LIving in Seattle WA where there are a lot of dark, short, grey days from Nov through Feb, I too get SAD. I also notice SAD in a LOT of people during this time of year (irritability, low mood, low energy). If we get an unusually sunny day there are tons of people walking outside with smiles for everyone. The short, dark days do indeed effect people. I keep SAD "managed" through getting outside in the light at EVERY chance, getting exercise every day, keeping busy and not ruminating on my SAD, reminding myself that the days are getting longer in Jan., doing surprises for others and getting out of myself, and enjoying friends and baking and reading and my break off from doing so much spring and summer gardening (exhausting). Also, I try not to put so much emphasis on Xmas with the huge 3 month buildup leading into Dec 25th. Even Jesus wouldn't place so much on this 1 day in Dec. I so love your beautiful videos and your soothing voice. Your SAD is passing and the days are getting longer. Now go out for a walk even if there is a lot of snow outside :) KNowing that you too get the winter blues is comforting to me in a way- I am not alone in this. Keep those creative videos coming!

I too find getting outside is helpful and lately I've been reading a lot more too. And I always try to remind myself that everyday the days are getting longer and spring will be here soon. I can't wait until I see the first Crocus or Daffodil.

Aww thank you, I am so glad you enjoyed! I always wondered what it would be like to spend a Christmas in the Southern hemisphere when it's summer. Is it very hot in the summer around Christmas? New Zealand is totally on my bucket list, it looks like such a beautiful place.
