@@ej3016 realistically speaking the average American wouldn't even shop there. Depending on where you live you'll either be shopping at Walmart, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Aldi, Stop and Shop or C-Town. Where I live I use stop and shop and Amazon Fresh depending on my budget.
It’s a rip off. I think most people would go broke if they bought all their groceries there. It might be cool to try out some products for a special treat occasionally. If you are a millionaire or billionaire then I guess it would be okay to shop there on a regular basis.
11$ for coconut water? I am a Sri Lankan all I need to do is just go outside to my garden throw a rock at my king coconut tree and drink fresh KC Water fresher than yours 🇱🇰
Real coconut water should come out of a coconut. If that’s the best you’ve had then either you never tried real organic coconut water or you just enjoy the added sugar in that plastic container with other flavor enhancers
The Birch Benders pancake and waffle mix, grain free, that you passed around the 1:30 mark. I buy that at around 8-10$, for a smaller bag, at normal grocery stores. Anything for Celiac or allergen friendly is just crazy since all the trends started these past 2-4 years.
The cheapest thing was pistachio milk lmfao? Arguably one of most expensive raw ingredients you can get at a general store...everything else has a horrendous markup then if freaking pistachio milk is the most affordable product hahah
yeah honestly, its zeird, for instance the maple syrup was not that bad, especially if its quality maple syrup> some items seem to not be marked up too high, others are ridiculous
A quote that helps me be a lot more responsible is, “You don’t get rich by spending all your money.” I’m not wealthy financially, but I’m doing pretty well for someone in college living at home.
I honestly think 70% of people who are frequenting this supermarket are far from wealthy, the other large chunk being influencers and maybe a handful of actually wealthy people.
that's not why your wealthy, i always meet actors and business owners and they eat there all the time. One guy who owns mushroom brand said his ADHD was healed from eating at Erwhon.
I'd like to think that one day when I'm loaded, I could come here and do some shopping but honestly I'd probably look at the prices and leave. What a waste of money on things that are so average!!!!
What is funny is that in the western world you actually see more of the final customers in that kind of shop . I live in South East Asia and in that equivalent of upmarket shops there is mainly maids who will shop there driven by the chauffeur . Same for the schools , if your kid is in a posh school in developing countries you will see way less parents than in a posh school in America for example . A friend of mine was working for a big consultancy firm here in South East Asia and because they were recruiting at a high level the local candidates have been mostly educated abroad and who can educate their kids abroad if not la crème de la crème . So what happened is that when he launched a one year apprenticeship program the newbies were coming to the office driven by their home chauffeur . 😂
That store is wild! Thx for the honest reaction. Best coconut water is fresh out of a coconut tho and it doesn't cost as much as that processed bottle thing.😆
this video made me subscribe. Would love to see more trips to this luxury grocery store to see what they sell compared to normal stores, and if its really worth it.

Usually, you don't pay for taste, but responsibly sourced ingredients, raw and organic ingredients without industrial fillers and small ingredient lists. Taste testing these products only makes little sense. Check for mineral ratios in the water for example. However, these products are calculated ripoffs, as you'll always find people willing to fall for status marketing.
I love lavender lemonade, so I buy it whenever I see it. Unfortunately, so many end up being disappointing. The best one I ever had was at a little restaurant in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was $12 a glass but worth every penny (I was being frugal, so I only had two 😂).

I live in LA and we decided this is the new way of determining wealth. How many bags of groceries you walk out of erewhon with lol.
hahaha so true!
Lmao I can’t even afford to think of this store
99%ers, one has one's shopping delivered from erewhon. One would not think of going one's self. LOL great video.
@@johnpetrisko wow. Hadn’t even considered that lol
This store is just a average Canadian grocery store price wise.
Food is expensive up here in Canada.
Considering how much the snacks are individually, the sushi sounds like a bargain at $20.

thank you captain obvious. i hope you understand this store IS for rich people, not regular folk.
I wouldn't shop there even if I were millionaire. It's a waste of money. If I want fancy stuff, I'm going to Whole Foods.
@@laurateaho-white9654 bro thinks Whole Foods in fancy LMAO

Exactly... and as far as I know, coconut water is transparent and doesn't have pink hue to it..

$26 for water - we are getting it. And what are you going to do with it? Put in a museum? Or actually drink it $13 a glass of water at a time??
I struggle to pick the 1$ or 2$ gallon water and he's buying a 25$ gallon

Why was I getting The Handmaids Tale vibe from that store? the way everything is all lined up like like a toystore!

Canadian groceries also 😅
It looks expensive and the food looks amazing...but I can think of somewhere that must be more expensive, the Harrods foodhall in London
