Today let's analyze the playing style of the male table tennis players and the female table tennis player.
As you have seen in the previous video, that female players can defeat male players. Fan Zhendong lost to Chen Meng. This is not the first time that Fan Zhendong lost to Chen Meng. The game started at 6-8 with the 2 points handicap for Fan Zhendong.

I think it's not really correct to say Chen Meng "beat" Fan Zhendong if she had the point advantage. It's like saying that my younger cousin "beat me in chess" when I played without the queen.
FZD and Chen Meng play 6-8, 8-9 in alternate games. To apply the chess analogy, it's more like Chen has a pawn or two advantage over FZD. It's nothing like as much as the Queen!

@@peterreid9769 2 or 1 point advantage so close to match point is equivalent to a large head start especially when table tennis is very punishing to any imprecise plays, if this was played at full sets, it's highly unlikely the women will even win a single set, but there is a large gap that is closing a little between China and the rest of the world, for example it's possible for the Chinese women to be competitive with male players outside the top 60 world rankings from other countries because the gap so huge between China and the rest of the world.

unlikely，the male female match is basedon their world rank, thus chenmeng vs fanzhwndong, although malong won olympic gold, his world rank is unlikely to surpass fanzhendong, so formal match btw malong and chenmeng is unlikely to happen, but informal training may be.

Men and ladies games are so different. Men more power and tend to use more foreheads and move away from the table. Ladies more speed and stay close to the table

Women have more speed? You are so delusional. I play table tennis at an amateur level and I can defeat women that are ranked much higher than I am and are much younger. There is a huge difference in power and speed. That's just the truth.

That wasn't a match. Dimitrij hit the net more times than he found the table! However, I do agree that there's little between top male and female Chinese players.
The women defeated the men 2-1 recently starting with a small advantage. They started with a small advantage and finished with a small advantage!
Advantage is not very small 8-9 and 6-8 is very close to the game point and one mistake by the men player will create immense pressure. It is not even compared to 0-3 or 0-4.

They start 6-8, 8-9 in alternate games. When CNT women and men play each other, men win approximately 60% of the points.
@@peterreid9769 if the game starts from 4 - 0 the game will ve different.. starting from 8-6 and 9-8 will be much tougher for men
0-4 would be interesting. A male player would have to win 11 out of 16 points to complete an 11-9 victory. Tough against players like Chen Meng, Liu Shiwen and Sun Yingsha. I’d love to see it.

The results show that the women are equal to the men. I think that this will actually change the way that the men play table tennis because the Chinese coaches will see this and in the future you will see the men playing closer to the table and more in the centre.
No why are people so dumb, male player would win in a best of 7 with no handicap easily, coaches know what they are doing much better than u, female start advantaged for a reason
@@gigliolavaccari7482 I agree to that. Also the chinese players play rather untypical shots. I would think that they are told to play to the strong side of the female and when female player has advantage then game is free. Male player always plays with handicap.

Fan isn’t ZJK tho… Chen Meng just has a different playstyle than men he plays against usually
The CN Men vs Women matches also gave women a few points handicap.
I think the men are too used to power play so this close to the net style messes with his timing. That’s my guess for why they ever win against him.

In Table Tennis, a female player is equally playing against a male player fair and square.
From China, Chen Meng, Sun, Liu Shiwen,....can beat many, many top male players in the world, including, Dimitri, Timo, Singh, ....
From USA, Lily Zhang,..can do that.
From Australia, Miu Miu, Fan,...can beat all top Australian male players.
From Singapore, Fang Tianwei can do that.
