid copyright. I already had a video blocked and a strike threatened with one of those movies. I may try again with Evil Dead 2. I do have an Evil Dead reaction on the channel though

This film is my least favorite of the franchise and I say that as someone who acknowledges a lot of these films are garbage. I’ve still watched every other film 10 times. I’ve seen this one once. No one in this movie can act. I’ve never liked heather as an actress and they somehow went out and hired a kid who would make her look like a 37 time Oscar winner.
Love horror movies but I was never a fan of this franchise 🤷🏾♂️

Miko Hughes (Dillon) played that character just the way the people that picked him, the director, and the producers wanted him to. This is a Hollywood backed movie, you as a n actor just can't do what you want. That kid was not a Will Smith, Tom Cruise, or Leonardo DiCaprio. My understanding of the process is likely wrong, but that is my opinion.
