- Most Naga villages have stones that hold stories of myths and legends, origins, feasts of merit and more. From monoliths to memorial stones, some of these stones are still standing. They are the keepers of our stories.
“FiveStones” is an oral narrative project. It is a series of five films exploring stories of stones from Naga villages.
Angami and cheka forbid their younger brother sumi from using that stone which started a quarrel between brothers and that compelled their mother to burn down that stone. It is also believed that along with the spirit bird (that ascended to heaven) came a magnificent beautiful rooster and flew northwards direction (present zunheboto areas)which their mother asked her sumi son to follow that rooster, and in turn led to new settlements
Love every bit of the series. Very creative to put the kezhakeno stone on the last series of the five stone narratives film. It is informative and well produced. 👍
Koza and his wife along with 3 sons migrated from Mongolia... so, from where did their grandmother come from to burn down the stone..? 😮
I love khezhakeno
